I follow so many gem/crystal/gold/rock prospectors on UA-cam and this is beautifully produced. I would say this is TV/Netflix quality, but I think UA-cam deserves this content. Even though I'm not a prospector or even a collector, you've managed to capture the excitement of finding these treasures and make it entertaining for the viewer. :) thanks

REALLY good production quality and I love to feel there is more of an edge, less "produced" feeling ..means you are making it look easy in an insane hard environment. The direction and comparison from any other show before this is WAY different and a massive improvement btw... AND the golden huge nugget of blue in the end is an awesome unicorn to have documented. Bravo.

LOVE your story of mining being in both sides of your family! I have never explored mining of gem stones and founding your videos so fascinating! Because my birthstone is Aquamarine (and I have been attracted to this stone but find it too pricey for the super high quality ones like you guys mine. However, having coming across HOW you guys mine them really opened up mind big time! In my younger days, I skiied, hiked, camped, climbed the Rockies, so no stranger to high elevations conditions combined short window of time you are faced with! So now I understand why the high quality ones are so pricey :))) … someday I WILL buy one from you guys! And love most the uncut raw clearest ones best! There is a Tahitian Pearl jeweler in Hale’iwa, Oahu who rarely drills into these gorgeous pearls. Instead, he sets them via tension. I have a beautiful Keshe pearl tension set via a flat gold spiral embracing it. So was thinking … because Aquamarine’s hardness is so high, it could also be tension set!

Blue Beryl is aquamarine, I would be interested in knowing what they consider the differences, and what that blue beryl means geologically. Great uploads, these are amazing.

Lovely video! What a joy to watch, but a little painful too, get those bamboo sticks in those pockets, so much easier to maneuver the loose mud and not damage the gems! Best of luck to you, and touch base if you ever have a place for an experienced loner!

22:27 is anyone else see that blue crystal has tiny hole on both up and down ...as when it is made to make a jewelry

appears to look like that but it could be a trick of light as it bounces inside the ends making a brighter spot appear? not 100% sure

It sure was clean considering it just got pulled out of a mountain side.

@@Scy I mean considering it is tiny, not buried but hidden in a crevice, and the exposure to the elements includes rain its not really a shocker.

It looks like internal cracks that are about parallel to the ends. Probably happened when the crystal originally broke.
