I don’t know how I only just found this series but it’s so good! I’m so glad there’s a lot more of it to watch. I’m so glad Tracie is okay, she’s a very strong woman. Thank you for making this series, can’t wait to see the rest!
I'm no miner but I am a Jeeper, and the road up Mount Antero is one of the most spectacular Jeep trails I've driven. I guess we have you folks to thank for building that road and making sure the Forest Service keeps it open. Thanks for doing that and helping to ensure this spectacular mountain remains open to public access.
What bravery, after such a horrific accident, to get back up there and get back to mining!! She's got some grit about her!!! Great Aquamarine series btw
Love the back story how your grandfather pioneered and created a lifeline for so many families, and the surveys which gave back to your country -patriotism at its finest. Wish i lived in the states so i could see first hand the geography where you work and maybe visit your store. Family business is the only business to be in, thats why im doing what im doing gives me something to pass on to my little ones 💯. Best of luck in your future endeavours, and i wish your wife a speedy recovery (probably years behind lol)
I got here watching mining docs in Africa, South America and the Naica giant crystals in Mexico. Pictures of the Naica crystals next to a 6' man are incredible. Anyway, I'm here to watch this adventure unfold. Those Mt goats were like give me your lunch.
I too love this series. The people are real with real problems and real accomplishments. They are a tough breed to work in such a place that is both beautiful and dangerous. The director and cameramen are brave as well to be filming in this harsh environment and we appreciate and it adds another level of awe to the show. So glad to see the show is continuing. Keep them coming!!
I value my aquamarine pieces so much more as I watch all the work that it takes to get them out of the ground. Phenomenal glimpse into your world! Thank you for that!
I love this series, not just bc of the beautiful aqua but the way the dude and his wife Tracy are together and the way the guy treats his workers to me from what I can see he is a good leader and takes care of them
I really enjoyed this series, the quality of it was so professional and it was really interesting to learn more about where these gems come from--I'd love to follow the lives of these Prospectors the other half of the year when the season is done. My favorite was watching the smaller two-man teams such as Ian/Jason their ethics on the outdoors and wildlife is to be admired.
just found this channel tonight and wow I’m really impressed by the production level, I’d expect this from something on the discovery channel! everyone on the team is so fun to watch
I am so sad ... I waisted 57 years , when I could have done this .... I'm just so sick to my tummy , thank you for posting this amazing life you share with us , thank you ... my Goal : next life ...do this .
Ian and Jason, I like how you both get excited for each other and share in finding aqua and how happy and positive you both are. Aquamarine is my birthstone and I love it. Thanks guys for mining it!
Thank you so much Teresa for the comment, and for watching. We are very honored and excited to work for the Cardwell family. And with that being said, we are very happy. my buddy and I just have a lot of love for life in general. And with that love for life and opportunities we carry that with us wherever we go. We get so excited and so happy to find anywhere between tiny millimeter stones to inch stones.. we are just energetic type.. And with a short window of time to spend on that mountain. all we have is 3 or 4 months. So we work hard to find such great stones and it is truly fun and hard work. If you are ever in Colorado and you would like some aqua go to the beautiful town of Buena Vista Colorado and on main street there is a shop called Mount Antero Treasures on Main Street. They have all kinds of Jewelry in Aquamarine you can imagine. Or you can also get a hold of Ian and I to get some as well. We are all on Facebook 😁. Thanks again so much for the love and watching!
Gem mining for a living is such hard work but sooo amazing and pays off when you put the work in. Would love to be a full time miner one day in my life!
Really enjoying this series and seeing where these beautiful gems come from. Side note. Glad your wife made it out of that. Talk about a walking miracle 👐
Gosh Traci I feel for you. Getting out there is probably your best way to heal emotionally. Drink up the love and support and feel your strength grow. Wishing you a merry Christmas and a most excellent new year.
Watched the first episode and I was like woohoo new show to watch and then discovered only 2 episodes so far. Keep them coming please! Love the first two!
So happy that you guys make these!!! Its super well done and just so amazing to see the digging and learn the history, thank you!!! Its a dream to dig on Mt Antero:)
I really miss all the people and gem hunters from the Weather Channel show, Prospectors! It's been years since they canceled that show due to the cost of producing it. That was a very sad year for my reality TV but to have stumbled onto this channel and know that you guys were in that series, I am on cloud NINE!
St Elmos Fire......back in the 70's I used to work for the USFS and trail maintenance on Mt Princeton/Harvard/Yale....next valley north....thunderstorm....hit the dirt.....bouncing over our heads. Nice to see these specials and I enjoy....I lived and grew up in Poncha Spgs......no more shoveling snow for me! Az Desert now.....thx....glad to see you recovering from the accident! I still think of going to Ruby Mtn in the good old days and getting Rubies and Teardrops.
I react the way these miners do when I find quartz, fossils, holy stones and heart rocks.. more than I can count. It's great fun for all concerned...especially a family outing.
I haven't watched this program for more then a year now but each time I do watch it I envy you guys, I often wish we had the freedom of choice here in NZ but this is no where I live. Is there any reason why you don't build a tepary upper base from where you can stay longer on the mines and spend less time traveling up and down that track daily.
Watching often goldrush, Aussie opal hunters. But your videos belong on that list also. So real and exciting to watch. I hope the videos will boost your store sales and open new futures, i think people would pay to prospect alongside you guys. I hope all is well and more videos will be out soon.
Thanks for the upload :) Great work on the video and production i am so glad to live in a time where content like this is available for us who love to learn and might never get a chance to do myself
Take a very soft bristled brush with you, it's a good way to GENTLY remove the water (Big Boy) so you can see what you are dealing with before you run your hands across it, I'd love to see what the lay of the minerals is before you start taking them out. And I believe a gentle brush will allow you to see the blue in the mud. Good pockets are so rare, but good pictures of them (the pockets in situ) are equally rare and good for mineralogical studies!
Awesome finds i really, really, really wish i could be there to help and have that experience and check that off my bucket list. and i am extremely happy that Tracy is doing great on her Recovery and being able to get back on the mountain and do what she loves. i have been really Inspired on what you do please don't stop i want to see more. thank you
oh god, i can't tell how much i would love to join you in the mining, just to feel the excitement of the find. i've always loved to turn rocks and dig in the soil, that would be the perfect vacation for me
Aquamarine is so damn pretty! Massive thanks to all of the miners that unearth these beautiful specimens for us to enjoy.

Your father and grandpa rock! God bless you family. Get that gemie
Glad to see you are back and the Mrs’s is recovering from the accident. Great family show of real people following their dream. Well done.

This is how a reality show should be produced. No BS. Just gettin down to business. And gettin er done! Rock on!💪
I love seeing the mountains goats in Colorado. They are so majestic.
The best diggers I’ve watched. Each person is a star. Not fake
I have no idea how i stumbled onto this show yesterday but I am glad i did! Dynamite and Whiskey I love it. That should be a T shirt.
Tracie's remarkable, survivving and getting back up there.
