Caleb thank you for having me on the show. This really was my wake up call. It was hard to come on this show its fairly embarrassing having my finances ripped apart like that on the internet. I was very irresponsible with my money before I discovered your channel. I have an update on the mobile house, and all those google play transactions I'll be emailing you with the update in just a few days once everything is finalized. Thank you caleb, and team for the help, and your guys time. I look forward to doing the update video a year from now I have really made some big changes!
Good on you for coming on the show 👍🏻 that takes guts man
We’re all rooting for you!
Good luck to you, sir. Might have made some dumb mistakes in the past, but it's never too late to change 🙌🏽
Good luck to you. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Thanks for doing it. It helps guys like me half way through paying off debt to stay on the path. Follow the budget, setup a weekly schedule so you have time to meal prep. Meal prep is saving me SOOOO MUCH money.
Y'all, if you are married and coming on this show, bring your spouse! Your wealth is made or lost depending on who you marry. It's such an uphill battle needlessly when you don't get on the same page as your partner.
Maybe she refused...just like she refuses to work 🤣
@@forkthepork Yep. I am sure she was welcome to come, but didn't want to.
@@forkthepork Oof, great point.
@@forkthepork My wife didn't work when my sons were young. But she packed my lunch, made meals at home, and kept a VERY lean household so I could work two jobs. That was the best decision we made in our marriage.
He mentioned at some point that she’s his fiancé
I used to wonder how anyone my age was able to afford all kinds of fun things like expensive clothes, vacations, and houses, and now I realize many of them are possibly in debt. Watching this made me realize that I'm in no way a bad spot financially and it makes me feel so grateful.
I feel the same way. Im always seeing couples I know having the nicest new clothes and gadgets and stuff and new cars and I'm just like how?? Especially when only one of them works.
@@allison8752tons of debt. Either that or they have an amazing source(s) of income, but that part is usually not the case.
That’s the exact question I had in university but was too shy to ask. My friends were constantly going out to eat, had decent cars, MacBook Pro, iPhones, watches, you name it. I came from a middle class family and could barely afford the tuition + textbooks. After talking to a few of the people after we graduated I learned that they maxed out student loans to live that lifestyle. By the time I paid back my student loans, they still had ~ 40k in debt. Some were fairly open about that and clearly regretted the decision. I like to go through life thinking that everyone is in debt, because most people are. Whether that’s as simple as a car payment or like the case with the gentleman in the video.
Yes I thought the same thing before finding this channel. I now understand that those friends are in worse financial situations than I am. One of those friends thought $10,000 was a lot of money when we went around saying what we'd wish for from a genie, she said $10,000 and we all went THATS IT?? 😭
My husband and I have a combined income of $70,000 but we are frugal and have a very comfortable life, even with the inflation.
We both want comfort in life, not luxury. We don't compare ourselves to others because that just makes you think of all the things you don't have instead of what you are blessed with.
I always bought everything used, especially clothes when my kids were little. We never eat out because I don't trust people to be clean and we rarely travelled because it's just too exhausting with kids and it's a waste of vacation time.
Social media has given people a distorted idea of what a good life looks like. I think having meaningful relationships and experiences with people is more important than travelling the world sightseeing.
"im an experienced rider"

We need more of this
caleb slowly finding out how the trades work over the episodes is hilarious
Yeah he has no clue at all how it works. It's honestly a bit messed up how much people are expected to spend on tools to work in a trade that doesn't pay them that well. Part of the reason that good tradespeople are hard to find
@@lewishein1337 walked onto a trades job straight outta highschool and they told me this for the first time, ended up quitting a week later and started working for city government who gave me a 500 dollar work boot budget on my very first day and the tools all go on the company card.
Im working for you, not paying for supplies to do your job with my money
Caleb mostly worked in sales to my knowledge before he did the youtube thing. And it sounds like his family is more white collar type.
I don't quite get this comment. My dad's an outboard mechanic and most of his tools are older than me 😂. I'm guessing new tools are built to break?
@@TheCheEnergy The issue is you need to buy the tools to get started. Once you have them they should last forever. You might spend $10000 your first year buying tools but spend less than $200 for the rest of your life
Just up and leaving a $100k job for a $30k one across the country is absurd. As a Texan who has spent a significant amount of time in the PNW, I can say that he did not have to move all the way here just to escape the "riots". There are a ton of small towns around the Seattle area where could've commuted to work if he wanted to take his kids out of the city.
This reeks of a decision spawned from being too online.
I have been trying to articulate these feelings but you already did it! Moving from a blue state that paid him to a red state that doesn't is kind of the whole point
I can’t believe he said he left due to riots as if those happen every day and only in Washington 😂
Not just any decision, but clearly a life crippling one.
I moved to Washington State in 2021 from the Midwest, I'm 40min from the city and it's wonderful. I have no plans for kids (DINK life is the plan) but if we change our mind this is a perfect place to raise them.
@@CJFravel I think Texas and Washington State are both fine places to raise kids...but neither is worth taking a $70k pay cut to do it.

No, this has Bill, Boomhauer, and Dale written all over it. Maybe even Peggy if Hank was gone but never ever Hank Rutherford Hill.
A couple things:
1. I don’t buy that he moved to Texas and took a major pay cut for political reasons
2. What mobile game addiction does he have? There’s way to many google play store purchases.
3. If he’s an experienced rider why doesn’t he have a motorcycle license?
4. Why did his landlord kick him off their property?
Dude is taking accountability at least, but there’s something underneath the surface here driving these decisions.
What if you’re stuck in most expensive neighborhood in TX because of family, but work remotely in Oklahoma?!?

5. He and his fiancé seem to have compatibility issues even before marriage. I hope they got those resolved but that’s very scary especially with a kid.

I would ask way more questions about the financial arrangements with his mom. They bought a mobile home together, which he was contributing $1200 a month for, but now it’s being foreclosed on, and he doesn’t know what the arrangements are? His mom can’t contribute to groceries, but can have a $600 car payment? Something is hinky here.
Yeah very sus
The whole story is suspect, everything he has is on borrowed money. Those are not assets they are liabilities.
Answer is...beta male. He has a mom issue as well as GF issues. He needs to cut financial ties with mom. GF is financial liability at this point.
Why are they buying a mobile home at all? They LOSE value. Better to simply pay rent ever month
@@janeandrews1790 TRUTH. Unfortunately some see ANY home ownership as a marker of success.
When he said he couldn't remember to bring a lunch --- It reminded me of an acquaintance who was constantly whining about being broke but always used door dash or the like to deliver her lunch at work every day.
I suggested she make and bring her lunch to work.
She rolled her eyes and said she didn't have time to do that much extra work. I reminded her she was in her 50's, no children, no retirement plans and was always blaming everyone for her problems.
Sadly some people never learn.
It’s totally a mindset. I used to say I didn’t have time to make coffee at home yet I would carve out 10 minutes to pickup my coffee on my way to work
@@its_jess4321 Agreed --- It is a mindset. But also a matter of choice too.
I'm retired now, however when I was working full time I would spend Sunday afternoon cooking a couple basic meals like spaghetti, chili or meatloaf, that I could then package up for taking to my office for lunch during the upcoming week.
Ditto making coffee at home and I opted to take a bus rather than have a car. Saved a bit of money every month that added up to a lot of money over a period of years.

As a former daycare worker, there are sooooo many centers (majority of them, actually) that will offer extremely discounted child care for employees (50-75% off if not free). The girlfriend going back to work could seriously help their situation.
I'm shooting in the dark but something about this feels like the mother and wife are clashing. We didn't get the full story.

@@justanothermaidI'd be willing to throw it out there they moved to help take care of his mother under some pretense that Texas is super low cost of living and he'd land an awesome job and be able to support them all
To much abuse for kids in daycare. Kids that aren't old enough to speak up for themselves shouldn't be in daycare, really. He put himself in this it seems but the video title and tone is that she is the problem. If it was me I would think "Why should I risk my child's safety to pay a guy's debt that he created after telling me he would take care of me and my baby?" I assume they must have agreed she would stay home. Most women know it isn't just understood you will stay home. As soon as the baby arrives the situation changes and her money is going towards his debts? Not the baby, but his personal debts. Maybe they both owe on the trailer but he has racked up a LOT of debt on his own. Why not just move out and have less housework and stuff to deal with between him and the mother in law and get her own place, if her baby is going to be in daycare anyway? I say divorce.
This man has 3 children to take care of… his kid, his mom and his fiance…
So it’s time the two “adults” he takes care of to either get a job or do things FOR HIM that supports him making money (make lunch for him, have dinner ready for him, do actual grocery shopping to prep the meals, keep the home clean, chores, etc.)
I wouldn't consider a stay at home Mom who takes care of a baby a 'child '.
Grandma needs to step up and watch the kid while Mom goes out there to help boost their finances.

But their is stuff she could do, so if he works like 70 hrs a week or needs to get a second job. That he doesn't have to come home and handle home stuff or make the bills payed
For sure, he has all the weight on his shoulders. Fiancé definitely needs to start bringing some income.
A SAHM should be doing things to support the person who is earning the money. Caring for a child is not easy, but making spaghetti isn't hard. Making a ham and cheese sandwich for the person you love is not easy. Apparently, buying things on Google daily is easy. If he is working 70 hours a week, he is not doing the purchases.

Just started the episode, so I am not sure if this is addressed later, but I wanted to mention that the "hours paid per job" for a mechanic is pretty normal. A job, such as an oil change, is assigned a certain amount of hours, and regardless of how fast or slow you complete it, you are paid the set number of hours. it is an incentive to finish jobs quickly. Some mechanics are able to make 100 hours of pay in a 40 hour work week.
So are you W-2 employees?? I don't get why it's not a straight hourly rate if you're there for an entire shift every day.
@deirdrekiely6187 it's called the flat rate system. If a job is quoted at 8 hours and you finish it in 5, you still get 8 hours. Conversely, if it pays 8 hours and it takes you 12, you still only get 8 hours. We're w2 employees that are paid off of efficiency.
@@deirdrekiely6187 I personally am not, but my best friend is and that is how it worked at the dealer he was at.
I'm familiar with that, but why does he have to buy his own tools? I assumed these tools he was buying was for home projects
@@brimmed The reason why, I dont know, but it is also standard for mechanics to buy their own tools. My friend had a $10k tool box and thousands in other tools. I guess it is so you aren't careless about your own tools on the job?
Where I work, the factory workers buy their own tools, but if they break under normal circumstances at work, then the company will replace it for them. I dont know if mechanic shops are the same way
"And all it takes is one day to not be". Caleb I love you, never change
Funny how he left WA to shield his child from bad behavior and environment, yet he and his fam don’t appear to be very upstanding people. He does “seem” like a nice guy on the surface. Basically, “wherever you go, there you are” applies here, and the fact that he has no idea what all of those Google charges are for, is mind boggling. Two random Google charges appeared on my account and I immediate called the bank , had my card cancelled and the bank removed the charges.
This guy blew up his whole life over BLM riots....wtf. 😮
That is funny. He left a good job probably a good house. To move back with his family who sound very shady. The fact that he's so bad with finances makes me 100% believe his mom is horrible at finances and she's pocketing the money. I know I can't trust my family I've known that since they took my savings that I had built up from working from 14. Now that I'm an adult and have kids I keep my kids as far away from them as I can because I know they're a bad influence.
I'm assuming it's the fiance buying gems on mobile games or some crap like that.
@ramblingmillenial1560 that’s exactly what I thought when I saw all them google charges
All those Google micro transactions might be mobile app games 😬😬😬
Probably someone from the household does in-app purchases linked to his account
Mobile homes go down in value, because they are built cheap and cannot get conventional loans. Modular homes are built to the level of stick built homes and can absolutely be used to get a cheaper, yet custom home. It gets confusing.
Those google transactions? Someone has a phone game addiction
I really want to know why google is charging him a couple times a week.
It's his wife. My ex would constantly run charges up on mobile games and just hope I didn't notice. Like $70 or more a month. I wish I got out sooner, I'd be much richer....
Exactly what I was going to say! That is 100% mobile game chargers!

As a wife of a mechanic, I totally get where this guy is coming from! Tools are a necessity for this job and most places wont provide or even give compensation for the tools! But my favorite part is him saying " They drive around with flashy tools saying hey man you can get this tool for only $30 a month!" My husband has definitely fell for that trap and years later he finally leaned his lesson! Nobody wants to be paying more for a tool bill than their mortgage!
Can you claim them back on tax as work expenses?
@@BeczaBot I'm not sure! that is a good idea and we've never tried that before! I wonder if you have to spend so much in a year for it to even be worth claiming. And im not sure how it works if you have a tool loan vs buying outright?
I absolutely hate how predatory tool trucks are.
@@BeczaBotnot unless you are self employed
@@BeczaBot You have to spend over 25k where we live to claim them 🙃
I wanted to elaborate on the pay structure for mechanics… My husband has been a professional diesel mechanic for about 12 years. Some places do the general pay by the hour … But a lot of these companies have gone to “book time.”
Meaning, a job at work is listed in the books to take 2 hours. You get paid $25 hourly, so you made $50 for that job even if you finished it in 1 hour or 4 hours.
This works out really well for mechanics when they are quite busy, because they can overlap time, to a limit, and get paid for more hours than they technically were there.
It does not work well when times are slow. This means you can show up to work and if there’s nothing to do, you didn’t get any money. This has happened to my husband before and we did not like it at all so he got a new job with the old-fashioned by the hour principal.
I wouldn’t mind the book time thing if they had a guaranteed pay per day (apparently some places do) even if there wasn’t work. It just doesn’t seem right that you show up to work and there’s nothing for you to do so you don’t get paid.
Poor guy is about 2 years away from being divorced, paying alimony and child support.
The lady is his girlfriend, not his wife.
The girlfriend can get child support and I might lose 401k since it TX, if they live together they can be considered married for X years

I'm sorry but even if that mobile home was 200,000(EXTREMELY unlikely in a rural area) $1200 to pay for HALF of it is a scam. There is no way. If the home costs the average 70,000 the monthly payment would be around $500, plus whatever the lot rent his friend charged. Likely only a few hundred. Mom was raking it in. Even $600 a month is too much. She's clearly taking advantage of him.
Edit: his mom is scamming him. She's using him to fund her being able to buy a nice car while he pays for everythjng else.

Caleb is spot on, him and his partner need to go to counseling. From his reaction to when Caleb said they may not be compatible really indicates that this is a convenience relationship. It’s convenient for her to not work and spend money, and for him to have his family and daycare taken care of. I definitely could be wrong, but I don’t think a man who thought they were with the right person would respond with “maybe” to that comment. If it ain’t a hell yes it’s a hell no.
I agree. If I was the fiancé, this video would make it very clear that the relationship was only for the sake of the baby on his end. I can’t see this ending well at all if she’s under the impression they are in love and he is happy for her to be at home (at the beginning of the episode he said he told her he was happy for her to be a SAHM). While I know people are getting on her in the comments, I think the mam may actually be the key factor in their struggle atm. He can’t support four people.
This one is sooo frustrating to me. This is exactly why I won’t put a house on someone else’s land or even share a well. (I won’t do a manufactured home because they only decrease in value and are a pain to move). You don’t need expensive tools to start. I hate buying cheap but I don’t buy anything I can’t pay for. SOMEONE is clearly playing a game with their phone. PlayStation is cheaper if you pay for the year, and they give discounts multiple times through the year.
I have a buddy who I’ve tried setting up with a job. He complained a lot about his work situation, hours are just dwindling and he’s not willing to do anything about it. I helped with his resume, I had a full proof office job making $50k Cad for him but he refused. Didn’t want to take the 2 days of training I was going to give him for free and apparently the 1 hour bus ride was too long. Alright, so working a shit job at $20K is better apparently. So I gave up after 5 attempts to set him up. There was always an excuse. Too much labour, not enough labour, too little pay, too far, no car, etc. at a certain point I think you just gotta let people drown. Now this guy on the other hand is the polar opposite. He’s a hard worker trying to keep others afloat. And that’s the kind of person that deserves all of the help.
Also Caleb, I don’t think those google charges are subscription. Based on the fact that they are such little amount, it seems like the wife might be paying for in app purchases. Candy crush, clash of clans, that kind of stuff.
Thank you, Caleb, for showing us reality. I am addicted to your UA-cam channel. It has helped me take control of my finances. The only debt I have is a student loan. I am starting to understand how we are being fucked over by banks, car dealers, insurance, etc.
The system is designed to keep you on a debt hamster wheel
Poor decisions and the lack of support from his mom and fiancé is killing the future that he wants to give his daughter. I really hope turns things around, I’m wishing him the best.
He doesn't even know where his money goes
@@johnengland8619
Well like another comment said it might be the fiance spending money on phone games. He might not have any clue, wife wont tell him.
As someone who works in retail banking these episodes are so cathartic. We deal with these situations daily, and I wish more people would actually come in and talk with a banker about their problems. There are so many under utilized services to help financial situations and apply a lot of what Caleb talks about before it gets to this level of chaos.
Just wanted to say I’ve been mass consuming your content for the last few days and I paid off the only debt I had (other than student loans, I’m still in school) and opened a fizz card! Love your channel!
I love the new breakdown of the month-by-month pay off of the debt. Definitely would help for those that actually want to do better so they can look back and see where you suggested they put their money.
This man and his wife are condemning their child to extremely hard circumstances.
Some people should not have children and/or should not until they are financially sound.
I would like to give this defense, he himself was that child. His mother needing to live with them shows that. It's a horrible cycle but he certainly did not start it.
I really appreciate you adding the Financial Roadmap section, I'm sure it helps the guests on the show see what progress they're supposed to have done by certain timeframes, and it's presented visually as well
"Now, I don't know what a UA-cam *'notification bell'* is, Bobby... but I swear if this Caleb Hammer guy disrespects my tools again, I'm gonna kick the notification bell on his ass, i tell ya h'what..."
That fiancé is sitting at home playing Google games all day on his dime is why she doesnt want to work and doesn't cook and he doesn't even see it.
I start my mornings with Caleb on Financial Audit days, but this one is stressing me OUT! He has so many things being charged and he doesn't know what it is. The $150 just killed me. He's so laid back and I'm POSITIVE there is a lot he didn't tell us. But learning Monster is good for cleaning stainless steel...😳
Coca-Cola for chrome! Game changer
Weak acids yummy
The thing is you can buy a giant can of barkeepers friend for like $2!!! It works incredible and is so much less expensive
Facts. Had a wife who didn’t want to work or keep the household together and we didn’t have kids together. And she always complained about us not having enough money. Needless to say she got dropped and now she realizes the grass isn’t greener on the other side and she had a good lifestyle. 😂
I hate that for you. Good luck out there
sorry that you had a divorce. that's really sad.
.. what did she do all day then? At least with kids I understand the stay at home thing, but she just like hung out all day...?
@@BeautifulSilence hangout and complain. And she was bored so she went behind my back. That was the last thing I was willing to work on. Made my exit. And I am happy again enjoying all my finances to myself debt free and saving especially now years later I am doing great in my career.
Big wake up. You don't owe these adults
Love the plan being put on the screen! More work for your editor but it really helps us follow along and for the people on the show!
As a car enthusiast and someone who works on his own cars, them tools are NICE I personally won’t go into debt for em but I’ve collected some snap on sets from friends and they’re so nice I can totally see how people get wrapped into it
If mechanics wouldn't let themselves be suckered into going into insane debt for tools the tool companies would be forced to sell they're tools at more reasonable prices.
Same with the cost of college lol
my friend bought most of his tools at garage sales, estate sales, and online (used).
*their* tools ..... not they're
There are lots of reasonably priced tools out there there's no reason at all to spend this kind of money on toys. The tool trucks know the average intelligence of a mechanic at a shop and they pray on them with these payment plans.
To many buy the tools based off the name on them seen to many people buy a expensive tool just to have the name when they can buy it somewhere else for cheaper
His mother is paying nothing... the $1200 likely covered the cost of the mobile home and then he pays for ALL groceries?! What leeches
They are all irresponsible
This guy needs to take his tools and start a side hustle fixing cars for cash. On top of his day job. And if he got a LLC he can write off his tools.
I think he could write them off anyway
you can
@@lewishein1337you use to be able to but its a lot harder now to write off tools
Unless he spends more than the standard deduction, itemizing dosen't make sense.
Caleb thank you for bringing up how contribution is important, even if it’s not necessarily monetary. You can cook, prepare meals, clean the home, grocery shop, even do yard work. Do something that helps out the home! Do the laundry, dishes, take care of the pets. Do all the things that the person working cannot do while they are at work. I cannot understand these significant others who stay at home BUT also don’t contribute to the home in any way shape or form. If you are stay at home your work is IN the home. You don’t get a free pass for your ass (😂😂😂🤣) to sit all day and do nothing. Those are the same people who when the partner gets home from their job wants the partner to do all the housework and handle dinner when the SAH partner had all day.
Exactly. I'm a sahp, but I pay the bills and childcare when I do a few hours work a day. He pays everything else. On the 5 days I'm not working I run the house. He only has to help on the weekend, and I'm talking basic tidying, odd lunch prep so I can relax a little too.
People really need to stop having kids if they can not afford it. That is the biggest money and time suck.
Took a 70k paycut to take care of his mom who is in massive debt all because he was scared of a riot? This guy will need a 2nd full-time job just to pay off what he owes, let alone support 4 people. You can barely support yourself on $25/hour.
Drinking my coffee and watching a new financial audit >
Time to go through all my credit card accounts and pay some stuff 😌
All??? U should have one card with all the perks and use only that card responsibly....
This dude is in an industry where 6 figures is really easy to make. Im in the collision industry. If you are a body tech, you have a license to print money lol.its a super in demand job this dude can easily make 8-9k a month take home. Also lots of cities offer bonuses for techs 5-10k starting bonus, full benefits, 401k etc
Does this guy look like he knows how to make wise financial decisions?
@deirdrekiely6187 yeah,no lol. But he can just stay at work more, but he probably will just end up spending it.
@distrobrapper you are 100% right
A piece of advice, don't buy things together unless you are married. The same applies to having kids.
Oops
rooting for you!! Do it for you and your daughter because down the road that might be who's left that matters anyway..and that is okay.
He should really get into selling propane and propane accessories
Loving the monthly progress breakdowns at the bottom of the screen. Makes it really easy to visualize the goals. Nice work guys! Keep it up! ❤
I’m liking the on-screen graphic of the month to month plan. Makes it easier to follow 👍🏽
"Forgets to bring lunch" wife is a sahm and cant even contribute to the finances by saving this guy at least some money by making his lunch. Some people are so selfish i swear
I was wondering the same thing, it literally takes me five minutes to make my fiancé a lunch. We also go to dollar tree to get the food for it.
If fiancé can’t agree to his terms of getting out of debt, then unfortunately he needs to put brakes on any “marriage” talk and he needs to budget child support int lo his plan. IMO the child would end up in a better place than in a household with huge debt and all of the related drama that normally comes with it. This is a prime example of why you need to be very selective with who you engage in actions that will alter your life FOREVER. I didn’t have a child until I was forty, because I couldn’t find a woman that I was willing to take a chance with. I made sure I used protection, even with those claiming to be “taking care of it” themselves”. Too many instances where they really don’t.
Thanks for the awesome and constant content. I’ve been focusing on paying off my debts and watching your videos keeps me motivated to keep going! ✌️
I’m kind of curious if any of these riots actually affected him. There’s a certain segment of the population that lives like 50 miles from an event that happened in a specific neighborhood and then they go, “time to flee to a small town in rural Texas to cut my income in half.”
Edit: I was wrong he cut his salary to less than 1/3 of his original salary.
they almost certainly did not
@@gb-wj7dg My in laws live in the city of Chicago and a few years ago there were riots. At the time they were nervous about property damage to their home but decided to go participate in a lot of the protesting. So I have a decent idea what went on. Since then it’s fallen off and I think all of us basically have forgotten about it. Except my coworker in rural Wisconsin regularly talks about it and it might be one of the most pressing issues in his mind.
Same thing happened here in Minnesota. People who live way outside the city still are legitimately afraid of going to the area where riots happened where I'm just going to get my hair cut and grabbing some pizza there like completely normal.
Right like I live in Austin, there were protests every day for the entire summer of 20’. I just… didn’t go downtown by the police station? Idk man it’s weird to me too.
I think you nailed it. Reeks of being too online. While the PNW has a similarly high cost of living and taxes, the wages are SO much lower in Texas. He's learning the hard way.
No way in hell this guy made enough to live near the “riots” comfortably. Definitely lived in the rural areas and was safe.
Why the scare quotes
@@MimiRAM0NE Because there aren't any riots here. He left because the news scared him.
Baffling decision
@MimiRAM0NE cause he saw a couple news headlines and immediately got out of there and lost on according to him $70,000 a year which is absolutely absurd and seriously kinda worrying. No one with a good state of mind does that.
@neebuandsocanyou7557 Pretty sure the news said everything was peaceful despite there being riots. Everyone saw the videos on Twitter though, why gaslight?
So glad you added the monthly timeline on screen. Makes it easier to follow
“I’m an experienced rider”
“You’re and experienced Arby’s eater”
Hammer, you are a wordsmith. Keep up the great work!!
The way I cackled 😂😂😂😂
Taking a pay cut to move away from protests that hardly affect you Is crazy
That’s what I was thinking, very short sighted and impulsive. Realistically… no one is going to mess with your baby.
Lol I said the same thing. and he said he was from Washington, not even Portland, so the reason makes even less sense. He's BSing and it was probably for political reasons (thought he'd be more comfortable in a 'small' conservative place) or because it was cheaper
Yeah, that came off as a crazy reason to uproot because you can't realistically move everytime the news reports something in your area. Definitely short sighted
No . I would leave too. I am not going to wait for the rioters, these were not protest, To be at my door step. I am going to leave ahead of time. You literally the meme with the dog in the burning house saying this is fine.
@@a.alphonso6193this is exactly what it was. He could have easily moved outside of Seattle into a smaller town and just commuted to work in the city that would have been significantly better. I have to bet he’s a little right wing and spent to much time reading garbage online and thought a small Texas conservative town would be better. Ironically these towns are generally poor.
Hank would never put Peggy and Bobby in a situation like this.
Yeah, but Cotton would.
"You're a professional Arby's eater" 😂😭 Caleb's too quick with it
Snap-On is great quality but crazy expensive. How they get students/mechanics is by showing them these super high quality and shiny tools trying to convince students to get the whole set (because they will pressure you to go all in) by offering to put everything on credit and that’s usually AFTER you’ve maxed out your student loans. In other words, do not do it if you can’t afford it.
Just so you’re aware, SoFi recently increased the APR for their savings account to 4.5% a few days ago. Love the content and keep up the great work!
A mechanic getting paid $25 per hour seems unusually low. He’s skilled and a hard worker, he needs to demand his net worth which will help his financial situation a lot.
Especially if he working at the likely only auto shop in the town.
Terrell’s not a super small town, he could be making more just by the fact there’s more business coming in
@teqnify63 oh dang. At 25 an hour I assumed it was a dead end town.
Location is a big factor
He's also only getting paid x amount of hours per job. So maybe 2 hours ($50) for a brake job. He'd be better off putting his skillset to work doing odd jobs in his neighborhood for extra cash. Local shop wanted $580 just to do the rears on my wife's Subaru. I got rotors and pads for all 4 corners for $354 and took me about 3 hours in my driveway. I'm sure he could charge $300 for the labor to do a brake job like that and people would pay it easily
Those Google charges are 100% his fiancée sitting at home all day buying fuckin gems for Candy Crush....
The ice cream truck tool sales thing is gaining popularity here too! Not many places allow for payment plans on tools and they offer really nice brands and warranty. Kinda sad I had no idea people went into debt for it like this
The absolute GLEE on my face when Caleb brought up Costco. 😂 He should seriously push these people who like having random subscriptions/memberships to have one to Costco (or Sam’s / BJ’s). Can’t beat a $5 rotisserie chicken, all the taquitos, energy drinks or coffee to bring to work. (Costco’s orange chicken SLAPS too if someone needs to dump their Panda Express fix.) Totally save on diapers & toiletries too.
Love Costco
The money you save on toiletries alone is amazing
I'm only 7 minutes in but like 3 minutes ago I was thinking "Damn this man sounds EXACTLY like Hank Hill" and I'm so glad it was brought up a few minutes later lololol
Man, the sequel to Financial Audit, Financial Audig, is incredibly riveting. Season 2 truly started with a bang.
What is that where can I find it?
Caleb really latched on to the taquito thing from that one guy lmao
Haha yeah it really struck a nerve
I kind of like that it took on its own meaning lol. Now it just means small unnecessary purchases and snacks from gas stations and convenience stores. He should get Taquito merch made 😅
Haha! Definitely!
People get sucked into tool debt because its a status thing. You get into a shop and everyone has nice tools and nice boxes and you want that too. Then they offer it to you at $50 a week and it starts to sound reasonable. Before you know it you owe them your whole paycheck
Yes it takes restraint and he has non. He is a junk food addict and terribly irresponsible with money.
These situations are so tough. It's absolutely vital to have the conversation around money when it comes to potential partners. Roughly 40% of divorce is caused by financial infidelity, so it's important to understand where both parties are on the topic of money.
Grown up ice cream truck with convenience items would be SIIIICK!! Great venture idea! 💡
Especially with the title of the episode, he is going to have to be SUPER delicate on how he brings up the money issue with his wife. At best, all the the google payments are from her mobile games, and then she'll turn around and say, "My spending doesn't compair to yours!"
He has the PSN , tickets for stupidity not adding mirrors to the motorcycle (because he "bought it that way" ), the money dumped into all those tools that he either didnt need, or didn't need the newest model of, the truck that keeps breaking down, near infinite "taquitos".
Dont get me wrong a strict budget needs to happen and they need to be on the same page, but he'd better come correct, or it could get ugly super fast.
She should be sitting there with him. How is he sitting alone without mom and GF?
Tuesday,Thursday,Saturday and Sunday are the worst days of the week. No financial audits 😢
Been watching Caleb since pre 56k subs. Since then I have payed off my CC debt & a small collections boosting my FICO score 800+. I have taken control of my spending, built up an emergency fund & saving as well. Never knew anything about HYSA until he has been mentioning SoFi & I am seriously considering transferring my saving there as I plan to buy a house in 3 years.
Don't wait, get that HYSA! The APR fluctuates and this isn't going to last forever before it goes back to 2 or 3%
I've earned $80 in interest since March; with my credit union I was getting 2 cents a month. It's worth it
Edit: I'm not with SoFi so don't forget to look at the fine print.
@@debbieharris1628 I love my credit union but I called them yesterday & my current regular savings is 0.17% accrued interest rate, so nothing. They have another one that I could open but that's only 3.5%. I hate to move my money out of my credit union because their app si great and all my stuff is connected to it but that HYSA with SoFi is tempting...
@@debbieharris1628 Ended up going with Discover as I already have an account with them, they don't require direct deposit, have an initial deposit sign on bonus, and were only .1% less than SoFi.
Kudos to your editor! I really like the little visual timeline that's been added when you're talking about paying off the debts. Really cool!
Buddy of mine just bought an 18,000.00 tool chest...but he assures me he got a steal on it at 9,000.00. His reasoning was its a limited edition & it has RGB lights 😂
I’ll bet he works with a bunch of other guys who peer pressured him into an obscenely overpriced Snap-On tool chest. Then of course you have to fill it with $25K in matching tools. I wish I had invested more in the older Craftsman tools when they were made in the USA and sold exclusively at Sears. I have a few that I inherited from my Dad and they are high quality.
I feel like for yours and our mental health we need someone doing especially well just once in awhile.
love this new Financial Audig series!
Thanks!
Is audig a typo or is it different from financial audit?
Loving the addition of the breakdown of the timeline for the plan! Your channel gets better and better ❤
Being the sole provider and taking complete responsibility for everyone will eventually lead to resentment. You and your girlfriend can't afford for her to be a stay-at-home Mom right now. She needs to get at least a part-time job. There are many remote positions available.
This dudes problem is he's not the Man of his house. He is supporting everyone, and they won't even tell him how they are spending his money.
Why possibly does no one check their bank statements regularly? They always have no clue what half the charges are for.
I find that puzzling mate. My dad taught me to check my bank statements, credit card, email, mail, tracking for letters, and delivery status daily.
It takes me all of 15 minutes to log in as my coffee brews and I can plan out my day. By forcing yourself to add another task to your daily checklist shows you're capable of sticking to long term plans and consistency.
