😀This Parade is comparable to the Veterans day and St. Patricks day parade for the amount of people it attracks. I feel like I am in Puerto Rico today. Veteran US-Navy. God Bless NYC.

I try to visit Puerto Rico every chance I get and I go normally once a year. How long have you been living in Puerto Rico, and how do you like it? I've been traveling there since I was kid but do you like living there? And do you work or are retired?
🇵🇷Weeeeeepa Boricua 🇵🇷🙏😎🎉🎊 glad you there. I was float manager 1992. There was a big fight one year. Guys didn't keep their hands off girls. It got shut down. Stepped up police 🚨 presence ever since. Que Viva 🙌 Puerto Rico!
Watching from PR. When I used to live in NYC I never missed one single parade. My daughter flew from the island this yr for her first parade and she loved it. This yr was dedicated to San Germán, our hometown and she was on one of the floats.
Thank you for sharing with us. I ❤️🇵🇷parade. I have not attended the NYC parade for some time now, I miss the energy and the experience. I now go to NJ and it still full of energy, but it’s not NY❤️🇵🇷
Awesome, Chris. By the way, you have to make the trip to Puerto Rico someday. I think your audience would love to see you visit the land of your parents and grandparents someday. It would give us a great insight of your family, and who you are. Best always, and safe travels. Rafael .🌎
I am new here...does he have Puerto Rican ancestry? I see he has traveled many places...it would be unusual for a person who travels so much not to visit where his ancestors are from.
Awesome, Chris. By the way, you have to make the trip to Puerto Rico someday. I think your audience would love to see you visit the land of your parents and grandparents someday. It would give us a great insight of your family, and who you are. Best always, Chris.
Good job Chris, this video is of the Puerto Rican Day Parade (going up 5th Ave). The actual festival is always the day before the parade on 116th St. Be safe & keep up the good work!
The party does not end. That sounds like PR haha. How cool you got to experience the parade. Alberto won a scholarship from the Parade a while ago, but we have never been to the parade. We are glad we got to see it through your channel.
In the 1960’s the parade was elegant! Floats, cultural art young girls dressed in “tipica style” with representation, Puerto Rico’s mayors from each section, real orchestras, etc. It would end in Central Park only to see THEATRICAL PRODUCTIONS on the stage A different generation YOUR grandfathers It was so beautiful in the ‘60s and continued in the ‘70s I participated many times and it was nostalgic The crowds were triple of what I see today MANY migrated to Florida ❤
Yeah baby to all my Puerto Ricans in New York City God bless you... be safe... Viva enjoy.. from Buffalo New York are Puerto Rican festival is in August. ❤️🌹✌️🙏🏼🙏🏼
Yo Chris you have to come again next year! The parade is the 2nd Sunday of June every year. You have to check out the PR Festival on 116th street, Spanish Harlem. That’s the Saturday before the parade. That Festival is A VIBE too!! I’m so glad you got to witness the best parade in the country! QUE VIVA PUERTO RICO!!!!🇵🇷
Bro, thanks for posting this. 🙏 I worked in East Harlem, "El Barrio," where the festival continues. I was missing NYC, and I have a month before I'm out to PR to see the family, so seeing this was great, bro. It brings back memories of the old days ❤🙏 in NYC.
I remember taking my motorcycle down there about 20 years ago with about 20 friends. It was a crazy time one of the best parades ever. We had the bikes all decked out in the Puerto Rican flag. The Dominican parade is just as good.
Glad you made it to the parade. I haven’t been in years. Last time I was there, went to Madison Square Garden to see Miguel Cotto fight and then the parade the following day
Loved your videos Puerto Rican day parade Chris. From Miami born and raised Queens NY. Should go to Flushing meadow park for Colombia Independence day event. Hey Chris, great video. I'm from Brooklyn but rarely journey out into the city unless I'm working and usually driving through. Weed is legal to smoke on the streets. Light one up! Cheers!
Hey bro enjoy yourself bro, Puerto Rican are everywhere, we celebrate everywhere to.. I lived in NYC but when ya get a chance hit up Bronx and Brooklyn, and I most definitely would say visit Puerto Rico, I’ll be in PR in October to visit fam… man I can wait.
From the looks of it. The crowds are no where the size that they used to be back in the day. There literary no room on the sidewalk on the parade route. You would have to be there like 8 or 9 o’clock 🕘 I’m the morning…
Chris, I was at the PR Parade. Exactly where you started to view the parade on 5th Ave. There was NO smell of weed & you were NOT the only person not "messed up" that day! How dare you insult us on our special day. Time for you to go visit the island already. What are you waiting for?????
It's called the National Puerto Rican Day Parade. Not the Puerto Rico Day nor Puerto Rico Festival. You should read up on the event before commenting...
Those drinks they selling on the streets are called nutcrackers and they are strong you will get drunk quick with a few of them. It’s a good thing you went for a beer at a bar 😂
