The overhead tech is really good for Jamie, cause he has a lot of ways to be plus enough that the incoming mixup is really awkward to deal with. Midscreen, he can get the delayed DR overhead with M DP, Breakdance, all of the P Rekka enders, L and M palm, and the safejump enders require the corner. If DR 6MK hits normally, you're +5, so you can link into Bitter Strikes. On CH, you can link into 2MP, and from there into bitter strikes, which you can DRC into the Shen Sao combo. On PC, you're +9, so you can link into 2HP, cancel into something like H palm or L Bakkai for damage and a safejump, (L bakkai is better.) Or you can link straight away into 2KK, from there, if you're in the corner you can do a bootleg Shen Sao and do 5HP > sweep, you can also do 5HP, cancel the first hit into drink and be +9, and it does NOT look like you should be plus.
I made a Master rank Chun Li player rage quit with that type of delayed overhead set up today. I'm Diamond 5 and I main Guile. Typical set up in the final round. I had 1 HP left + 2 DR Bars. He had about 30% HP left and was turtling my Booms across the screen. I had no viable option to go for, so I set up medium Cross and light Blade. I chassed after it with 2 Bazooka Knees and immediately followed wit empty light punch DR (which put me in burnout). He may have expected a Cr medium K, but I went balls to the wall and delayed my overhead to the last possible frame. I don't know what he was trying to react with but he pushed some button. My hit punish countered, so I followd up with My Cr medium P taget combo + Lvl 3 Critical Art. He rage quit before the kill.

People like to reversal DR after back throw as well. DI works in those cases as well. Also backwards moving specials can have interesting uses in these cases as well. I certainly hit DR, back teleport with akuma from time to time after back throw.
The drive rush throw thing I learned watching someone explain how broken/ viable Kimberly’s mix up was off of knock down. Honestly it’s definitely a good option. The drive rush di on the other hand I feel would have to come with a bit of conditioning tbh.
There are some oki scenarios where the offensive player has no way to get pressure without losing to reversals. For instance after m.bison's LV3, only Dr Throw will work. (Except for Ed bison can safe jab him with drive rush c.lp)
Ain't that crazy that this is almost a tier list with the DP Also Jamie is pretty much the opposite of JP at release no matter what they nerfed he is still have a loot of tools that work but Jamie no matter the buffs his tools suck and nerfing the command grab was unesesary I'll die on that boat
I always hate when im telling a buddy in gold play safer. Set stuff up. Dont just DI and ex everything. Then you tune into a pro match and these boys are just swinging hammers.
as someone that likes to do yolo hard reads, what I usually say is that you "gotta earn the yolo" Cuz when you think about it, the strong retarted plays usually counter super safe, super common tactics. Stuff like wake-up low forward or wake-up sweep beating shimmy for example, or people doing unsafe airborne moves to bait delay techs
Dr into block string that guarantees di connection is common af in low ranks... characters like bison with no real armor/ wake-up have to deal with that bs 24/7 its nothing new tbh

The drive rush delay overhead is very strong for Kimberly. Her overhead is a back input (Bhk) so it's a good way to block any reversal Dp attempts. 👍
