Sorry guys, I think I didn't state something clearly in the video. The base plate is a package of the b-explorer button panel, arm, and plate mount together in a package. It's not 225$ JUST for the plate.

yeah i always found button boxes like this to be both on the expencive side (compared to DIY alternatives) and just not quite what i was looking for always missing buttons / sliders or having too many of them.
the amazing thing about DIY is that your button box will end up with exactly the amount of buttons and sliders you need in the exact spot where you want them, suplies can be found relatively cheap at you local electronics store (if you are fortunate enough to have one of those) or even cheaper when you order them from china trough something like aliexpress (if you don't mind the wait and running the risk of low quality parts, but honestly it is so cheap that even if you get a few less than great switches you can just order new ones for a couple bucks)

You asked about the 4th slide - and I can share what I use mine for: Thrust level. Default is 100% - making the "throttle" more like a switch that gives full thrust until intended speed is reached. I used this a lot to ease up on fuel consumption when the MSR was released.
It's fun to tinker with if you need to save fuel - or maneuver in a very tight situation (Xenothreat Cargo, rescue citizens in EVA without killing them). I also use it when I want to make "greasy" landings - hover over pad and lower thrust to allow the ship to float to the pad. Just remember to turn it back up when you launch, or you can make the Gladius fly like a Prospector.

analog sliders for mining power is straight up the #1 reason to use things like this. They have a ton of other features but honestly if you are a hardcore mining player and haven't experienced the smoothness of using an analog slider/dial, any of them, then you owe it to yourself to get either this or even a cheap one. 180 may seam steep, but if you shop around, that's about average for aviation/flight accessories and hardware. Other button/control panels, displays, joysticks, yokes and yaw pedals all run in that range between 150 to 300 USD. Morph I can't believe you're still using a T.16000M :-) It's good for the money, but you deserve a VirPil or VKB or something!
The Blackhog looks nice, and the acrylic sticker solution is pretty nifty. I like it for immersion but I'd rather not take my hands off the (dual) sticks. Accordingly I added throttles to my Constellation Deltas.

I just use a pair of 9-key macro keypads, one for each stick. They're positioned and angled for easy reach and only like $48 each

While I get why someone wants real buttons and I do have a warthog hotas. After I've played with gameglass for some time now, for that amount of money I would buy an additional table to use with gameglass. To me that fits star citizen better

You should ask VIRPIL if they can send you one of their stick and throttle combos to try. From what I understand of them and of the size of your channel they'll probably send you a unit right away...

I can't speak for how this product specifically works, but Star Citizen can plug and play with the common custom button box control boards like an Arduino Pro Micro with a Joystick Library or a Leo Bodnar.

      Hello Stove,
yes. As it is automatically recognized as a generic control device by Windows, it is also recognized by Star Citizen. Many of our customer use it for Star Citizen.

Holy frak. I had no idea how expensive this sort of stuff became when I started building mine from cardboard (it's still a prototype!) xD Anyway, the conclusion is so true. It's just so satisfying to push a real switch and something happens in the game. Touchscreens and apps may look more nice but can not deliver on the sensation of pushing an actual switch / lever / rotary and I kinda dislike how most Sci-Fi concepts go touchscreens everywhere just because o0
