I really appreciate the complete absence of personal drama. The production quality is on par with cable tv, but I don't have to deal with the forced suspense of inter-personal conflicts that are pretty much standard on those types of show. Well done.
This is way better than anything on TV right now. Bravo for keeping the focus on the rocks and not the miner's lives. Everything I hate about reality TV you have avoided. Love this content!
I like the way everyone treats each other - as human beings, and with great respect. I also like the minerals you're digging up. As a mineral collector of 60 plus years, I can only envy what y'all have at your calloused fingertips. Much respect for your hard work and group effort!!!
You gave me hope Tracie after a pedestrian vs. vehicle accident Dec 2018 at near retirement age ,rock hounding has always been a passion since my uncle brought us up to Ruby Mt as children all we found was Apache tears. Seeing you up there gives me renewed hope that I can still play on the mountain as soon as I can walk better.
Thats such a blessing to hear. Thank you for sharing your story as well. I would love to dig with you. Please keep in contact and lets make that happen. Never ever give up and stay positive and the possibilitys are endless.
Aquamarine is my absolute favorite. I have a beautiful pear shaped Aquamarine pendant that I can’t let go of. It’s my favorite piece. I have a super old ring set with a Ruby that’s a close second but that icy blue just sings to my soul.
Aquamarine is my birthstone. I have a couple of pieces of Aqua jewelry, but I honestly never thought about where it came from or how difficult it was to find. Thank you for this video. I have a new appreciation for them!
A tip from crystal digger to another, try using reinforcing walls to keep the scree in check. I have been digging crystals for just over 10 years now, including Aquamarine, Fluorite, Opal, Quartz crystals, Tourmaline, Amazonite and Topaz. Also I use a wooden dowel for probing clay seams, its more effective then having to hand rinse the surface; just collect everything crystal like and sort it off site.
@@rivchick I have, not recently... I have been digging double terminated quartz crystals out of sandstone vugs as of lately. For the more exotic minerals it's been a few years: Topaz/Fluorite/Beryl/Kyanite 2011 Opal with fire, 2012 Amazonite/Tourmaline 2015 Double Terminated Quartz and Epidote crystals almost every year (including last month). To the reason for the wooden dowel is to probe clay vugs without breaking the crystals (used to use a screwdriver with distorious results, broke a golf ball sized double term). As for the onsite vs offsite washing, I just collect all the clay "gumballs" I find and wash them when I get home/to-camp. Its more time efficient then burning daylight on the side of mountain. PS: All the sites I have dug are in British Columbia, Canada.

Hey Prisilla, they are coming up to our site because we are exposing permafrost, liken and minerals. We are giving them nourishment and have co existed for about 25 years.
