IMPORTANT: Since so many people watch this: It's important that you buy "CANBUS LEDs". Regular ones will not work or flicker! Best is to search for Mercedes W211 specifically.
Great video, it's nice that there are content creators still taking the time to update and refresh W211s. Quick question, is there any reason you went for cool white instead of warm white? Cheers!
I'm glad you liked it. I didn't really pay attention to the looks of the LEDs too much. I suppose some people would prefer a warmer look but for me the ones I have are fine. Now I can finally see something in the car at night (especially in the trunk) haha.
Seems to me that your car has H7 headlights. What happened with my E320cdi pre facelift was that the low beam was just terrible, I practically needed to use a flashlight to drive after dark. Replacing the H7 in the projector headlights with LED's did not help whatsoever. Then I came across an article that pinpointed the problem exactly. The Projection headlight bucket (Hella) was hopelessly corroded and no longer reflective. The only way to bring the car back was to upgrade to HID using a Morimoto projector kit. They have one that fits the MB projector headlight perfectly, but I say it right now, it is not a 5 minute upgrade. You need to remove the headlights (a challenge by itself) taking off the lenses, and they are probably getting dull already so that will call for new lenses anyway, Go and google the upgrades, you will end up with headlights that REALLY are worth the trouble. A lengthy project but replacing all with MB headlights will not be costeffective and not as nice and bright. Just save your money and don't even start throwing led kits at the low beam units. Check youtube for the upgrade process and parts needed its all here.
You're welcome. All I did was enter "W211 LED parking lights" and bought the ones haha. Make sure they are CANBUS though, otherwise you'll run into issues.
У меня 2 вопроса: 1. а разве с LED дампами не выдает ошибку, что lamp defect? 2. и стоит ли такая замена отказа от возможности регулировки яркости освещения в салоне на обычных лампочках??
when you are doing presentation needed to give more information what kind of LED brand are you placing with, I have same car I change almost everything but the headlight run into Errors and cause the modulator malfunction.
My mechanic installed Mirror so fast i couldn’t see exactly but i’ll try to describe. He put mirror back in place then put a screwdriver in mounting brackets. Then he hit the bottom of the screwdriver and there it is 🎉 30 seconds.
Well, I'm glad he could do it fast and not mess around forever like me. I was so scared to hit it hard because I feared it might shatter the windscreen. I then read on the Mercedes Forums that you have to push in the little pins (make the spring compress). That worked after a couple of tries eventually.
I brought some led canbus side markers for my 2009 and they flickering so I had to return them. So what's a good brand I should get for side marker and license plate
I also tried LED side markers but they either flickered or didn't work at all. I tried two different manufacturers. I'd say stick with the stock lamps.
@@whr_vlogs I agree, but I'm gonna try one more time with a different brand to see what happens, because I did change my side markers to the clear, and they would most definitely look better with the led look instead of that orange color. But it's a little confusing to me, because I came across another video where the guy had the led side markers on his W211 🤷🏾♂️
Not a fan of led lights (interior or exterior) as it can be hard on the eyes, seems like I'm in a crack house or emergency room. Otherwise great job. Very tedious work with these Mercedes.
I get it, it comes down to taste. You could maybe get some softer LEDs which aren't white. But for me it's great, I often drive in the night and with the old lights you could hardly see anything in the inside to be honest.
Idk I doubt it thing is the cable snapped I spent all day with razer exposing copper then put it together it worked then the plastic connector broke ugh

It's important you buy "CANBUS" leds, otherwise you will have a error message or problems with flickering.
Great video! Can you show how to replace headlights please! I have 07 MB E320. Thank you/ Dziekuje
This is a good video that shows how to change the headlight: ua-cam.com/video/tiyjhFcgK3o/v-deo.html

You will need "CANBUS" LEDs, those will make the errors go away.
либо вам просто в линию надо припаять резистор с определенным сопротивлением
Where can I buy this, those from Chinese stores can they also work ?
They will probably work as long as they have canbus functionality. I bought mine off eBay.

@@whr_vlogs hey, i have a quick question what's the led size for the day time running light?
These are T10 LEDs, but make sure you get ones with Canbus functionality.
Hi there, i noticed that the front dome light doesn’t light on on the circle ⭕️ on curtains in models like yours mine too? Any idea
I'm not sure, maybe it's different for non facelift models.
my W211 had OEM LED parking lights
Must be better spec one then.

Licence plate light is too bright and too strong. Its stupid
I disagree, it's really not that bright. Hardly any different than most modern car LED license plate lights.
