My main issue in SF6 (aside from being too lazy to train) is that I am too afraid to spent my drive rush bar and burn out. Like, I had to reach mid-diamond to start using drive rush. And now I got in Master and I realize that I don't really play SF6 but a slight variation of 5 and that won't really work there.
Watch some NoahTheProdigy, he constantly puts himself in burnout and still smothers his opponents. But also managing your Drive Gauge is a skill to be trained like everything else, you can surely find blockstrings and situations for your character that give you some gauge back. For example with Ken, I can do target combo to run tatsu for wall carry, or target combo to medium jinrai for a safe jump that (kinda) forces my opponent to block so I can recover my gauge.
when you burnout you have to fight with all your might! It happens...so you just have to get used to it. *burnout happens* am i under pressure? or....you are?
Do the combo trials for a character you're interested in (don't have to finish all of them). Dabble in arcade til you feel good and hit ranked. Don't worry about what your rank is and have fun, try to learn something from every match. Good luck!
i wanna get back into this game but i dont have a controller and playing stick is weird cause of the 6 buttons for me. also doing dr is weird for me, i try to do forward forward but i swear sometimes it doesnt work. and doing mk+mp is weird to me to lmao. might be a skill issue
@@yungwrld9923 Its honestly not bad, I am using regular full sized keyboard. I use WASD for movement and numpad for punches and kicks. Its basically leverless but if you are used to controllers it will be rough obviously.
I really like the foundation of sf6 so I still watch these videos but there is no character that grabs me (except when facing zangief. Ha ha.) Cant wait to make this my main game once someone I like releases.
I just hit gold, finally... Is it literally ALL Modern Ken and Cammy??? Literally all of them have been since passing the barrier, actually 9 sets in a row (not rounds, not games, but just matched up enemies)
I got Juri too Masters already. I just played a lot and just mixed ppl to death til I hit master. All of this just makes it easier. All of this is solid.
What's killing me is execution of movement and guess the defense, I just started playing ED because he's really fun to play, but I lose so many matches doing the wrong ,movement when I'm trying to do something else, then getting punished for it and not being able to close out fights because I guess blocking get thrown when parrying. The tools for practicing are great but it's intimidating to use because so many things are there. There's just a lot yo😂😂
How do I get u to critique me lol I’m new to fighting games but I been spamming level 8 CPUs lol and I got pretty good and I went on 15game win streaks up until I hit gold 3 but I think ima mid to high platinum rank player even tho I’m not there yet . But idk Justin is a legend I wuld love for him to shit on me 😂😂 how could I make tht happen?
It's easy. Just use all out offense. Pick a top tier that can abuse drive rush, use drive rush at the start of the match to immediately override footsies and easily begin offense, push them into the corner and 50/50 them till death, the end.

I’m having similar issues with DI…
You should definitely use a macro for drive rush/impact and not press two buttons. SF6 is really an 8 button game
