Thanks for the great video. I remove the old pair lights and installed an new pair in less than 1 hour after I watch this video. no need to jack up the car, just turn the tire to left and then right side when remove both bracket for the bumper. Just don't buy after market $212 headlights because I did tried 2 different brands but all bad light beams. So I changed the lens works much better than after market headlights and save almost $190 because I bought the lens when it was on sale pair for $27 from Amazon . It is so easy to remove and install after watch this video. Thank you !
Great video guys.... Ordering new lens and feel confident changing my lenses after watching you guys.
Thank you...! Keep up the great work.
3 years later did the silicon seals hold up?
Good and complete video! New lenses are so much better looking. But dont expect too much improvement of light output after this. The main reason is a burnt inner reflector of the headlight itself. Over the years the fade because of the heat. I have done it all (sanding, polishing, apply new clear coat as well as complete replacement of the cover etc.). The only way to really improve the light output is a completely new headlight. If you have a really nice example of the W211 and you love it: Get a new set of headlights 🙂
Great video! Finally the E55 got the much needed refresh 👍
Thanks for the great video. Just replaced the lenses on my E320. What an improvement. Blinded by the light ...
2004 e320 was it hard also what bulbs you use i want leds but herd they will not work
@@robertehlers4330 , not hard to do. Just takes time to remove the bumper, heat the headlight buckets, etc. I used halogen bulbs. Wanted it to be reliable.
@@jimwest3748 okay i herd the leds are hard to do. I wanted to paint some of the chrome parts black put new lens on. Just dont know about bulbs yet?
@@jimwest3748doing mine right now in oven
Thanks man doing mine right now i am going to paint some of the chrome thanks broski jersey shore boys
Hi! Very instructive video. Is it 170 degrees celsius or fahrenheit? 😅
fahrenheit, they mentioned it below in the comments
just bought mines! :) so excited to get them in the mail ...
Nice job guys
You look like buddies. Stop talking over each other and take time your getting paid for the "time" right 👍🏿
i know you shop at harbor freight based on the li-ion ratchet you used. you can get some hose clamps for like $1, great for things like those washer fluid lines. the pack has a few sizes too
Did you guys really put them in the oven?
Tried to clean the chrome inside the headlight and turned yellow instantly … what should I do now ?
Thanks! great video!
what is the part number or name in order to buy it?
Thank you
Salute to the Conforti Bro's! May I request where did ya'll purchase the replacement lens for your E55 AMG??
170 deg x20 min ✅
eBay!
Did you guy's sanded the lenses from the inside? i'm very curious becose i have a CL55 and we dont get lenses, our only option is buy new headlights 😩
What’s the link to the other video of taking apart the bumper?
You mean 170 degrees Fahrenheid? That's about 80 degrees Celcius.
Keep up the videos 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
Hi guys is the oven temperature 170°c or 170°f ?
I keep some golf tees in my toolbox to plug small hoses
Always place wood under the headlight assembly in the oven so the metal doesnt melt anything. Also, never use a screwdriver to pry it open.
Nice video guys!
I have e320 2004 will process be same ?
When you put the headlights in the oven, did you leave the bulbs installed? Or did you remove them before putting in oven?
Thanks in advance
We left them in
What screwdriver do you need for the inside lenses? There's a small one that wasn't mentioned
I don't remember to be honest
My w211 have some metal clips that hold the covers, opps seen them later.
Oh no , to much work. I'd rather pay to have someone do the labor and cooking
Hi! What is the fuel consumption of this car? :D
Super Video
Hey guys... Od Man w/a Cane here (Leo Magana), did you need to shave the old glue off? Did it get hard on you? I have the w210 and I want to do the same thing.
Leo Magana no the glue got very soft from the oven and we used that with the new silicone to seal the new light back up
Hello guys, do you know which website I could buy a headlamps kit for my 2006 Mercedes Benz E 500 base sedan? Bi-xenon with adaptive leveling features. I tried eBay carparts Amazon but it didn’t fit my vehicle
Not sure because most people get them from eBay
awesome !!
Great
170 degrees celcius?
Denial1984 Fahrenheit
Could these guys speak English???
could yous not be rude
Why did Mercedes make the headlight replacement so complicated!? 😭😭
Kofi Ansah-Brew good question lol
@@theconfortibrothers2827 dang. Guesse im going for a headlight polish instead.
To discourage DIY replacement. Dealers make more money from the workshop than they do from new car sales.
This is NOT a headlight replacement. This IS a headlight lens replacement.
The HEADLIGHT IS AN ASSEMBLY, together with the part they separated from the lens.
Headlight removal is what they show you before the lens removal/replacement and it can be done fairly easy, apart from the part where you also need to remove the bumper, wich is poor engineering, but trust me, it's way simpler than on other cars, especially newer ones.
Lens is about 30 $, headlights are way more expensive.
@@mihaisamaila7646 i just purchased 2 full Brand new Mercedes OEM from the Mercedes parts store and the shine it has as its brand new units is worth the 400+euro x2 rather then a simple fix with plastic. Its a Mercedes, treat it like one 👌
3Hours lmao 7 mins take the bumper off and and 8 mins to take the lights out
