I have a Vivo, ( different model ), on a 65'' screen above my fireplace. Good price and a great product. What you save with a mount like this, is that you don't need a cabinet to place it on. You could also have a wall mount, but down stairs a ceiling mount, will get it out of the way, when you need to. ( yes you do need some good bolts / large screws into wood!!)
Hey, Seba from Argentina here. Once it goes down, can you turn it? Let say I want to watch the tv from another part of my living room, can I turn the tv so I can watch it from anywhere in the room?
Not 100% sure, I can’t get the casing off, but I don’t think so. There are mounting holes on the left and right side, about 4 in apart and I think they are closer together than 16” front to back. I had to add extra framing in the attic anyway because my garage joists are 24” apart.
I I have Wi-Fi in the garage for streaming. But got a super long HDMI cable, about 20 feet I think. I use it to connect to my dvd player that I have next to where I sit.
hello @king of projects i have a question does this mount go up and down pretty fast? ive seen other videos where people state that its really slow to come down and to retract back up.. thank you
Glad you explained and suggested the wood backing. I just bought this mount and already prepared myself for going into the attic to put backing in lol
Glad it was helpful!
I like this mount. This is exactly what I needed to see to determine if I wanted to purchase this or not seems solid. Thank you sir.

Very good demo. I bought an equal one and i will install it this weekend. Thks
I will be doing the same thing up in the attic to add on the 16" measurement.
Can this be used outdoors? (Gazebo) Thanks
I don’t see why not as long as it secure. The way it’s built I think it will be ok outside as long as it doesn’t get directly wet.
Thanks for sharing!
Great job 👏🏼 I love it

Is there a place to plug the TV in on the mount or do you have to go to the outlet with the TV as well?
I have to go to the outlet I have on the ceiling.
@@drueking That's too bad. A place to plug in the TV would be a great feature on the mount..
What is the model tv you have? I am wondering the dimensions of your 55" tv as well as the weight.
It's a Hisense, nothing fancy to be sure, but it is not too bad on weight, if I were to guess, I would say around 20 lbs.
Hey now that’s it’s been 8 months . Is everything still working correctly?
Working perfectly, it’s also my office, so I take a break from my standing desk and watch something for lunch. Not a single glitch
can it be stopped at any point of travel when lowering and raising?
Yes it can, you can hit stop at any time
Also, it is adjustable so you can set it up to always stop at a certain height.
are the front two mounting hole and the back two 16in apart?

When folded, how much space is taken up between the screen and the ceiling?
The whole thing including the tv is about 7”. Between the tv and the ceiling is about 3.5” including the mounting panels bolted to the back of the tv
How do you connect HDMI cable to tv and have it move up and down like that?
The only thing connected by hdmi Is a Blu-ray player fed across the ceiling
Obviously you don’t have cable tv
Is the motor wifi enabled so you can control it from anywhere?
No, you can only use the remote.
I would set up an interlock so the garage door wont open when it is down
I actually took out the opener and am using the door as a wall, I needed more wall space, and I have two other overhead doors to use
Cable box where?
I don’t have cable, just internet.
great job, how does the HDMI cable work?

@@drueking and it doesn't interfere with the opening/closing mechanism?

I'd say its about 30-40 seconds
Can you use that usb port to power it from tv instead of connecting it to plug?
No, the USB port is for factory programming only. It cannot be used for power.
@@drueking so how do you power up the tv
@@jaydarealest5978 this used to be a 3 car garage,I took out the center opener and rail, and plug the tv and mount into the outlet used for the opener
what size is the tv?
55 inch
What’s the brand of the tv
It’s a Hisense. I wanted something cheap since it’s just for me in my studio/shop and had Roku. But I have to say it’s been a damn good tv so far.
I also have 55 but it’s a Samsung I have the same mount so the little ears around the square mount do you need to use all 4 ?
@@LC-jg7mw because of my bolt pattern, I had to use the lower two ears only.
It's too bad the 32-70 inch model is almost triple the price
Yeah, the one I have does work for me for the size of my sitting area though.
All my projects all in one place and wife is happy to get rid of husband and vice versa. Happy ending...
