I really like this idea. I have a theory that Placi’s five heads would form a spiral, which would allow him to commune with his god, based on the text of the Spira incantation.
Placidusax 5 heads are like the full connection to the greater will( symbolic of the whole One great) like 5 fingers but him ending up being reduced down two heads is similar to the conflict and reduction down to the golden order(with the now remaining greater will) and the two fingers vs its antithesis, the frenzy flamed 3 fingers, just as bayle is the antithesis to the fractured placidusax with his now three heads(bayles head and the two heads of placidusax). Furthermore bayles desire to avenge the lesser dragons, and whatever possible injustices they may have faced, is also the same as the 3 fingers origin as being the vengeance of the merchants.

From everything I’ve seen all the DLC bosses remain standing when they are killed even if they have to use their weapon to keep themselves standing. I like that detail as even if they are defeated they have pride in the fight and their deaths to remain standing in front of you until they fade away.
Bayle's case is curious because he has enough pride to summon one last bolt of lightning. It can be interpreted in two ways: He is trying to launch one last attack before falling. He prefers to commit suppuku before someone else kills him.

im not sure if the lore backs this up but I believe the first dragon communion was bayle killing the giant dragon we see by the alter and eating its heart to gain power. It would explain why he is so reviled apart from him being a drake, and why he attempted to kill placidusax in the first place. so the ancient dragons wouldve started the "drake warriors" who would also devour hearts to gain power but specifically drake hearts, leading them down the path to devour the greatest drake heart there is... bayles.
I think there's very little to corroborate this and the (admittedly unfounded) belief that Bayle is the first drake directly contradicts this but its a really cool headcanon and its one ill be stealing
I'm happy with how you portrayed Igon and the dragons. The lore may haave been scant, but the tale was so ancient that much has propably just been lost in time.
I think it's worth noting that Placidusax only lost 2 heads against Bayle, and was already missing one when they fought. The Old Lord's Talisman depicts the dragonlord with 4 heads, indicating there was a period of time when he was rocking 4 heads. This is corroborated by the fact that Bayle only has 2 of Placidusax's heads on his back, from where Placidusax bit down with so much force that Bayle had to rip the heads off at the neck by flying away to get free. I don't think a third head with that much biting force would've just fallen off, so it's again more likely that Placidusax had 4 heads during the fight.
???? That doesn't make sense. Placi has 2 heads when you fight him. There are 2 heads on Bayle's body, that makes 4 right there so how are you proposing he was missing a head already before the fight?

Great video, in my playthrough of the dlc I killed Bayle without ever meeting the priestess so it was interesting to hear her dialogue. Also you killed it with the Igon part, amazing work!
So I watched a vid recently with some interesting points that I can’t explain verbatim. But maybe Bayle was the first omen to become a dragon through dragon communion. Instead of becoming a magma wyrm he ascended further. Just a fun thought
I love the part where the priestess says the spirit of one that is young and short of sight , and that they cant fathom these thoughts because of their age.It may be a nod to bayle being younger than the dragon lord and saw himself as the new leader of the drake type dragons. This is probably why they fought , kind of like a new gorilla becoming the alpha in a new age. It almost makes you look back to when you were younger and moved with a different mindset.. You dont really flaw the follies of youth anymore because its just that youth but you cant imagine thinking that way again. Great video and thank you for putting it all together so easy to vibe 2 Edit : I'd also like to add i love how even tho igon seems to despise bayle and curses him the priestess says that Igon reminds her of bayle. I think that shows us that even tho we can be at odds and hate something we really have more in common than things that set us apart. Again thank you for the presentation made my day and i think you should keep at it !
Bayle is my favourite fromsoft boss of all time and I have beaten all of them(even the optional ones). The beginning of the second phase literally had me screaming’BRING IT ON!!’
I think that because of the ancient dragon's subjugation of the lesser dragons, bayle then challenged plasidusax in order for a change in leadership for all dragons. Not only this, but I find his appearance strikingly similar to Mohg, an Omen, who also are a race that are looked down upon and hunted. I think he therefore has links to the omen curse, further enforced by the horns on his heart, which only omens can grow. Is Bayle an omen dragon? It then makes me wonder - why are there so many dragon corpses along the mountainside before Bayle? Why would he hunt his own kind that he literally fought to free from subjugation? I then realise these could be victims of dragon communion, and Bayle was the only one left.
I hope it's okay that I shared this video into two Facebook groups that I'm in for Elden Ring. I feel more people would and should see this. Your editing, voice-over, storytelling, music, and quality are super good.
They should honestly make another DLC where we fight the broken and mortally wounded bosses in there prime state. I honestly think that would be a awesome DLC, like imagine fighting bayle or placidusax in there prime or maybe even malenia before the rot took her limbs and sight(I think) that would be such a cool DLC
bayle is a omen dragon it seems, mabie part of a transition between dragons and hornsent, got a few good ideas il list em you think serosh was a demigod or something in the hornsent culture st trina and putrescence somehow connected to rot, got the flower, the st thing, and putrescence means rot we see in game that things are reborn by being eaten by other things, example land octopuses (there ovary says its a white sack filled with blood, sounds like miquellas cocoon probably how pests are born), the flowers, the erdtree, i think its the law of regression, souls (runes) are ultimately fragments of the one great, we turn runes into strength, souls, i think the erdtree turns people into sap, and then people like godfrey and rodahn eat them and become bigger and stronger and why the omen are bigger the universe is a black hole (one great/ greater will ) the lands between the event horizon (golden ring) and the shadow, event horizons have shadows, when we free the stars they all shoot off in the same direction.... weird right, hyetta tells us that it was all a mistake and the greater will wants to be whole again, ymir tells us the same pretty much, i think all of the outer gods working to the same goal and the golden order as well hence the law of regression, the greater will is taking all life energy for itself as its a black hole and will end up swallowing it whole even light, is a lot about the void and night n black items in the dlc i feel its screaming at us
One stuff impressive is that placidussax didn’t fight since their fight but Bayle keep killing dozen and dozen of dragons and warriors that came for him
Nobody seems to notice that bayle when reaching second phase, sprouts the extra 2 wings, that makes him a true ancient dragon - albeit for only a brief moment
I think Igon was launched off the mountain when we first find him screaming and somehow that crazy bastard climbed up the mountain to where we find him with the two drakes
You know what would be awesome? Have Igon slowly drag himself up to Jagged Peak after first interacting with him, like the crawling guy in Gael's boss arena (and if you kill the dual drakes he just teleports there)
My character listening to the dragon priestess talking about how Placidusax blesses followers and whatnot while holding the Dragon King's Cragblade: "Soooo about that guy......."
One of my theory’s is that maybe dragon communion took place before Bayle’s revolt and is what led him to his betrayal, they see his kind as lower and want to build a army of individuals who can become strong enough to fell even dragons just by devouring a heart of a dragon, even the lower dragons hearts work and this is what maybe sets off Bayle into a unstoppable rage for his kind.

All the voice actors put so much effort and power into these characters.
The quality of your videos are getting much better
What a story.
Damn.
Well done, sir.
The fight scene at around 12:30 was very cinematic and enjoyable to watch, well done!
The editing on this video is incredible. Subbed.
Ok the severed heads of sax sunken into bayle is an insanely awesome detail.
Great video and thank you for putting it all together so easy to vibe 2
Edit : I'd also like to add i love how even tho igon seems to despise bayle and curses him the priestess says that Igon reminds her of bayle. I think that shows us that even tho we can be at odds and hate something we really have more in common than things that set us apart. Again thank you for the presentation made my day and i think you should keep at it !
Bayle was the swan song to my Elden Ring Experience as a Dragon Communion lover.
Well done! The shot of bayles death was incredible loved ur story telling and editing
Woahh!!! Watch out vaati! This was so cinematic, good work 🎉
Bayle is my favourite fromsoft boss of all time and I have beaten all of them(even the optional ones). The beginning of the second phase literally had me screaming’BRING IT ON!!’
You had all of Igons good dialogs in there so i think you got everything
Beautiful presentation you definitely did it justice!
Loved the epic intro 😙🤌
.. this story.. has a lot of passion and urning till the end..
Fine storytelling! I really enjoyed you used Igons audios to support the tale.
AWESOME NEW VIDEO !!!
Thank you for the video. Beautifully directed with great narration.
I like how "eldritch" the views and actions of placidusax and the priestess are. its a nice touch and makes perfect sense given their nature and age
I hope it's okay that I shared this video into two Facebook groups that I'm in for Elden Ring. I feel more people would and should see this. Your editing, voice-over, storytelling, music, and quality are super good.
11:24 is one of most badass attack/moves I have ever seen in videogames!!
Bayle the Dread! You shall haunt me no longer!
Its really satisfying to know that at the end Igon was able to redeem himself and rest for good.
by far the best character in any souls game ever made or to be made what a legend
Bayle is my favorite dragon lore of this game
bayle is a omen dragon it seems, mabie part of a transition between dragons and hornsent, got a few good ideas il list em
you think serosh was a demigod or something in the hornsent culture
st trina and putrescence somehow connected to rot, got the flower, the st thing, and putrescence means rot
we see in game that things are reborn by being eaten by other things, example land octopuses (there ovary says its a white sack filled with blood, sounds like miquellas cocoon probably how pests are born), the flowers, the erdtree, i think its the law of regression, souls (runes) are ultimately fragments of the one great, we turn runes into strength, souls, i think the erdtree turns people into sap, and then people like godfrey and rodahn eat them and become bigger and stronger and why the omen are bigger
the universe is a black hole (one great/ greater will ) the lands between the event horizon (golden ring) and the shadow, event horizons have shadows, when we free the stars they all shoot off in the same direction.... weird right, hyetta tells us that it was all a mistake and the greater will wants to be whole again, ymir tells us the same pretty much, i think all of the outer gods working to the same goal and the golden order as well hence the law of regression, the greater will is taking all life energy for itself as its a black hole and will end up swallowing it whole even light, is a lot about the void and night n black items in the dlc i feel its screaming at us
Igon's voice actor was gettin it
One stuff impressive is that placidussax didn’t fight since their fight but Bayle keep killing dozen and dozen of dragons and warriors that came for him
vey nice editing and liked the story too.
why is lightning literally everything now? it is holy, it is dragonic, it is ice, now it is fire... what next? lightning is wet?
I mean… Ice is water
Awesome video.. Really well done.
Also
CUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRSEEEEEEE YOUUUUU BAAAAAAAYYYLLLLLEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have Igon slowly drag himself up to Jagged Peak after first interacting with him, like the crawling guy in Gael's boss arena (and if you kill the dual drakes he just teleports there)
Imagine eating his heart and then acquiring the Frenzied Flame. Who’s will holds out in the end?
My character listening to the dragon priestess talking about how Placidusax blesses followers and whatnot while holding the Dragon King's Cragblade: "Soooo about that guy......."
“CURSE YOU BAAAAYYYYYYLLLLLLLLEEE!” The best line in the game by far, not even a competition.
I quite liked your video.Cheers for the hard work.
"WITH A HAIL OF HARPOONS, WITH EVERY LAST DROP OF MY BEING ,YARRRRR "-Igon
Great job! I liked it. Very Dragony!
Would be amazing if you covered the full story of PLACIDUSAX.
Great production quality
One of my theory’s is that maybe dragon communion took place before Bayle’s revolt and is what led him to his betrayal, they see his kind as lower and want to build a army of individuals who can become strong enough to fell even dragons just by devouring a heart of a dragon, even the lower dragons hearts work and this is what maybe sets off Bayle into a unstoppable rage for his kind.
His hitbox, especially his head, is a huge pain in the neck...
Even compared to most dragons.
Great storytelling and visuals love these type of artistic videos very entertaining❤
Fighting Bayle with the song Blood and Thunder by Mastodon on in the background was some of the most fun I have had.
