Be careful, buddy, Samsung 50S get's pretty hot (over 70°C) at 15A continious.. If you want 25A continious you should rather use Molicel 45b's, these are good for 35A!

thank you for posting this video. I've a learned a lot form it. two things to mention: you do not have a battery holder? It is painfull to watch the wobbling battery during welding. second, in the first few test with the smaller spot welder, you say it holds and it pass... not for me. if i can pull it off easy it is NOT a PASS

Did you guys have issues with movement in the handle bar stem area when using the front brakes?

No one had any issue with the battery "mount"? Those foam tape strips aren't going to hold 40lbs in an accident. I don't believe it was stated in the vid what the power of the controller was but the wire coming out of the xt90 adapter cable to the battery looked comically undersized. Might work for 3kw. If this is an 8kw+ build those wires are going to get toasty. The foam tape being the batter retention mechanism was the craziest part.

Why would you not just buy brand new lithium ion batteries? and run them in parallel. instead of buying prebuilt battery packs to then have to dismantle it. and redo the work again. Is there a benefit from it or something?

I have the controller shown on order think the controller had mode 2 on it . The motor i am using has no hall sensors , any idea on settings

Thanks for the test. I am looking for a device to weld batteries for drones, and honestly I wouldn't trust any of this little welders. I teared apart some industrial welded battery packs, and man, they had weld spots. It ripped apart the nickel strip, the weld spot was way stronger. If a spot welder cannot archive this, I will stay with my soldering iron. There is no space for mistakes when flying.

why are you using glue??? If one of them will be broken how you will fix it?

Lol the comments here. He obviously sped up the original speed of the video to shorten its length from being over an hour long. You can easily reverse that if you need to.
