I am 60 years old, I've been listening to this band since 1974. For you youngsters and newby's out there that have been listening to this band for maybe 10 or 20 years there is no other band like this rush is in fact the most unique sound in the music industry. There never will be another. And there will never be another Neil Peart.
This is true. When I listened to Rush for the first time, It was like a arrow in the chest, love at first hearing. I think I listened Finding My Way on the radio for the first time. Since then, I never stopped listening. They are unique at music universe.

Neal was so humble, almost embarrassed by being a "superstar". The BEST drummer this planet had or will ever have. RIP Neal, your legend will always live on.
I just heard he died on the 7th, it took them a few days to make public for some reason. Didn’t mean to be pedantic about the date. Your message stays the same and that’s what’s important. RIP Neil.

Even after watching Rush in concert and listening to everything they recorded, I still to this day don't know how only three guys could play like there's at least two more in the band. I once suspected additional tracks being added, but between watching them live, and going over their videos like I was studying for finals, I could only conclude that they're just that good.

Rush was about to be dropped by their record company for poor sales. The three of them decided to go out (if they were going to go out) with a bang, by recording an album that was to be their final artistic statement with no regard to what their record company or the public mind would easily digest. This album was the result. It skyrocketed them to popular success.
