I put mine together today and am in the process of seasoning it. One thing I don't understand is the heat and fire in the hopper rises (obviously). I filled the hopper about 1/3rd full and a short time later when I went to check on the level of the charcoal I opened the hopper and flames were coming out. During regular use how does it not ignite all the charcoal in your hopper?? Thanks!
Thanks for the video! I saw you were struggling with bottom air intake slide to put it in. It looks the lower heat shield is bumped against the guides and not straight. When putting that lower heat shield during assembly, there is a slot in the shield to put that guides out, and it will be straight. You probably already have fixed it...thought will let you know.
Does it require high grade charcoal for this burn or can i use cheaper charcoal to pre season? Keen to fet set up but waiting on the big k charcoal to arrive!
That’s a wild idea for a cooker, makes sense though. Convenience of a pellet cooker with the ease of a pellet smoker. Should be interesting to see how well it does. Awesome video Tommy!
