Is it just me or would it be cool to see the bubbled up first run turned? I'm honestly wondering how interesting it looks and if it can actually be turned 🤔
No, it’s not just you! 😉
Exactly what I was thinking too!
Yes
It may not be stable for the lathe but if anyone could use a Dremel or other tools to carve or design something it would be Nick, for sure 😊❤ He may have discarded it for now because at 05:08 you can see that the bottom is solid but the second pour is what got foamy. 😨😱 That being said nothing is too crazy or weird for our Nick 😜🤪😜
Yes!
Nick we wouldn’t care if you put up a video of you doing your laundry. We just love coming along with you on your creative journey. Take as long as you need. We all hit the little bell and will be thrilled to watch whatever and whenever you post. Love your pine cone pot-it looks like a funky pumpkin 🎃
100% agree!!!
Epoxy laundry 😂
Absolutely agree!! I would happily take a vlog style video or even updates just saying, hey my projects aren't going well! Literally whatever is simple for him to film and get out I'm fine with! No need to stress!
I can't say it any better than this!
I agree I love that you let us into your life we love you brother
Do another one using clear! Being able to look into the pinecone would be pretty neat!! Thumbs up! Stay safe. Jim
Yes, I was wondering the same thing. Clear would be great!!
A popular preschool Christmas craft (at least where I am), is to put glitter on fircones. I would love to have glitter in the clear resin and maybe a light on the bottom of the cone.
Same. Clear (or a transparent color) would have been awesome.
ooh! Pre-strung with fairy lights too!
edit: with the lights buried deep in the 'petals' of the cone.
Clear with a tiny amount of glitter ✨ would be amazing look like has fairy dust coming out
Hey Nick I'm Mark, I'm the one that sent those to you. Loved the project. I also love it when you show the failures. Makes it more real. I have 3 Sugar Pines in the back acreage and I get about 5 or 6 cones per year, if I can get to them before the squirrels do. And to be honest I only sent the medium sized ones as the BIG ones wouldn't fit in the box! LOL. If you ever want more, I'd be happy to send them. I have a couple BIG ones and a whole bunch of the medium sized ones like I sent before. Thanks for sharing the project and as others have said, we enjoy the videos and they are always worth waiting for. You do not need to put one up every week if you need to take longer. Thanks for all you do.
The pine cone made a rose pattern! Beautiful. I would love to see this again with clear or a blue.
Nick, I am, as always, amazed by your talent and creativity. My sons and I don't care if you put out a new video every day, week, month or whatever. When you do we will be here to watch it. Keep your chin up, be proud of what you do. Because even if it didnt turn out like you planned, we all learned something, and had a great time.
Edited because autocorrect is 🤬
Thank you for showing us the frustrating side of crafting. Seeing issues and how to correct them, or move on, is important for other crafters to see. You are showing that crafting isn't as easy as a lot of channels make it out to be so, when we have issues in our own crafts, we know it happens to everyone. You are also showing a healthy way to deal with the frustration that comes with those issues. You are doing a wonderful job!
Don't worry about getting videos out on time, just put out videos when you are able. We all know life happens and crafts sometimes fail. Don't stress it, we aren't going anywhere. ❤❤
Well, I was gonna go to bed... but then Nick released a new video, and I just had to watch.
Same
Me too.
As a crafter, I appreciate you showing the whole process, mistakes and all. I am taking a break at the moment because I am spending more time fixing mistakes than making something lovely. Love from Tennesse, USA
Nick, relax! We don’t need a project every week. But the project came out quite pretty. Your disasters are as nice as other people’s “successful” items.
Nick, brother, as someone who’s projects regularly go sideways, I feel for you. But thank you for posting the imperfections, it’s good to know even the pros have bad days. And thank you for the content. Good, bad, or wild, we’re all just glad to see you posting. Cheers!
No stress on how long it takes to put a video up! ❤ heck, if your project isn't finished in time you could always post a bloopers real or a failed project. Honestly i could watch a video of you just sitting in a chair for 20 minutes! 😂❤
Big hugs Nick, don't let issues get you down, we are here for you, please waffle on, we love you
I THOUGHT that was Back to the Future on the TV. As always, I appreciate you sharing your happy accidents alongside your successes. It's truly inspiring.
It really did come out quite nice even with the bad luck you have been having. I kinda want to see what the first one might look like if you are able to turn it. I am really curious to see. Keep the good things coming and hopefully the next project you will have absolute good luck with. 👍👍👍
The color makes me crave tomato soup.
The gold handle looks fantastic. The bowl is beautiful.
It looks gorgeous Nick! You are so much more relatable with mistakes included.
Also, I’d love to see if you could open up the thermal reaction one.
Nick, Put out the videos when you can and don't stress over it too much. We love you work. The fact that you show your struggles makes you more relatable than some of the creators who always seem to do things perfectly every time.
As you move this around with the top on it looks a bit like a pumpkin with the color mix or without the top it looks a bit like a tiger when you see more of the pinecone bit. Its a great piece. I think it would be cool to see the other one if you cut off the bad bit and set the good part inside some slow poor if thats even possible . Also, never stop waffling on!! It's what makes you you!!!
The color is giving tropical sorbet ❤
Love your work no matter how it turns out. Shows you are human and make mistakes!
Poor Nick had all the elements working against him on this one! Now I have seen the pine cones dipped in resin where the cone itself is a decoration piece, but to turn one into a pot like that is a high-risk high-reward project! I think you would have been better off using clear with red and gold flake or glitter to avoid the orangey colored resin. GG Nick and keep up the good work!
Considering the problems you’ve had with this project I’ve got to say wow it ‘turned’ out great, I love it !
I am really surprised how good this turned out. I didn’t care for the colors you mixed for this but WOW, it worked!
Nick, absolutely jubbily crazy! Thank you for showing us the good, the bad and the crazy!!
Hi Nick your project turned out really well even with the mishaps ❤ it keep waffling on its what makes you, you !…👍🏼😊
Thank you for showing us the mess ups. It makes me feel better when I mess something up. So many UA-camrs only show the perfect projects.
Don’t panic about the projects man, we will still be here 👍🏻
Just put out videos as whatever pace works for you! We love them all. And for sure, PLEASE keep posting the "fails". They are great to learn from and helps crafters like me remember that everyone makes mistakes, even the great Nick Zammeti!! Thank you for all you do!
No one turns a disaster into a win like you mate! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Best comment! Hahaha
Life's an experiment Nick, don't worry about your mistakes! We love you all the same! ❤
Pot looks great. You dealt with the issues and learnt, that’s what life is about. The biggest thing is that you got back on the horse, you didn’t chuck it in and stop trying. Good on ya! Stay safe
It turned out beautifully. I love that you show the mistakes and the way you solve them. Keep up the comedy and the content. Can't wait to see what you come up with next. :)
Lovely little bowl. Well saved. Please do something with the first pinecone. It's not a failure, it's a unique design element.
The gold handle complements the piece perfectly ❤
Nick I love this channel because its real, you see it all, the successes and the failures.
It's a great fun, informative and entertaining channel.
Don't ever change dude.
Hey! I love your videos. You are just amazing! You always make great stuff and make us laugh!
Don't put so much pressure on yourself to always release videos on time. We'll still be here when you do post ❤
LOVING the look of this project! That pinecone pattern is amazing as it peeks out!
I really love how this came out. I think it looks really nice with the gold handle. Also I think it would've been pretty to have embraced the break and fix it by using Kintsukuroi which is a Japanese method of fixing broken pottery with gold in the cracks.
Beautiful Nick it looks like a really unique marble I love it ❤
Thank you for showing us the fails as well as the wins. It keeps it real and helps us knowing even you have “learning lessons”.
Nick it doesn't matter what you put out just truly enjoy seeing YOU, because you are so entertaining!
Hi Nick! The beautiful colors you used made me think of the kintsugi technique, dusted with powdered gold, silver, or platinum to repair the break or Crack. Even misadventures turn into beauty.
Thank you for sharing your adventures with us.
I like it that you show the good, the bad & the ugly of woodturning 😊 Glad your back Nic
Good luck on your auction! Hope you will let us know how it goes!!!!
If you made a bigger jar with a big pine one, an idea for a lid handle! A very very small pine cone in a jewel shape of some kind all clear resin.
Thanks for all you do!
Really enjoy seeing the random things people send you and what you do with them.
Stop being so hard on yourself!
We love the fails just as much as those that work ... It's all part of being Human!
I always look forward to seeing what idea you come up with.
You have talent, you have style, believe in yourself! We do!
Much love from Queensland, Australia 💜
I appreciate you battling through the mistakes in the studio. I teach high school students and they have the hardest time learning and battling through any hiccups in the studio. Thanks for being an example.
We're chuffed you did it too! And don't worry about how often you post. We're all here patiently waiting for your next! And we're always happy when you post WHENEVER you post. ❤❤❤
I really love the way the bowl/pot turned out against all the odds. I would love to see the other one turned up still 🙂, love your content ❤️
Having a shambles havent watched you vids in a while but now i can binge watch
Happy days xx
Love the color. Good save! ❤❤❤❤
It was hey.... happy lil accidents 😂
Nick, you are hilarious😂🤣 no matter what obstacles you encounter you always manage to save the day. Loved the pine cone bowl. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼A huge fan in the USA.
You make me feel so much better about how so many things go for me. I’m all for looking at the beauty in things when it’s broken. Just keep keeping on shake it off laugh and repeat 😂. Very cool piece love it 😍
Looks cool. Appreciate how you keep going and don't shy away from showing the mistakes and even show how you fix them. Makes things more relatable than those that edit out all their mistakes and pretend to be perfect every time.
Nick, you do exceptional work, and I enjoy every minute of it. Keep doing what you're doing, but a bit of advice. My old professor used to say: "a hurried man eats raw food". Words I live by and something you should strive to too. Again great video.
Love the shape of this jar, very different from previous work so it’s fun! Have to admit I think green/yellow/darker orange may have suited the pine cone better but it’s certainly unique! Thanks for sharing your art with us Nick!
We come for the waffling and stay for the awesome projects. Keep it up, Nick. Cheers!
In the end it turned out pretty funky. I like it
Nick, I always love your videos. No matter how often you post them or not. It's always great to see you doing what makes you smile. Your projects have gotten me through some tough times, but I can say that no matter what, I always was smiling watching your adventures of creation. You remind me that no matter what is going on, you keep going forward. 💗
I Watch because of your fantastic personality! You could clean your dishes and I’d watch you. You are loved.
Love it! It reminds me of an apple. Very christmassy vibes.
It turned out soo cute! Also, a fail is a First Attempt In Learning, as HairBuddah usually sais. Also I love a new Nick-Video in the morning! 😊❤
I love it! The Japanese would have used gold to fill the crack...being broken only adds to the creative beauty. The repair makes it more unique. Thank you for sticking with it and creating with what you have.
Oh my that looks like something from the deep 😮
Nick we learn from your mistakes so don't be down on yourself ❤
It's all good 👍
another great video nick. i think people enjoy seeing the failures between the successes. shows you're human. and great save on the bowl after the fall too
You're such a good wood turner that anytime you need a quick video just nock up a quick cup or pot and that is good to watch
I love the gold know! It goes well with the yellow color.
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉Brilliant just Brilliant
I think it looks adorable, with the pinecone, colors you choose and the know it reminds me of a cute little pumpkin...love it
I never expected it to turn out so pretty. It looks like a rose.
Finally a pot with a lid that looks like it actually fits,.... almost. I would have gone with clear epoxy with glitter personally, maybe actually see the pinecone, lol.
I wonder why the first pour turned into expanding foam? Don’t worry, Nick! We love your videos, no matter how long it takes to post!!!
Awesome job!!! ❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
It's a real little cutie. I'm glad you managed to save it.
I actually like this project a lot. I love the color, and the texture of the pine cone. The crack doesn't bother me.
“Smashing pumpkins” lookin’ good nick very appropriate for this time of year
That is so beautiful! What a creative way to use a pinecone. 😊
Adore all your projects. Even when you take a break, I’ll watch all you do honey. Take care my lovely xxx
Two things: First, gold mica in the repair glue would have both matched and embraced the repair. Second - turning the second one and filling the bubbles with more resin would likely also look cool.
Wow I’ve never seen a pine cone that big! Very awesome! Love the upload Nick! I’ll be here for the next and the next and the next and so on bud!
I like it. It's super unique. I gasped when you showed it flying off!! Glad you saved it!!!!
Try your first pour anyway. It may have an interesting turn out, you never know! Clear or see through resin would be cool on the next one. I love pine cones.
Great save, Nick! Turned out gorgeous!
that was quite the trial. one thing i love about your videos is you keep in the accidents and make it work. you are a true talent!
That is a beautiful piece. It really came out nice. That would be so pretty in white or purple {my favorite color}. Thanks for another great video. 💜
I am pretty fond of your waffling lol I ramble too so it is nice to see others who also like to talk 😁
i sometimes go...nick...what are you doing? then i love the piece at the end. i'd like to see you turn the first disaster.
I really like it it looks like an autumn pumpkin jar
Wow Nick that's Beautiful I absolutely love it 😍❤
Absolutely love the piece, even with the crack. Damaged and saved pieces have a certain charm to them, is why Kintsugi is an artform itself!
And i love the finial on this one! I agree that it compliments it!
So cute! It turned out beautifully. Thank you Nick. ❤
Don't worry about haters Nick, It actually looks very cool
Thanks for another Nick Zammeti Original® 😆 I always enjoy watching your projects and your waffle-ing. No matter the outcome. Creativity can't be rushed, planned or managed. Take your time. One month you'll do one thing, te other month you'll do several. Keep it up!
This was such a great make. Looking at it you may not know it was a pinecone. What a great conversation piece
Would have loved to have seen you attempt to turn the first one, too! I absolutely love your projects and waffling!! Don't change, I have seen you make beautiful pieces out of your choatic ones - love them!! Keep on keeping on and we (your fans) will keep watching!!
Due to my obsessive fascination with your work, I have started my own resin journey!!!!
You are so much fun Nick! The color is great. There was a women's cologne that came in a container the same color as your pot. I think the name of it was "Opium" by Yves Saint Laurent here in the states. Keep on keeping my friend. You're awesome, in my opinion!
As always your video is extremely entertaining!! Take all the time you need to make your videos... we will all be here when you are ready!! I really love watching everything you do!!
I needed some waffling today. Thanks Nick for brightening my day. Disasters can be fun to watch as well.
As always brother, I enjoy seeing whatever you bring to us with you creative mine, whenever you can bring it. I have been in the same boat with issues happening one after the other. My hats off to you for staying the course and getting it done. If you do another pinecone do one in green and make a big dragon egg. I know it has been done many times over, but I would love to see your dragon egg as well.
