Great hunt and great finds. The majority of your finds were in excellent condition. To top things off, colorized ones were found. The 2014 birthday coin...now that is cool! Congrats.
I'm going to put a request into my bank that the next box include only a full BU roll from each year of issue. That seems reasonable, right?! Though... keeping $1000 of loonies will put a bit of a dent in my finances!!
Lol, I feel the same way about the States. Makes me want to arrange for someone to pick up some boxes for me that I can hunt in a visit... Would be lots of fun (just not sure if my wife would agree!!).
Great hunt! I got one of 1992 yesterday from one on my banks that looks like it was pulled from a proof-like set. Also got 2023 Loonie and a Riopelle at same bank.
It's so strange that people will pull apart those sets! But, I imagine, like this birthday loonie I found, someone got it as a gift, and thought, hey, there's a few dollars in there I can spend on something I really want! ;)
One bank I sometimes go to to pick up rolls or boxes from; another collector uses it as a dump bank and I sometimes get his rolls, and for some reason he always wraps his rolls with all the same year of coin, don’t know why, just so weird. But in a different rolls I found either a mint state or a specimen first year 87 loonie last night!
Definltely a crazy cool find! This is only my second of these types of special issue coins. I previously found a "Home & Native Land" quarter that would have come from a set.
That's good to hear! Hopefully the 2024s will make their way out there soon, too (I still haven't run into any of the regular issue 2024s yet here in Southwestern Ontario).
All the commemoratives in the 90s were my favourite when I was a kid, the parliament, the soldiers, the monument, I also particularly liked the parliament, when I started stacking silver I bought a 1939 I think it is, that also has the parliment
I think these ones might be harder to find in change - I think more people (beyone coin collectors) will be interested in these ones. I guess we'll see!
Being of French Canadian decent in US l'm interested in looking into Canadian coins to expand the hobby. Any links & info would be appreciated. They do have their share of fascinating coins & history.
Hey, Victor! Thanks so much for watching! A great place online to start would be exploring the CoinsandCanada.com website. Particularly, the menu under Canadian Coins > Price Guide and Values. This is where you'll actually find detailed information on coins by denomination, including lots of pics of errors and varieties. It's a great place to start!
Are the colorized coins released into general circulation or are they put into circulation by collectors who didn't want to keep all they have acquired.
They're released into general circulation. Some are sold in special mint rolls to collectors and in sets, but the majority are released to the banks to circulate.
At the moment I have my loonies in 2x2 cardboard flips in an binder. However, I'm considering getting a Lighthouse Vista album for my loonies. You can get one, too at Lighthousecanada.ca and use the discount code CRH20 to get 20% off your purchase.
Just ask for a box or $1000 in loonies. Either way you're good. They don't need to be hand-wrapped. Machine-wrapped are fine for loonies. Good luck and have fun!!
It's always nice to watch those hunts. Love it🔥
Thanks so much! I appreciate you watching!

There were certainly a lot of dull and discoloured coins that I didn't film, but luckily there were some really nice ones in there, too!
All the excitement that you hope for in an opening!
Absolutely! Thanks so much for watching, Lucien!
Awesome finds especially the NIFC!!
Thanks! That birthday loonie was a pretty awesome and unexpected find, for sure!
The 2010 Olympic loonie and the 2016 Olympic loonie are my favourite ones of all time
More loonies for the album and trade, James! Can't ask for more from a box of coins!😊

Just got a full roll of the Anne of Green Gables today with one end with a colour coin and the other with no colour.
That's awesome! My banks don't tend to get new rolls from the mint. So, it's one here, one there!
i bought a roll of the colored ones from the RCM. they are beautiful.!!!
Nice score, great pickups!
@@evangouldtransit Have you seen the silver LM Montgomery coin that is also colourized? Anne of Green Gable's hair is red - beautuful coin!
@@CADRollHunter yes i have.! it is beautiful, i love the detail on the fields
Very nice haul. Those birthday sets are cool. Finding one in circulation is awesome. Mind you whoever spent it didn't know that loonie is worth $20.
Very true. But they *really* wanted a chocolate bar!!
Awesome hunt!
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!
Good score on the birthday coin.
Thanks - that was definitely a super find!
some great finds!! very nice
Thanks 👍 Appreciate it, Aaron!
These coins look pretty much like real gold!
They really do, when they're nice and shiny and new! Thanks for watching!
Your videos make me want to coin roll hunt in Canada. There are so many cool coins to find.

Nice hunt. You got some decent looking coins in the box.
Thanks, Tom!
I've always wanted a few Charles III coins, those are some pretty good finds there

It really sucks to find someone's discards... but when you find some really nice stuff, it makes up for it! Thanks for watching!
Nice score of that 2014 Birth Year Loonie.

I'm ascribe to your channel and I sure do enjoy your videos and I sure do enjoy all the Canadian coins seems that I live in America😊
Thanks so much for watching, Erwin! I'm glad you're still enjoying my videos!
Love the 2010's
Strange to see a full roll of 15 year old BU coins. But I'll take it! Thanks for watching, Patrick!
i found my first 2023 KC3 loonie two weeks ago and i got two more the other day. i think they're finally making their way to the east coast lol
That's good to hear! Hopefully the 2024s will make their way out there soon, too (I still haven't run into any of the regular issue 2024s yet here in Southwestern Ontario).
That's a lot of rare Loonie coins
It was a great hunt! Thanks for watching!!
I got a colour Montgomery in a roll i bought for laundry, my first 2024 coin too
I found a 1991 in brilliant condition.... With a big scratch down the back 😢
I also found my first camel toe toonie
All the commemoratives in the 90s were my favourite when I was a kid, the parliament, the soldiers, the monument, I also particularly liked the parliament, when I started stacking silver I bought a 1939 I think it is, that also has the parliment
That's sad!
Me, too. I loved the designs on those coins, and the provincial quarters were fun, as well!
12:02 im still wait to find it in my change

Where do you get these boxes from?
I just go to the bank and ask to withdraw money from my account. But instead of bills, I ask for coins.

THINGS ARE CRAZY! I find a 1928s wheat cent and get a 2019w quarter! But I still haven't got a 2024 cent, nickel,or dime! 😩
Nice finds! Hopefully by the time you find your 2024s they're still nice looking!! ;)
