That was incredibly helpful. Replacement done in 30min, everything works, no screws left over. 😅 One positive thing towards Mercedes: all screws are the same size and length. Torx 10
Thank you Mr JKL I have removed the complete mirror because it folded in but won't fold out again and I am struggling to dismantle it with two hands, so maybe those who gave this a thumbs down can show a better way. any how now that you have been kind enough to share how it comes apart I think I need to fit this back on the door so it is not moving all over the place as try to take it apart. Does anyone have the part number foe the exact flash. I have the E280 from 2008. The only thing broken was that part and the odd parking warning system which must be an after fit

This is also a way to take the whole thing apart. People are people, you can’t win em all.

Totally different from my W211
The 03-06 came with a different style mirror. This is for the 07-09

What happens when the the little black pin that connects to the light snaps off well the cables come out.

No. Theses are from 07-09, the older versions are actually easier to change only to pull the cap off
