Mainly for games that utilise CPU over GPU (Rust, CSGO/2, Warframe, Valheim)
Im a little skeptical about the 1440p nitro display as laptop 3070ti will not get anywhere near 165fps at 1440p at most games, might just tune it down to 1080 in-game, but then I am worried the image quality will suffer compared to 1080p on 1080p monitor. All three are 17.3in and the 400USD difference with Legion and the two others is not a major concern, I dont mind paying a bit more, as I usually keep laptops for a good few years.

Honestly 3070ti is significantly faster but 4060 is significantly cooler. It is such a tough choice as thermals matter a lot for laptops.

i dont know about yours but my Lenovo legion, which i forgot the series, uses 3070ti and didnt go loud if I'm using quiet mode, maybe that "loud" thing still depends on your cooling system of your laptop

I went with 3070 ti instead of the 4060 on my laptop, cause everything I read made it seem the diffrence would be negligible and I wasn't willing to spend more money on the 4070, I went from an 8th gen i7 to 12th gen i7 I don't think I'm missing out on anything with the 13th gen i7 battery life wasn't my concern on this laptop it's really a stay home unit I just don't have the space for a desktop

Asus tuf cause good CPU and slightly less powerful GPU
The ram is the main problem in acer nitro 5 because it is single channel and causes cpu bottleneck
The acer nitro is also rocking a 165hz qhd display with 100% srgb. And since its a single stick of 16gb ddr 4 memory, you can upgrade to 32 gigs of ram

Most people watching this are basically wondering about whether to buy Acer Nitro 5 or Lenovo LOQ.
Nitro 5 comes with i7 12650H, RTX 3070Ti, 16 GB RAM (DDR4), 15.6 QHD IPS Anti-glare panel 45% NTSC.
Lenovo LOQ comes with i7 13620H, RTX 4060 (115W TGP), 16 GB RAM (DDR5 @5200 MHz), 15.6 QHD IPS Anti-clare panel 100% sRGB.
LOQ will provide you a better cooling than Nitro 5. Nitro series of Acer provides poor cooling.
Nitro 5 will give you somewhat better gaming performance (+5-10 FPS) depending on the game.
Optimization for RTX 4060 will be prioritized over RTX 3070Ti by nVidia due to it being a newer gen GPU.
LOQ has DDR5 ram support.
LOQ has a much better display (100% sRGB vs 45% NTSC, wider color gamut, games will look MUCH MUCH better, trust me)
LOQ is also 15k INR more expensive than Nitro 5.
LOQ has a better CPU, however during gaming GPU matters the most.
I think Nitro 5 has a better battery life than LOQ since LOQ has 60 wH battery, but I don't count this (personally), as a major factor while deciding, maybe for you it matters.
I decided to buy LOQ because I could afford to pay an extra 15k for getting a much cooler option. For 1.14 lakh, I was getting Lenovo LOQ (16 inch variant), RTX 4060, i7 13620H, 1 TB Gen4 M.2 NVME SSD (TLC), 16 inch screen with QHD support, anti glare, IPS panel with 100% sRGB. The most important part, included in this 1.14 lakh, I also got extended 2 year warranty with a 3 year additional laptop protection. I don't mind losing 5-10 FPS, I will just drop some settings here and there and balance the lost FPS. What I want is a laptop which doesn't get as hot as a frying pan, which the LOQ does pretty well.
Also, I am writing this in an Acer Predator Helios 300 (i5 8300H + GTX 1050Ti), bought this in 2017, it's a good laptop but then again, Lenovo's cooling system is far more better than Acer's. Both the laptops are a good choice, make the decision based on what YOU want. Do not be fooled when xyz person says "3070Ti is x times better or 4060 is y times more power efficient so buy this buy that", there is more to laptops than just graphics card.

Nitro 5 is FAR better for both single player and multiplayer games. The 95w rtx 3060 in the nitro 5 will leave the 6gb 3050 in the dust.

3070ti in this specific laptop (full watts) is 9-13% faster than a 4060. If anyone cares to know this is the difference in FPS when you factor in dlss 3 the 4060 is a way better value
4060 not only is cooler it also improves the performance with the IA using DLSS 3.0 But yes in brute power is inferior, but the final result are more fps and cooler temps.

3070 ti is better for raw performance
I’ve come to the conclusion of you can’t jump up to at least the 4080 cars and you have a graphics card to a 3070ti or higher, stick with the card you got. The performance gains are nominal if any at all with the lower end 40 cards and absolutely not worth the money just to upgrade to ddr6 either. This will not be applicable for several more years just like ddr4 and ddr5 which is still being perfected.
There is not much benefit at this time and if nvidia prioritize previous gen graphics cards like amd did then the previous card will still be even more viable. Be happy with what you got and if you are watching this to decide between the two, save yourself some extra cash with the 3070ti and get yourself a lot more space with a new ssd or even more ram. Much more worth it than jumping to the 40 series.

Alienware has some serious quality control issues. So I'd say go with the legion. Also, look at the nitro 5, might be cheap in your place for the 3070ti model.

@@mananrathod8078 Ryzen runs hotter than intel. Its a fact. If the 7840hs uses 35w and the i7 13700 was forced to use 35w, the i7 13700h would run cooler. However, the i7 uses more power thus runs at similar temps to the ryzen and would perform about the same.
Also, intel can use its iGPU to record gameplay meaning its good for streaming, better than ryzen. And it can accelerate some tasks via the iGPU. Again, useful for work.

3070ti is fit for you who not up to date about nowadays games, because several popular older AAA game doesn't have feature like frame gen. Keep in mind 4060 mostly fit in 1080p with frame gen on if u want to play up to date games

Difference is a lot. Especially games with no frame generation which covers the majority of the games in the last 10 years, I would suggest you to get 3070ti Nitro 5. I have the same laptop, and my friend got the 4060 asus tuf. The games he is playing mostly are no frame generation supported and he complains about his choice.

For people in the comments talking about thermals, the first laptop is the acer nitro 5, it has bad thermals, the second on is the predator helios which has good thermals, hence the temp difference. You give the same gpu to the helios and it'll cool it better than the nitro 5

The problem in this kind of test is both are in different pc, so you can say 3070 ti is better but have higher temperature but we dont know if was cause the gpu itself or cause the laptop design.

At that point get Loq that has 4060 with 13/7 gen cpu and of you wanna have more battery life get something like msi cyborg, both has one of the cheapest price to performance, those things cost 1450-1500 irl with warranty, so since where around the region with same market, kinda want to suggest something, I bought a legion slim 5 gen 8 instead for 1529 usd, it's good looking slim and has 4060, bought mine irl and has 3 year warranty, just if you want to waste bit more money, also faster than loq, but probably on par rogs, is just that rog has better spec, by that mean more expensive, strix a16 price is unstable and it's not popular to begin with, if can handle your device well, legion 5 gen 7 2022 version with 3070ti price should be around 1,3-1,4k usd irl new, it's just that most that still sells don't have warranty, can't trust destributor warranty that much so decided to get newer gen 8 models, also far faster CPU but won't matter much on games
