    Built a 12kw clone this last summer, wish I had your video at the time. Couldn't figure out a good setup for fenders until I saw your setup - pretty simple and effective. Either way I'm on 1300 miles and LOVING this bike. Appreciate the time you took to put this out, keep it up!

    Step 10. It's very important to apply some lock tight on the screws. I use stronger than the blue one. When a screw pop out after hard breaking it damage or severe the motor cable. It happened to me 3 times on 2 of my bikes.

      @@alexchavosaurus It's repearable. You can replaced the cable. I never did it myself but I saw videos and it's not too dificult. I mean for me since I openned up a lot of motors and did other repears like replacing halls sensors.

    Great Video! Thanks for being Open Source.
    When lining up the side panels I have use two long studs or bolts with the heads removed threaded in the frame, the side panel hangs on the long studs till the rest of the bolts are threaded in. Great Magnet ideal.

    *Very nice video* for the seat it will cut circulation off to your balls, I modified mine, get longer bolts and put washers in between top 2 bolts to change angle of seat 1” usually and perfect, also you can put a enduro seat with some simple modifications if you need your balls lol but seriously it’s a great modification! The motor cable he spoke of is probably most over looked so great job, if that cable rubs on the rotor you’ll be buying a new rear hub motor! Bakes you may need to adjust few times or bleed air out, I bought a ebike hydraulic brake bleed kit! Great item to have.
    I got slightly over 5k miles on my bike in 1 yr so Im trying to help here I think this is a great video just to be clear.
    I would not use all that caulk it’s going to be extremely difficult to remove and you’ll actually get moisture if you leave bike inside air conditioned home then go ride in summer my experience and vise-versa from heat to cold, I never ride in rain and my bike is fine no caulk my sabvoton control is actually under the seat they sell a mount box that bolts underneath just fine, if you want keep battery from getting wet just don’t ride in rain or use very thin rubber gasket self adhesive 1/4” wide or trim smaller is ok. Again just trying to help guys!
    FYI riding on roadway cars will 100% pullout on you etc so be extremely vigilant and put set mirrors on it! Definitely mandatory if you want to live, I had a truck hit me a few days ago he didn’t have his blinker on was going straight thru intersection then abruptly turned right into me “while riding the shoulder of road” going 15 mph, I was watching and saw him start to turn so I was ok but you gotta pay attention 1000% and just a tip I use brush guards on all my bikes to protect my hands ( gloves of course) when this truck turned into me he hit my handlebars first and they kept me from losing control etc so something to consider, as a note I’ve rode motorcycle 45yrs so but what matters is really paying attention do not assume anything, last month a elderly lady ran a intersection jumped curb knocked down street signs and almost ran me over but I saw her, what I’m saying is pay attention guys don’t think it could never happen, if you ride long enough you’ll understand what I’m saying, and if you have kids don’t let them ever ride along a highway, again if you ride long enough you’ll see why I’m saying this, people just don’t pay attention they’re distracted on cell phones most of the time, one more thing but a set of led rechargeable blinking light, red rear/white front, be safe out there people.

      I'm guessing it's not one of our kits , lights can be a pain which is why we opted for this plug and play system . Sounds like either the power feed or ground feed running to your switch has a broken wire and some kind of break in the line. Check those first !

    • @ElectricBikeLaboratory
      @ElectricBikeLaboratory  11 місяців тому +3

      Yes you are indeed correct , in this case the motor cable is actually not quite long enough for these MXUS 3K Turbo motors.
      The proper place is to go below and we did try that first but then we couldn't connect to the controller inside.

    No one had any issue with the battery "mount"? Those foam tape strips aren't going to hold 40lbs in an accident. I don't believe it was stated in the vid what the power of the controller was but the wire coming out of the xt90 adapter cable to the battery looked comically undersized. Might work for 3kw. If this is an 8kw+ build those wires are going to get toasty. The foam tape being the batter retention mechanism was the craziest part.

    The frame joints don’t look like they will hold very well. I’ve purchased a 60v scooter off of alibaba for $1600 and the frame failed due to metal fatigue. I absolutely see this happening to this stealth bomber clone.

      So far we've built about 20 of these and none of them have failed at the frame. They're possibly overbuilt (very heavy). But in any case it is a good thing to watch out for!

    Ok but for real the next challenge is adding a adustable size 72v gas can battery system and then storage options and it would be the best bike possible.

      The nice thing about them is they can be bought in pieces as you have the funds , all at once can feel pretty expensive, most of the cost is in the battery

    Uses" Chinesium bolts".
    Uses a spacer on the brakes.
    Doesn't use longer bolts to secure the brakes disc.
    Locktite is no substitute for thread engagement.

      Hey thanks for the comment! We switched to longer bolts for the brake discs, and the spacers for the rotors are aluminum. Great catch though on your part 😉

    Built a fake myself it was fast with terrible brakes fake shocks front and back. I honestly think these copy cat manufacturers could build a brand themselves instead of being invisible. What I am saying is they are so often invisible when it comes to after sales.....

    Just buy a talaria xxx it’s like 500 bucks cheaper and faster

    • @ElectricBikeLaboratory
      @ElectricBikeLaboratory  Рік тому +1

      Just looked it up and Talaria XXX is $4000CAD and only includes 60V 25AH Battery, 47 mph top speed
      The one in this video is currently $3500CAD and has 72V 55AH Battery, which is more than 2.5X the amount of battery, and can do up to 50mph.
      Talaria XXX is a sweet bike, but facts are facts. More expensive and same speed if not slightly slower, and a battery that is 2.5x smaller. Maybe you can clarify if I have something wrong here?

      Are you stunned? Do the CAD to USD conversion and look at the speed conversion as well that's DOUBLE the battery.

      Couldn't agree with you more.
      I have 2 Surrons and a Talaria MX3 , we've never brought a Stealth Bomber to an MX track, it's not made for it at all. It's made to ride the roads and occasional light trails in complete silence (hence stealth) , anything with a heavy hub motor is not an off road machine.
