This really worked! I thought something was wrong with the machine but the misfeed didn't happen with the roll feeder. I've had the same matt for two years and have used it a lot. Thanks!
I have the same issue but with a new replacement mat . I will buy another brand cutter before I invest in another mat. These mats do not stick or load. I will try your idea however brother needs to step up and take care of their customers.
I worked great for me and I'm still using those same mats from the video. After you first cut them it seems like they catch but don't worry it wears the edge after a few passes and then you don't notice the noise.
I think it is ridiculous we have to have to have these workarounds…I just bought a new may …used my mat 4 times and started having this issue..my other mats are useless
So are you still having any luck with this? I've ordered this machine and have heard horror stories with the mats and now I am having extreme worry that I will have an issue with one side feeding in and not the other.
My mats still feed great. If I have had to trim them, they last even longer than the original ones. I saw another fix that Julie FEI Fan Balzer had, she just used sand paper on the back where there were black marks and sanded them off till she didn't see them anymore and fixed beautifully as well. I will say the mats are really sticky and I would highly recommend getting a low tack mat to start off with And season it! Basically put the t shirt or towel on it then run a few projects on it first with paper you don't care about. If you have sticking where the whole paper sticks don't worry , just spray with windex wait 2 minutes and wipe or scrape off. Repeat as necessary. The stickiness is more of an issue than crooked feeding I think. Don't let it discourage you though because they are really awesome machines. I love mine!!!
Thanku so much i thought sumn was wrong with my machine!!! whewww that was close
I am notoriously bad at cutting things, so all I did was take a nail file to the corners of the mat to smooth it out and it worked perfectly
All I did was adjust the rollers. It took me some time to figure that out, but it worked.

Happy Friday Tammy and thanks for the tutorial even though I haven’t seen a brother scan and cut used before.
Brilliant solution! Thank you. I was at a loss. I purchased new Brother mats and my SDX125 would not recognize them. :(
Thanks Tammy! I am happy to know my machine is ok, lol. This is awesome!
Thanks. I will give it a try. Not sure if it is my problem however because it is a brand new mat. I only used 3 times before this problem started
This worked!! Yeah! Thank you!

Wow I have this problem after using my scan and cut maybe 5 times… I can’t imagine this is the issue but I guess I will give it a try!
Thanks for the tip!
That worked! Thank you!!!!!!
Thank you for the fix btw…Brother is useless…they deny the issue
Thank so much. Life saver
Thank you great tip
I'd be lost without my scan and cut!
Me too!
I will try this out

@@funtimecrafts2472 And it worked!!! I am so happy 😊. Now all we need is to find a way to get the old mats from the first SCANNCUT to word in the DX 😁
@@Scrapia27 right on!!! If I see a tutorial I'll let you know 🙂

When I place my mat up against the rollers, my rollers stop turning. I also have the SDX225.
Not sure what the reason for them not turning is, there is a brother Scan N Cut facebook group that is awesome for helping with trouble shooting.

is there anyone that can show me how to replace roller rubber please. mine broke
I would ask in the FB group, Brother scan n Cut users. They are really helpful. I haven't had that issue before.
