I bought a 73 1.7l a few months ago. I'm trying to get it back on the road. I've watched this video a couple of times and each time I realize there is some other vacuum hose or wiring harness bit that is connected incorrectly. Very useful. I'm sure I'll have to watch it a few more times before all of the bits and pieces are hooked up right.

But a small correction engine type EB ist a 1,7 Liter 1973 with 72Hp for California as written in Dr. Johnsons at page 82 and to be found on my matching number car( certified by volkswagen Geburtsurkunde) 1973 1,7 car reimported from U.S.. Purchasing the parts from auto Atlanta keeps it running authentically

How do you add petrol to start? If your tank is not connected?
monitor how your voice sounds , horrible audio i turned it off ! tinny and reverberating in german it means harsh and irritating
