I know when the machine was first introduced there were problems with mats loading and there was a way of checking when the mat was produced. I will look at mine to see if I can remember at the weekend and get back to you. Which country are you in? When I had that problem I emailed Brother and they sent me new mats. This could be your best option. Anne x
@@MegaPotters1 Hello Anne. I am in the UK and have the SDX 1200 and I had this problem. I thought it was something I was doing wrong. I put my machine away . Got it out again today and I had the same problem. Found a video on UA-cam of a couple of guys who were talking about this issue. I now know that this is a fault with the mat and affected a few mats with machines that were purchased between August 2018 and October 2018. Mine is October 2018. I managed to unjam my mat by switching the machine off and on again. I have been able to get the mat to load properly but I am going to have a proper play around with it just to be sure it will work. Hope this helps you/others.
Evening Katherine, so glad you have managed to get it sorted out..strangely I used my matching today after several months of inactivity and the mat went in crooked first time! Injust realigned it and out my left hand on the mat nearest the feed and guided it in from the let and it was ok. Really annoying the mat problem as the machine is the beat in the market in my mind other than that x
I couldn't agree more - the good news is though that the mat I did the demo with is still working but as you say, we really shouldn't have to find fixes ourselves x
