Hello mate, nice job and you got there in the end! I marvel at the engineering in these old Porsches, although sometimes I also curse it on my own 924 Turbo! Dont forget the 924 content, even though I've enjoyed the Rav and the Gold episodes!
I have same issue. my sender wasn't dirty like yours i even tested on mutimeter and moved the float up and down and you can see the reading going with the float but still no reading on the gauge...any tips...
@@john2ndname so it could be the gauge itself then, possibly that had got stuck, I say this because if the light cane on then your fuel level sensor is at least partially working
I would never use something sharp or metal on the wires !!!!! They are covered by gum from old gas , use a paper towel and GUM CUTTER !!!! Let the chemicals do the work !!!! 😊😊😊😊😊
I'm not actually using anything sharp on the wires the only thing used to clean them is chemical and fabric, I did however use a pick to clean the float shaft? Thank you for the input regardless and thanks for watching 💪
Need to change the title to "how to fix fuel sender" This has nothing to do with fixing a broken fuel gauge! Interesting to see the spare tire on ROW cars is not centered like USA cars
I was very happy for you when the gauge popped up! Thanks for the video.
Your welcome! I was very happy too!!
One of the best 'victory cries' ever when the gauge jumped to life. Thanks for the clear video.
Couldn't agree more! Glad you enjoyed the video!
A free fix is a good fix. Well done mate
A free fix is the best fix
Good job, nice to see you fixing it rather than just bolting in a new one 👍
You bet, fortunately our era of cars and repairable rather than throw away.

Thanks man! Great to hear! There is more in the pipe line for all three cars! Just waiting on parts, weather and of course time! Thanks for watching!
Very useful. We often refer our members to this guide.
This has legitimately made me very happy! I'm so pleased to have been able to help the community! I will be doing a WUR rebuild video soon too!
@@usuallybrokencars That's difficult, especially if you need to recalibrate it.
@@924oc no idea, but it can't be worse than it is lol
Nicely done
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome result! 🎉
Thank you! 😊

Does your gauge move at all?
@@usuallybrokencars no!...one time the low fuel red light came on.

I think your right...i will keep working on it...cheers🙂

The way I see it, most people believe that it's the guage that's the problem! But thank you for watching!
Jesus, 900 trillion fuel gauges.
Maybe not quiet that many lol
