    You are genius. Read y’all’s book “scientific principles of strength training” and on my second squat day of the week I am hitting a close stance hi bar to develop quad strength. Your methods actually work and what’s crazy is they are old school and super simple.
    Specificity, overload, MRV. Legggggoooo

      Why would over head press be better than bench press?

    Is it important to do a lot of benchpress and have big pectoral muscles or is it better to have good shoulders ?

    • @seanlevi2618
      @seanlevi2618 Рік тому

      I'd assume the shoulders since they are a bigger muscle by size and are more versatile in what they can do, but not really sure tbh

      1 thing is not more important than the other, keep it balanced

    What’s your opinion on Starting Strengths method?

    • @JuggernautTrainingSystems
      @JuggernautTrainingSystems  Рік тому

      Aggressively average. Its fine for beginners (as most things are) but beyond that nothing special.

      @@JuggernautTrainingSystems why won’t it work later on? They do kinda switch to Texas Method style training and advanced stuff I believe.

    • @JuggernautTrainingSystems
      @JuggernautTrainingSystems  Рік тому

      No individualization, so it might be fine for some people but will be less than optimal for many more.

      @@JuggernautTrainingSystems ok kool. I’m doing it to just get my numbers up. Not worried about lifting 800 pounds so I hear that. Once you get to a certain point and even along the way you need to fill in the gaps and work on deficiencies.

      Individualized volume is always useful. 5x5 may be a good fit for you but you might do better with 7 sets or 3 sets. ua-cam.com/video/5Yj6sDg-Pec/v-deo.html
