Got my tank out this weekend by jacking up the driver’s side with a 15” crowbar then sliding the round side down on the firewall and the other end on the wheel well so that the tank couldn’t fall back down. When I picked up the passenger side of the tank the whole thing popped out. We found the opposite things, I think. My tank appears in pretty good shape but the flat area of the undercarriage beneath the tank has some rust. Yours looks all right.
if rust through, the under tank area is available as a replacement panel, if just rusty looking sand blasting and epoxy primer and polyurethane factory match paint will cure it
