That POV lap was AMAZING, we need more of these shots!!
What I'm wondering is how the hell they got that shot, where was the camera mounted? It's clearly not helmet- or harness-mounted because there's absolutely no shake but also...I can't figure out where else it could be mounted directly to the car without getting in Euan's way
@@QuietRage69 I was thinking mounted to the seat on a right-angled arm to situate it infront of the driver's right neck/shoulder area.
This should be one of the most badass poster cars from the 3/4 view
Absolutely!
The production quality of this video is outstanding.
We try our best. Thank you!
at 3:29 the display says "GO BABY GO!"
awesome!
And it comes when he activated DRS, which is soo fing cool
I KNOW!
Reminds me of the nitrous button in the Elenor gt 500 from gone in 60 seconds
Good encouragement when pushing the “PTP” button
These track only cars are really great to appreciate to what engineering can be achieved without regulations and probably open budget. Very good presentation as always.
Thank you very much Robin! We think so too. Always curious to know what can be achieved
I was surprised to see just rubber and hose clamps for the intake plumbing, but I guess it'd be more serviceable in the pits.
First you see the other channels unveil their review of the GT3X. Then few days later you watch the video from Carfection. And you understand or remember that there is nobody that comes close to the image and sound quality, stunning production and detailed info of Carfection. Thank you guys
Thank you for such high praise! We're glad you wait and watch our films after seeing others 🙏🏽
What do you think of this epic track beast? If you're having difficulty hearing Henry over the roar of the engine, turn on captions.
Ehh........unsure.
On one hand, there are a considerable amount of upgrades over the standard GT3. On the other, there's not much difference between uncorking a 720S GT3 and buying this, and while some parts and pieces might need changing out, it'd still be way cheaper.
It's a cool exercise, at the very least.
I have never seen Henry giggle like a school girl. I certainly understand why, what perfect black bad monster.
It's not "over the roar of the engine." It's through his helmet.
Carfection has a reputation to uphold. This did not uphold.
@@petermgruhn Have you heard better through-helmet commentary anywhere else? Or are you saying that Carfection need a specialized internally-miked helmet? If the latter, I can see your point, but it might have been more constructive to explicitly state that.
A tad pointless as it doesn't meet any rules regs. Nice toy to have though.
What an incredible car. And I like what Henry said at the end about how you'd want to use it on a track day rather than race. Without pressure, just pure enjoyment of the car and testing yourself lap after lap. Yes, I can see the appeal of that.
Engineer - "How much aero do you want?"
McLaren - "Yes"
"All of it" 😂
I can't believe i work for a company makes carbon fibre front bumper, rear diffuser, doors, roof scope and other parts for McLaren. Now i understand why these cars cost so much because the quality control is just another level. A lot of the parts go to reject just because of a tiny scratch, spot, or a slight variation in paint depth etc. Amazing production process and a lot of world class engineering solutions required to create these cars.
What supplier/vendor do u work for?
It's 11.17pm in Australia and I get to hear Henry's soothing voice before sleep.
same here
Good night m8
he definitely should make a sleep app
@@christeitzel9609 there's an idea.
Brilliant choice to put in the full lap POV shot without any background music. Bravo
3:16 Push To Pass press and the display shows Go Baby Go , nice
That downforce seems manic 😶 So go kart-like, remarkable !
Crazy how often Euan dips into first gear in that lap…
🤯🤯
I was thinking the same and wondering if that’s normal or not.
@@z32luvr probably due to the gearing being specced for track use and those are sharp corners
yeah its doing well over 60mph in first, it's not like a typical road cars first ratio
When you think theyve only made 15 , even at £720,000 each there probably isnt much in it profit wise for mclaren considering the development and production of such a beast!
By far one of my most favorite episodes. Henry, you're such a lucky dude! 💪
It's cool and all but I'll be honest, I fell in love the second you said "air jacks". Anything with air jacks is instantly up there with the best cars of all times
This is one of the best Reviews on a car i've watched so far, the POV onboard was immaculate, need more of that haha
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're producing more reviews like this so subscribe and hit the bell icon to be notified for the next one ☺️
The quality of these videos is absolutely incredible! Seriously solid great work!
Thank you Mehdi!
Very nicely equipped and balanced car that won't break the bank while generating the thrill of a full on race car
You have the best job Mr Catchpole.
Great video Henry
Always top reviews 👍
Love all the POV and camera angles in this video! Can feel the exhilaration from just watching!
We're glad to hear that! That was our goal
Awesome review. I also noticed the frequent gear 1 usage, interesting.
Great video! Thanks for the tech talk part!
Nearest thing you'll get to driving a 21st century "Batmobile." Looks great fun.., with the extra 30bhp [red button] MIB experience available also. Happy days!
Awesome video and car, i can't heave enough of that combo Bremont U-2/51-Jet on dark green NATO strap 12:19
love the high quality of content :)
Definitely at the top of a ‘rich boys toys’ list. If I had the cash, I’d be on it!
great vid!
more POVs like that, please!
You got it!
Must be awesome to be able to get it sliding after a few laps. Just goes to show how well it’s sorted on slicks to be able to push something so intimidating so hard so early. Top job
That is one beautiful car.....in every way.
that POV was insane - thank you
We're glad you enjoyed it
Looks so good. Cant wait to see on the track.
That is an amazing car. Thanks for presenting an excellent review.
Massively under rated Spinal Tap joke!
Informative and entertaining.
Thank you for not playing music over the driving
Great video; especially the Spinal Tap reference, although I'm not sure Euan got it! As it was bombing round the track, I was getting flashes of GTR #59, minus the orange flashes. Lovely
This is absolutely mindblowing.
Wow - what an amazing car. That massive tire size on the front is crazy for a mid-engine car! I did always wonder why the Senna only had 245 fronts, as understeer seemed to be the main complaint on that car from most reviewers like Chris Harris
I always click the like button even before the video starts playing, because I know I am always going to enjoy it
8:15 venting of the GT3 RS almost looks like that. What a machine. A true track/toy weapon.
True, what a machine... Just one thing, the GT3RS wasn't the first car with that kind of venting at all, far from it actually. So saying ''it's like'' the GT3RS is not the right way to say it. Fyi, the 720S GT3X (racing car) is like lightyear faster than the GT3RS or the GT2RS so no comparaison possible... But I see your point.
All GT3 cars have this venting on both sides, like this 720S (wich is a GT3 car), the GT3RS also take those venting from the GT3 R racing car.
That POV tho, insane.
The POV lap was crazy 😍
From France with passion and respect ✌🏼🇨🇵😎
I want a road-going McLaren with a DRINK button on the steering wheel!
I think its another one of Mclarens works of art !!
For the first time in ages, I see a POV where the driver is owning the beast. Dialed-in, a measure ahead of the one he’s playing. Keep him at the wheel.
Well, I actually bought a 12C due to James’s recommendations, now he is probably shaking his pants, however don’t. Its’ been 7 years of ownership with McLaren, and u were spot on from the beginning, the 12 c was/still is a masterpiece. Further, please continue to report facts, your videos are masters level study worthy, please continue to report to this level. Your work is massively impressive.
Thank you.
best POV i ever seen
I like that you can put the pit limiter on early and it just waits for you to brake down to below the pit speed, instead of having to drop below the pit speed and THEN hit the limiter.
Thank you SOOOOOOOO much for that onboard
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Marvelous absolutely fantastic
This is my favorite 2021 car!
Super impressive
I fucking love henry catchpole
The pov lap is my favorite
An absolute beauty - both the car and this video.
Thank you Sonny!
Anyone else notice it said go baby go on the dash ‼️
Dat Camerawork 😱 great review of a great Car!
Thank you Peter! 🙏🏽
Carfection is the dogs bollocks 🏁😎❤️
what a nice chap the driver was
That would be sick around Bathurst
pause at 3:22 the car he passes when on rear view camera shows an arrow on screen where car is, thats cool.
Beautiful car!
What an amazing machine 🔥🔥
Clever use of the Spanish Sun illuminating papaya reflections on black.
Beautiful track!
First corner at full throttle, such an experience ! And at 260km/h with the mac laren 😅
beautiful car
what camera do you use for the POV stuff? The dynamic range is exceptional
Man what an epic car.
I adore this
Good on McLaren for making them!
This is my new favorite car
I love this
The car looks awesome
Go baby, go!
Can't wait for Lanzante to get one of these and make it road legal.
It's jarring to not be able to see Carfection's near-perfect like/dislike ratio. Fuck youtube.
Are we allowed to know what the song is at the beginning? Reminds me of a Vessels track. I find it interesting that a lot of car shows/channels seem to be using experimental electronic stuff recently. Very fitting imo.
I would have thought this thing would cost well over 1mil! What a beast
Go Baby Go reminds me of Gone in Sixty seconds.
GO BABY GO!
GO BABY GO
Is this is the kit that DDE gonna put in the 720gtr after crash.
is this the basically the same car that's racing at road atlanta in GTD this weekend?
Henry can actually drive 👍😎
His head bobs when he changes gears. It’s like the car is saying : you (slap) think (slap) are (slap) good (slap) enough (slap) to (slap) drive me? Assuming 6 gears that is …
Well, you came to Spain, how was the trip?
Get carfection to 1M subs! It’s a crime they aren’t there yet.
Thank you so much for your support!
What was the lap time like compared to a normal gt3?
New engine internals, upgraded turbos, but it's running 720hp?
Is it for reliability at full speed ?
How do this guy drive like lightning and talk at the same time?? #class
These cars are stunning yes they faults like all cars sum cars are faster sum are slower i think they are the best i love them
Why is there a button labeled "drink" on the steering wheel?
D'oh when you don't get the Spinal Tap reference. If the McLaren dude was trying to sell me this thing, not sure I would be buying it.
Thought the gearbox was going sleepy time when he dropped into 1st at that speed. 😂
😂😂😂
production quality of this video is too good bruh
Thank you so much 🙏
