I know this is an old video but I have an idea that I would have added to this. I would have put that TV on a mantel mount as well, that way you could lower the TV even more and adjust its viewing angle once the panel had fully lowered.
Yea i believe i would nix the ipad touch controls just based on the fact that if wifi goes out than so does everything else i would assume.. or at least incorporate a manual rocker switch on a switch plate.. and its not much to speed it up, could even have a detent adjust either mechanically or electronically for adjusting.. the fold down rate wouldnt be too crucial but i could see the retract speed being a bit more needed at times.. but for just a few dollars instead of having motors and additional electronics that could and will fail quicker than to just have it on struts and close n latch with a push to lock deal.. could make it out of an old cabinets hardware even..
Depends on the weight of the display. We build the units to the spec of the display so you see as little hardware as possible. Shoot me an email if you would like to learn more. jamesf@auton.com

Love it! I’m doing this in the master bedroom for the exact same reason
That’s what fuck I’m talking about yo go boy
Nice, must be a little tricky to get it to close flat and even like you have it. Ya, a little slow but probably plenty of torque.
A D takes some work to make it look good. But worth it
Nick, sound like you would like a TV in your master bathroom :P

Any idea how much for a 40 inches tv
Don't like those cables shown
So for 5000$+ the vertical cables don't even retract to the back when fully open....
To slow make it faster!!
Walk out the room and return in 10 seconds
Way way too slow
I think I'd get bored and reach for a laptop/
