Yep. The issue is that blind tests are not "quality test". So yeah, if you have to choose something for your taste, go with blind tests (for example how good some speaker sounds or how good the TV will look or how one product feel in your hand), but if you have to choose the best to *work* with, choose on "real" tests.
But they aren’t. Comparing these sets in the most stripped down viewing mode possible is like watching a drags race leaving the cars in first gear. These reviews are very very well done but speak nothing really to everyone day watching and dialing in each set for each one to showcase individual strengths.
@Trio LOL Gamers pretty pointless comparing tv in such diffrent prices as these are the Sony a95k here cost 4499 euros the LG g2 is 3599 euros Panasonic lz2000 is 2799 euros lg c2 is 2990 euros. All these are 65 inches btw. That's what I'm looking for myself and I'm leaning into the LG g2
One more here! If I weren't a gamer I'd already switched from LG to Sony/Pana. So eager to find out how next year's QD OLEDs are going to turn out. Not in a rush to get a new one (G1 is pretty good), but it does make you want one :)
Love to see Panasonic still killing it. Back in the mid 2000's Panasonic plasma screens were some of the best only beaten by the legendary Pioneer Kuro.
I am still using my Kuro Elite as my primary TV. It looks as good as anything these days for most live TV. Maybe a 4K movie wouldn’t look as good. But 99% of what I watch looks great still.
@@tedshep Damn man. I wish I still had mine but I sold it like 10 years ago. I still have a G10 though but the more run time they get the worse the black levels got and it has a lot of hours on it being so old now.

Wow never seen a reviewer to go to such a level, to test TVs. Really great work 👍 Also the idea is quite great, as real time viewing only defines the actual performance of TVs, that too with eye of expert in their field.

Evaluating these factors provides us with a very beneficial perspective that can help us make the best purchasing decision to suit our particular needs.
Great video. My only complaint for this type of scientific study is using all professionals that work at the same company. It's quite possible that since they all work together on content, they have shared values in terms of ideal color preferences and what to look for in display outcomes. That doesn't mean they are wrong, but there could be extraneous variables common to all of them that skew the results. It would be more interesting to see if different professionals from different media and broadcast companies providing their feedback. Different workplace cultures could create more varied preferences and yield more comprehensive results.
I was buying two tvs back in 2011, and did exactly the same thing. A colleague and I, each with 30-odd years post experience stood in a retailers lounge and ran material across about ten displays. One result was sort of expected- a Panasonic LCD, but the second was a late entry - pulled out of the storeroom as ‘the last one’… As soon as it was fired up - we both literally raised our arms and said ‘that one’ to the TCL 40” (a decent size at the time). It was also the cheapest. I was only looking for medium sized screens, but brightness, sharpness, contrast, artefacts etc, all shone through. The Pana is still running in my bedroom, the TCL lasted about 8 years before dying.
I still have the 900E ..gaming is great as well as movies and streaming ..ordered an LG that arrives today ..but doubt will match the quality of my sony.
@@Soclean07 Really. I guess if you want the best, you’ll have to pay an extra $1,000 for half the HDMI 2.1 ports and half the gaming features compared to LG. Dolby Vision doesn’t work in Game Mode, and VRR is still broken as shit on Sony, and you don’t get ANY of the gaming features if you aren’t using a PS5, so for “pay for what you get” you seem to getting a lot less than what you pay for.
This is the yearly TV highlight for me great job! For next year it would be great to see all scores instead of just the top two spots just to know how much the difference between these TVs is because all of them are top of the line and you can't really go wrong.
I lucked out recently and grabbed a Samsung S95B for what I feel is a great price. Basically 95% of the features and performance of the Sony A95K for less than half the price ($1699 CDN vs $3499 CDN). The Sony would be great, but not at twice the price for the same size screen.
Two-minute Teoh knocking it out of the park once again. I came into it expecting the LG to walk away with this, but instead found I needed to update my "casual observer" knowledge of the space. Love it when that happens!
Yep unquestionably for the movie\cinema experience but the gaming features are still getting there. Most people buy a Sony for media though so that's fine
Looking forward to a Game Mode comparison in the future. TVs all turn off different processing features while in Game Mode, and it would be a great comparison to see which looked the best in that case. I don't think you should recalibrate the TVs when in Game Mode. Almost everybody calibrates TVs outside of Game Mode, and then assumes the color/contrast settings should still be correct when they turn Game Mode on, that should be the scenario you test.
I appreciate the way the test was done, but the fact that you can't get 77" tvs from some of the choices makes this pointless for people who aren't buying smaller tvs. But I always love your videos and I appreciate what you do for this community.

Guy is an absolute weasel who only sucks in people new to the TV scene who fall for the "I'm the honest TV crusader" thankfully that's like 1 in 10000 people who don't see through his BS.
Great test for the panels and screen functionality. But a HUGE part of the TV experience when you actually use one, is the usability&responsiveness of the menus and settings, which you didn't cover at all. So often the menus are laggy and unintuitive or just outright confusing, making for example 'channel surfing' when you check what's on at different channels annoying, when you have to wait for the TV to update the various channel informations.
This is basically a High-End 16K superHDR with Triple-Layer-AI-enhanced ultraDolbyVision video @800FPS... content wise. Thanks alot Vinny... for always being on the side of the consumer, helping us with information we would never have access to otherwise because of your knowledge and equipment, guiding our purchase decisions while helping us avoiding 100% of TV brand marketing trying to sway us.

The Panasonic is the most accurate if you primarily watch movies then thats the winner thanks to QD-OLED being in its infancy stage of manufacturing for consumer televisions and not properly tailored or mature enough to get the best out of the technology at this stage of the panel maybe in a few years it'll be a worthy panel Technology with a base of failure rate or expected life of the panels as SAMSUNG said it would post burn in/failure hours of use but didn't release it before the release of the TV and as far as I can find has not yet post the test results that they promised.

It's early on compared to the generation of WRGB OLED Panels and even more so the production of LG Displays and LG Chem manufacturing that I don't think going forward it might not get enough years of sales before wider adoption of Micro LED or Another Improvement from LGs current process to make sales fall flat for Samsung on the OLED front. For me to tell someone to buy a new panel Technology without a warning of unexpected life of panel or premature failure considering Samsung has not even reported the average life from a test they said they had started to conducted at CES makes me wonder how long of a warranty should you advise someone to buy.

LG is making efforts to make its panels brighter, but it’s fully aware of the fact that brighter panels don’t equal color luminance of QD OLED. There’s a reason why Sony of all brands immediately chose to adopt this technology. Micro LED is still far too expensive to manufacture to be anywhere near available for the average consumer. When that changed I’ll be the first to buy one
I would LOVE it in the future if you added a shootout with a gaming studio being the judge (if it’s possible). Imagine having Naughty Dog or Rockstar compare TVs, knowing exactly how they intended their game to look.
Very good video. I'm leaning towards buying a Panasonic mz2000 this year because of color accuracy and supreme sound quality. Sony A95K is 500 dollars cheaper than the lz2000 right now and would also be a good choice. But I would like the best cinema tv, so I would have to go with Panasonic.
The only thing that sucks about the Panasonic OLEDs is their availability. The US Market is dominated by LG, Sony, and Samsung. I would love to how things would play out if Panasonic still had a presence in the US.
Only tvs I used to buy. They didn’t keep up after plasmas died. Couldn’t keep up so they died. That’s what happens. They can come back if they build a good product at a good price.
I think you can get a Panasonic OLED from Value Electronics in Scarsdale, NY, or at least you used to be able to at some point in the last year. The owner has been on Stop the Fomo's channel a few times. But yeah, I wouldn't call this a presence at all, unfortunately.
Because Panasonic for some reason, REFUSED to sell their OLED's for US market. Plain & simple. I imagine it's because the avg. american only cares about price. Dolby Vision, check, 4k HDR, check, full-audio pass-thru, check,...
Well Sharp is getting back in the game so maybe Panasonic will too. More competition is a good thing although at the moment I'm very happy with having Sony. As long as have either Sony or Panasonic as a choice I know I'm good. Those 2 companies are the bar for picture quality.
Got an A95K coming next week. Only a 55” due to the high price of the 65”. For me it was a toss up between that and the Panasonic LZ2000, I just managed to get a good deal on the Sony and wanted to try QD Oled technology. I could have got a 65” S95b for less though, I’ve just had bad experiences with Samsung in the past!
I would love to see an unedited version of the guys of Fulwell73 talking about the A/B/C/D TV and stuff... like why they scored X Tv with each score, so we could make an idea of what they were looking at and then at the end get the reveal of what TV was each letter.
I think it's more about profit margin. Sony has to pay LG or Samsung for their panels and Google for their Operating System. Plus, like Apple they choose to have a higher profit margin.
No one in their right mind is going to buy one when Samsung is selling the 65inch S95B for 2,000. The improvements are nowhere near significant enough to justify the price difference.
@@jayroman3384 As soon as you get a bent panel and experience burn-in after 4 months, then you'd realize how much of a waste the S95B is for $2000 and only lasted for less than a year. With the Sony, you are buying it with the decision to keep it for years, for as long as it is working. If you plan to change TVs every after 3 to 5 years anyway, then you'd possibly have earned more than twice the cost of any of these two, so why hesitate for less when you can go all-out with the more reliable one instead? Anyway that's just my take.
I wish you would show the score of all the tvs tested instead of only the top 2. So we have better understanding of how the others stacked up and can make better informed decisions.
Thanks for telling us about Zeskit HDMI 2.1 Cables. Your channel always helps us make a good purchase decision. It is my humble request to please consider making more videos on using TV AS MONITORS like which TV can be used as monitors. Nowadays many 42-50 inch TVs are getting affordable and competing directly with monitors. But they have their own issues - OLED burn-in (which becomes more prevalent in PC usage), HDR support (very bad in PC), Power Consumption, Standby Mode, etc. Some TVs are available which tackle these issues but they don't offer a 42-48 inch variant. Some monitors such as Acer Predator Cg437K and GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U are available but they are no match with the TVs available in their price range. Having a 42-48 inch TV/Monitor with all of these features will be awesome. It will connect with both PC and Playstation/Xbox. It will also save a lot of money and be good for the environment. And thanks again.

QuantumTV will call you out, Vincent, telling us how the out-of-box-never-connected-to-Internet S95B tops all categories, for it's massive Brightness and Color pop, while the rest of the world doesn't stuck on to a unstable Firmware condition that may cause Burn-in and other damages to the panel long term. Such an important video each year this, and massive thanks for putting it together but like last year we're not getting to see a full set of scores thru the 7 rounds, or the final table. I haven't understood why, there is a ton of insight to be gleaned from those data from an individual viewer's perspective.

How does it perform in a bright room? I have the ks8000 and i want to upgrade it to the s95b or qn95B ..but i'm not sure if the qd oled is bright enough and also if the abl will not be to distractful when playing games. Any advice is very welcome.
Also had KS8500 and now have S95B. It’s great but A90J is better, other than brightness. And sometimes A90J is brighter, weird thing, showing same source.

Excellent review. However, comparing in filmmaker mode and the TVs ability to render colors on par with reference monitor is far from answering the question “which tv is better for home viewing”. Filmmaker mode is so horrible. Rarely anyone watches in that mode. These reviews need to start taking into consideration why 99.9 percent of us buy TVs. I am a purist, but I still like my TVs brighter and slightly juiced up with color. Not full and half monotone.

@@timq9425 I own the a90J and lz2000 and both TVs in filmmaker mode are more than bright enough in hdr and sdr. Again, this channel is mainly directed at enthusiasts who care about creator intent and seeing the picture as it was meant to be seen. You don’t have to have the same preference, but you are wrong to complain about the channel when you are clearly not the target audience
I tried replying earlier but for some reason cannot locate my comments. I agree, most people do not watch Tv in the dark filmmaker mode with muted colors and brightness. That’s why each tv has different settings and processors to yield better pictures. I would like to see more real world comparison showcasing what the TVs can actually do in their best settings.

Ever since the S95B peak luminance nerf I just use it as a tv that plays homeward bound on repeat for my cat, sometimes I like to drop kick it whilst walking past also.

This years version to this test will be interesting. Looking forward to see the outcome of the MZ2000 the G3 the S95C and the A95L (I think that's what it'll be called anyway) I want to see new MLA technology in the G3 and LZ2000 go head to head with S95C and A95L. I'll most likely be buying the best one from those four. A priority to me is sound. I hate having to put the volume up because I can't hear them when they are talking in a low volume only to lower the volume when loud scenes occur. Being able to hear them speak clearly without subtitles is something I need in a TV without having to buy a sound bar or surround sound speakers. Picture quality is also something that has to be colour accurate but I think all four will be very good this year but maybe the MZ2000 will be the best. A QD OLED version of Panasonic would kill it
All flat-panel displays have crappy sound, because there's little room to work with. If you want good sound get at least a Nakamichi sound bar off Amazon. But if you still insist on using only the TV speakers then get Sony's flagship display.

At them moment I'm most interested in the LG C2. I need a OLED tv that's available in a smaller size and is good for gaming. The C2 ticks all those boxes.
Great and trusted content as normal. This shows how closely match TVs are at this end of the market, and it's down to personal preference and use case.
Wow...what a great video! Although I was pulling for the LG G2 because I have one...it was nice to see how the other tv preformed in each category. I currently went with the G2 because LG is the only manufacturer that currently makes an 83" - hopefully Sony will come out with the larger screen in the future... Once again EXCELLENT VIDEO!
@@Matty_UK true I'm a LG guy due to good experiences over the years and still being happy enough with the LG WOLED image and gaming experience. If I was to ever change Panasonic would be on the top of my list with the Sony being a maybe and the Samsung being a never lol
I love this. it really is the best way to test. blind and with reference. Sony is rocking it. I love my A80J and I know the A95K is way better so I can imagine the picture is phenomenal calibrated.
It's better but wonder if it's way better. Also look on how well the Panasonic did. And the A80J was not that far behind the A90J it was mostly brightness difference. The A95K will also have different colors (more Saturation and a bit brighter)
I've got an A80J and what is really noticeable is when you go to a friend's house and wonder why their LCD TV looks so washed out. You really do appreciate it when you go back to watching "worse" TV's.
Just bought the S95B last week. Already made glowing comments below about the tv. However now less than 10 days of ownership and it has a vertical line near the center that is glowing light green from top to bottom. The only time you don’t see it is when the tv is black. All non black scenes it’s clearly visible. No damage on the tv and this didn’t appear until today 10 days after purchase. I’m actually pretty shocked and will be returning the tv. Now I’m wondering about the S95B. I’m a big Samsung fan but I must say I might switch to another panel. Very disappointed.

Samsung I was a big fan in the early 2010s and then they completely fucked me over twice and I'll never touch them again. Not to mention the pink tinge on the s95b which I can't unsee.
I am glad I bought the right TV! Sony A95K that came with many free gifts during promotional period - free gifts are WF-1000xM3, WLA-NS7, 3 metres HDMI 2.1 cable and additional 2 years warranty (Sony only provide 3 years) from the shop I went to. Oh, I am based in Singapore.

Ya LG were so far ahead in 2019 and 2020 but Panasonic has done great since then

For the overall score I think it’s evident the S95B finished 3rd and the G2 finished 4th. Considering price the big winner for me is the Samsung.

Just bought a A95K for £2600 and I’m so excited to try it out in a few days.
Great video. My only complaint for this type of scientific study is using all professionals that work at the same company. It's quite possible that since they all work together on content, they have shared values in terms of ideal color preferences and what to look for in display outcomes. That doesn't mean they are wrong, but there could be extraneous variables common to all of them that skew the results.
It would be more interesting to see if different professionals from different media and broadcast companies providing their feedback. Different workplace cultures could create more varied preferences and yield more comprehensive results.
I was buying two tvs back in 2011, and did exactly the same thing.
A colleague and I, each with 30-odd years post experience stood in a retailers lounge and ran material across about ten displays.
One result was sort of expected- a Panasonic LCD, but the second was a late entry - pulled out of the storeroom as ‘the last one’…
As soon as it was fired up - we both literally raised our arms and said ‘that one’ to the TCL 40” (a decent size at the time). It was also the cheapest.
I was only looking for medium sized screens, but brightness, sharpness, contrast, artefacts etc, all shone through.
The Pana is still running in my bedroom, the TCL lasted about 8 years before dying.

@@Soclean07 Really. I guess if you want the best, you’ll have to pay an extra $1,000 for half the HDMI 2.1 ports and half the gaming features compared to LG. Dolby Vision doesn’t work in Game Mode, and VRR is still broken as shit on Sony, and you don’t get ANY of the gaming features if you aren’t using a PS5, so for “pay for what you get” you seem to getting a lot less than what you pay for.
This is the yearly TV highlight for me great job! For next year it would be great to see all scores instead of just the top two spots just to know how much the difference between these TVs is because all of them are top of the line and you can't really go wrong.

I lucked out recently and grabbed a Samsung S95B for what I feel is a great price. Basically 95% of the features and performance of the Sony A95K for less than half the price ($1699 CDN vs $3499 CDN). The Sony would be great, but not at twice the price for the same size screen.
Two-minute Teoh knocking it out of the park once again. I came into it expecting the LG to walk away with this, but instead found I needed to update my "casual observer" knowledge of the space. Love it when that happens!

Looking forward to a Game Mode comparison in the future. TVs all turn off different processing features while in Game Mode, and it would be a great comparison to see which looked the best in that case.
I don't think you should recalibrate the TVs when in Game Mode. Almost everybody calibrates TVs outside of Game Mode, and then assumes the color/contrast settings should still be correct when they turn Game Mode on, that should be the scenario you test.
I appreciate the way the test was done, but the fact that you can't get 77" tvs from some of the choices makes this pointless for people who aren't buying smaller tvs. But I always love your videos and I appreciate what you do for this community.
Next year in a couple months, you will be able to get a 77 inch sony QD Oled.

Great test for the panels and screen functionality.
But a HUGE part of the TV experience when you actually use one, is the usability&responsiveness of the menus and settings, which you didn't cover at all.
So often the menus are laggy and unintuitive or just outright confusing, making for example 'channel surfing' when you check what's on at different channels annoying, when you have to wait for the TV to update the various channel informations.
This is all about image quality

The Panasonic is the most accurate if you primarily watch movies then thats the winner thanks to QD-OLED being in its infancy stage of manufacturing for consumer televisions and not properly tailored or mature enough to get the best out of the technology at this stage of the panel maybe in a few years it'll be a worthy panel Technology with a base of failure rate or expected life of the panels as SAMSUNG said it would post burn in/failure hours of use but didn't release it before the release of the TV and as far as I can find has not yet post the test results that they promised.

It's early on compared to the generation of WRGB OLED Panels and even more so the production of LG Displays and LG Chem manufacturing that I don't think going forward it might not get enough years of sales before wider adoption of Micro LED or Another Improvement from LGs current process to make sales fall flat for Samsung on the OLED front. For me to tell someone to buy a new panel Technology without a warning of unexpected life of panel or premature failure considering Samsung has not even reported the average life from a test they said they had started to conducted at CES makes me wonder how long of a warranty should you advise someone to buy.
Im a panasonic oled owmer myself so trust me i value colour accuracy and dark room viewing. Having said that the sony is clearly the best all rounder.

LG is making efforts to make its panels brighter, but it’s fully aware of the fact that brighter panels don’t equal color luminance of QD OLED. There’s a reason why Sony of all brands immediately chose to adopt this technology. Micro LED is still far too expensive to manufacture to be anywhere near available for the average consumer. When that changed I’ll be the first to buy one
I would LOVE it in the future if you added a shootout with a gaming studio being the judge (if it’s possible). Imagine having Naughty Dog or Rockstar compare TVs, knowing exactly how they intended their game to look.
Game modes on the tv's with processing turned off shows the games how they're intended to look.

Very good video. I'm leaning towards buying a Panasonic mz2000 this year because of color accuracy and supreme sound quality. Sony A95K is 500 dollars cheaper than the lz2000 right now and would also be a good choice. But I would like the best cinema tv, so I would have to go with Panasonic.
The only thing that sucks about the Panasonic OLEDs is their availability. The US Market is dominated by LG, Sony, and Samsung. I would love to how things would play out if Panasonic still had a presence in the US.
Only tvs I used to buy. They didn’t keep up after plasmas died. Couldn’t keep up so they died. That’s what happens. They can come back if they build a good product at a good price.
I think you can get a Panasonic OLED from Value Electronics in Scarsdale, NY, or at least you used to be able to at some point in the last year. The owner has been on Stop the Fomo's channel a few times. But yeah, I wouldn't call this a presence at all, unfortunately.
Because Panasonic for some reason, REFUSED to sell their OLED's for US market. Plain & simple. I imagine it's because the avg. american only cares about price. Dolby Vision, check, 4k HDR, check, full-audio pass-thru, check,...
Well Sharp is getting back in the game so maybe Panasonic will too. More competition is a good thing although at the moment I'm very happy with having Sony. As long as have either Sony or Panasonic as a choice I know I'm good. Those 2 companies are the bar for picture quality.

Got an A95K coming next week. Only a 55” due to the high price of the 65”. For me it was a toss up between that and the Panasonic LZ2000, I just managed to get a good deal on the Sony and wanted to try QD Oled technology. I could have got a 65” S95b for less though, I’ve just had bad experiences with Samsung in the past!

I think it's more about profit margin.
Sony has to pay LG or Samsung for their panels and Google for their Operating System.
Plus, like Apple they choose to have a higher profit margin.
No one in their right mind is going to buy one when Samsung is selling the 65inch S95B for 2,000. The improvements are nowhere near significant enough to justify the price difference.
@@jayroman3384 As soon as you get a bent panel and experience burn-in after 4 months, then you'd realize how much of a waste the S95B is for $2000 and only lasted for less than a year. With the Sony, you are buying it with the decision to keep it for years, for as long as it is working. If you plan to change TVs every after 3 to 5 years anyway, then you'd possibly have earned more than twice the cost of any of these two, so why hesitate for less when you can go all-out with the more reliable one instead? Anyway that's just my take.

Thanks for telling us about Zeskit HDMI 2.1 Cables. Your channel always helps us make a good purchase decision. It is my humble request to please consider making more videos on using TV AS MONITORS like which TV can be used as monitors. Nowadays many 42-50 inch TVs are getting affordable and competing directly with monitors. But they have their own issues - OLED burn-in (which becomes more prevalent in PC usage), HDR support (very bad in PC), Power Consumption, Standby Mode, etc. Some TVs are available which tackle these issues but they don't offer a 42-48 inch variant. Some monitors such as Acer Predator Cg437K and GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U are available but they are no match with the TVs available in their price range. Having a 42-48 inch TV/Monitor with all of these features will be awesome. It will connect with both PC and Playstation/Xbox. It will also save a lot of money and be good for the environment. And thanks again.

Such an important video each year this, and massive thanks for putting it together but like last year we're not getting to see a full set of scores thru the 7 rounds, or the final table. I haven't understood why, there is a ton of insight to be gleaned from those data from an individual viewer's perspective.

Exactly the same TV I upgraded from also! Got the KS8000 in 2016 and loved it and now the S95b is incredible!
How does it perform in a bright room? I have the ks8000 and i want to upgrade it to the s95b or qn95B ..but i'm not sure if the qd oled is bright enough and also if the abl will not be to distractful when playing games. Any advice is very welcome.
Also had KS8500 and now have S95B. It’s great but A90J is better, other than brightness.
And sometimes A90J is brighter, weird thing, showing same source.

Excellent review. However, comparing in filmmaker mode and the TVs ability to render colors on par with reference monitor is far from answering the question “which tv is better for home viewing”. Filmmaker mode is so horrible. Rarely anyone watches in that mode. These reviews need to start taking into consideration why 99.9 percent of us buy TVs. I am a purist, but I still like my TVs brighter and slightly juiced up with color. Not full and half monotone.
This channel is literally for enthusiasts. If you watch your tv in oversaturated modes, this channel and review isn’t for you in the first place

Again, this channel is mainly directed at enthusiasts who care about creator intent and seeing the picture as it was meant to be seen.

I tried replying earlier but for some reason cannot locate my comments. I agree, most people do not watch Tv in the dark filmmaker mode with muted colors and brightness. That’s why each tv has different settings and processors to yield better pictures. I would like to see more real world comparison showcasing what the TVs can actually do in their best settings.

Ever since the S95B peak luminance nerf I just use it as a tv that plays homeward bound on repeat for my cat, sometimes I like to drop kick it whilst walking past also.

This years version to this test will be interesting. Looking forward to see the outcome of the MZ2000 the G3 the S95C and the A95L (I think that's what it'll be called anyway) I want to see new MLA technology in the G3 and LZ2000 go head to head with S95C and A95L. I'll most likely be buying the best one from those four. A priority to me is sound. I hate having to put the volume up because I can't hear them when they are talking in a low volume only to lower the volume when loud scenes occur. Being able to hear them speak clearly without subtitles is something I need in a TV without having to buy a sound bar or surround sound speakers. Picture quality is also something that has to be colour accurate but I think all four will be very good this year but maybe the MZ2000 will be the best. A QD OLED version of Panasonic would kill it
All flat-panel displays have crappy sound, because there's little room to work with. If you want good sound get at least a Nakamichi sound bar off Amazon. But if you still insist on using only the TV speakers then get Sony's flagship display.

At them moment I'm most interested in the LG C2. I need a OLED tv that's available in a smaller size and is good for gaming. The C2 ticks all those boxes.

Great and trusted content as normal. This shows how closely match TVs are at this end of the market, and it's down to personal preference and use case.
Wow...what a great video! Although I was pulling for the LG G2 because I have one...it was nice to see how the other tv preformed in each category. I currently went with the G2 because LG is the only manufacturer that currently makes an 83" - hopefully Sony will come out with the larger screen in the future... Once again EXCELLENT VIDEO!

@@Matty_UK true I'm a LG guy due to good experiences over the years and still being happy enough with the LG WOLED image and gaming experience. If I was to ever change Panasonic would be on the top of my list with the Sony being a maybe and the Samsung being a never lol

I love this. it really is the best way to test. blind and with reference. Sony is rocking it. I love my A80J and I know the A95K is way better so I can imagine the picture is phenomenal calibrated.
It's better but wonder if it's way better. Also look on how well the Panasonic did. And the A80J was not that far behind the A90J it was mostly brightness difference.
The A95K will also have different colors (more Saturation and a bit brighter)
Lmao, definitely not "way" better, slightly better, yes... Side by side, both calibrated, only a mild advantage towards the A95K...

I've got an A80J and what is really noticeable is when you go to a friend's house and wonder why their LCD TV looks so washed out. You really do appreciate it when you go back to watching "worse" TV's.
Would be funny if you did a literal "blind test" of the TVs.

Really wish Panasonic came back to the US. They were my favorite from the CRT days up until the end of the Plasma era.
Just bought the S95B last week. Already made glowing comments below about the tv. However now less than 10 days of ownership and it has a vertical line near the center that is glowing light green from top to bottom. The only time you don’t see it is when the tv is black. All non black scenes it’s clearly visible. No damage on the tv and this didn’t appear until today 10 days after purchase. I’m actually pretty shocked and will be returning the tv. Now I’m wondering about the S95B. I’m a big Samsung fan but I must say I might switch to another panel. Very disappointed.

@@smokingbarrels7019 honestly to me it's just Samsung and it's why I stick with LG even if their panels have fallen behind in cinema movie quality as LG has always done me right. Samsung I was a big fan in the early 2010s and then they completely fucked me over twice and I'll never touch them again. Not to mention the pink tinge on the s95b which I can't unsee.
I am glad I bought the right TV! Sony A95K that came with many free gifts during promotional period - free gifts are WF-1000xM3, WLA-NS7, 3 metres HDMI 2.1 cable and additional 2 years warranty (Sony only provide 3 years) from the shop I went to. Oh, I am based in Singapore.
