Thanks Francis for running us through your gun, really enjoyed the insights! Just one more question: Are you running the single or the two stage diamond? All the best from Germany, Markus
Hi Francis. Are you running a 90 degree or 75 degree throw? Great set-up. I was a volunteer on the 300 yard movers at the '23 GAP Grind and watching you shoot was amazing. Without a doubt, the most efficient shooter I watched on that stage (you cleaned it) and you were super nice and even took a pic with me. Great ambassador for the sport!
@FrancisColonPRS It seems you are using a straight contour barrel, is there any reason to not use a straight contour other than availability? And the 5.5" version of the Maverick which gives you a total barrel package length of 30.5 inches. With that in mind, if you were going to use a longer suppressor, would you think it would be fine to use a shorter barrel length? Or would you still use a 24-26" barrel and just deal with the extra inch or two total barrel package length of 32-34 inches? Thanks. I am most likely going to use a 7" suppressor and was wondering if a 22" or 23" barrel would be fine in your opinion? Would you be comfortable pushing 6 dasher to that ~2850 fps with 105s using a 22" barrel? Or would 6 gt be more appropriate out of a shorter barrel?
What hight scope mount are you using? I have the same major components as you, my barrel is a 1.25 strait. I want the 20moa mount from area 419 but I don't have access to my rifle and the mounts are finally in stock. I am going to be using the bridges on my elite the same as you
TOP NOTCH BUILD 👍👍2 key changes that would make it better: Master Piece Chassis, sorry MDT, I know that this is an MDT presentation, and I like MDT. They make great product, but Masterpiece is objectively a better, more robust Chasse. Missing is Ace muzzle break, unless I missed it myself in this video. Love the Leupold mark 5hd 7-35x56. The 5-25 is probably a better choice, but at 62 YO, my vision is not what it used to be. Thank you for a beautiful presentation. One more thing: You mentioned "gold" do you mean gold plated or PVD finished? Makes a difference on longevity.
@@FrancisColonPRS curious what sold you on the Maverick? I’ve been eyeing their brakes to put on my 300WM/PRC to help with recoil, but also provide flexibility to run a suppressor if I wanted without too much extra work.
@@dustinbovey7865 I went with Maverick because it belongs the shorter recoil pulse duration of a brake with a lower concussion/blast of a suppressor. The major advantages are that it helps me shoot without blinking (allowing me to spot exact impact locations on short shots (inside 500) and keeps rifle motion smooth and short (keeping reticle on target through positional shots). Plus it's configurable so I can use brake or full suppressor configurations whenever I need to.
@@FrancisColonPRS that makes absolute sense, and the modularity definitely adds to its value and performance. Awesome info, thanks! I recently found out a couple years ago that they’re here in my same state even.
We need a superlight chassis that will meet the weight requirements with all these accessories/adjustability, like this, to meet the 12lb rule! Maybe reduce more length and weight from the butt, since everyone is squaring up now.
Chad and I (my barrel smith and team shooter) sent out a few bolt knobs for TiN coating. There are usually a couple places in each state that can batch items together like this and have it done locally. If you ask your local g-smith or or gun store, they can likely point you in the right direction.
We need to bring back REAL matches, not a gear race where whoever has the heaviest Dasher with a 1oz trigger wins. Find, range, engage and use a real cartridge not gamer shit.
this was excellent. thx.
Thanks Joel!
The acc elite is honestly the way to go the adjustment abilities of it is just amazing! I love mine
😁 Perfect! That is what we like to hear
Love the paint job Francis!
Thanks! I had a concept but Titan Cerakote did the hard work so I didn't have to! 😂
Thanks fer sharing Man, you're the Man behind the Rifle.

How are you moving the rifle and bag at the same time? Lightweight fill?
Practice, its a heavier fill
I wish I had the strength to do that. I'm losing so much time in moving the rifle and bag separately. 😢
What are those thumb shelfs on the forend?

Have you heard of the NRL Hunter matches?
Not a single PRS shooter uses a 1 ounce trigger..
Lots of holes in this. PRS is race, usually 15oz +/-. NRL Hunter is what you are after. Different stroke.
