Special thanks to our Patreons for their support of the channel! Civic or Corolla?
They're both great. Corolla is small, boring and it's the last car you'll ever *need* to buy.
The Civic is better, bigger, more fun, just not invincible.
Had this exact car for 33k miles, Downshift is on point. Great video, your analysis is exactly how I feel living with it everyday.
Road noise is a big problem in the Civic. And why did Honda eliminate the engine TEMP gauge in the instrument cluster and replace it with an IDIOT light? Come on Honda, how cheap can you get?
Yes, I own a sport touring hatchback, and the road noise is definitely more prominent than it should be. Since I've got mine on lease, hopefully they can fix that issue with the hybrid civic this year. Other than that, great car 👍
@@recordedanemone6399how was the oil diolution in your car
It's on the touring
The interior too, I hate the vent it’s ugly and stupid
Personally I like the road noise, but I do agree with your opinion on the TEMP gauge being removed.
I was able to get a sport base sedan with leather added by the dealer few days ago 🙏
I’m scared to see the prices for the upcoming hybrid considering how expensive these are already
I'm from Romania, bought the entry-level hybrid version of the hatchback Civic, it cost me the equivalent of $38.200. Made in Japan.
Sport trim? Where’s the temperature gauge? Why is Honda doing away with the temperature gauge? They did the same thing in the 2024 Ridgeline and I’m sure the Pilot and Passport since the Ridgeline is based on those two vehicles. Why?
nice vid man, thanks. appreciated!
I have a 2024 Honda civic sport touring hatchback in boost blue. I freaking love it. Best car for me
I am completely satisfied with my 2024 Sport Touring Hatch 6MT. Wish I had gotten an SI except there were not any available.
For sure it's a bit pricier than competitors, but can't wait to hear how you guys feel about hybrid version, I own it for half a year now (Euro market), and once you try it out - all the comparisons against corolla/mazda 3 go out the window, hybrid is in a league of it's own...
totally agree, I got mine one week ago and it's like a rocket ship. Couldn't be happier with my purchase.
How is the acceleration and road noise?
@@bigpaps7696 acceleration might be best part, sub 7 secs is doable... road noise however is not the best - its a civic
The 24 took away the shift selectable sport and low gears. As well as the arbitrary eco mode button
Honda excels in engine responsiveness, ergonomics, use of interior space and driving dynamics as compared to its competitors. Also I like how it packages its trims and keeps it simple for manufacturing as well as its customers.
Russ Darrow, are you in Wisconsin??
I love my 2024 Honda civic sport
Honestly thinking of trading my 2018 Honda hatch for this new hatch
would you recommand the gr 86 trueno
me personally i would i just got a sport civic 2024?i pass a red 86 every day at work like man that joint sweet!
There is gas+LPG option in Turkey.
Really turned off that the stick is being dropped for 25, here in canada, at least im willing to pay extra for it
I had this car. It was so slow! All the left out Amenities. I got rid of it and went for the Touring Sport Hatch. Night and day difference. It’s way better.
Yeah for another 10k...
@@vincinuge Yea I’d say it’s about 10k more or a little less. It’s still worth the upgrade though in my opinion. The 1.5 engine is fun.
@@Rip84LW I have to admit, I am jealous. But the LX is fine for me, I like getting from point A to point B, but also looking nice while doing so.
@@vincinuge Just get it. The payments are really not that much more. I got rid of it already though lol. Loved it though when I had it. Great car.
idk why u get a 170hp car with a cvt and expect it to be fast at all, i’m getting one jus cause it’s a good gas saver and driving a modified v8 everyday gets pricey. don’t gotta be fast for me
IMO Civic is the best in its class!
And can’t really compare it to the old soggy Corolla 😅
It doesnt really compare, Corolla comes with more features for less money. Also found better materials like soft touch plastics vs hard touch plastics. but people like the driving experience of the Civic better
@@InvestWithAlex I traded in my 23 Corolla for a 24 Civic. Civic has sunroof, heated seats, and blind spot monitor which the Corolla lacked. Sure the Corolla had SXM on the radio and power seats but its far inferior in my experience. Not to mention the CVT transmission in the Corolla with the physical first gear is absolutely horrible and boring to drive. I am also getting 6 more mpg in the Civic. The Civic is a better car than a Corolla for a list of reasons.
@@odbza6655 I traded in my 18 Q50 and spent months comparing the Corolla SE and Civic Sport. I'm assuming you went with the touring trim for those extra features. My Corolla has blind spot monitoring and sunroof, which for comparable trim (SE vs Sport) the Civic sport lacked. I also liked how the door panel and dashboard were all soft touch vs the hard plastic on Civic.
The Corolla has gotten me better MPG's and the physical first gear means less wear on the CVT. They're both equally slow, Corolla SE vs Civic Sport, SE was a bit faster. 0-60 wise. But I'm sure the 1.5t on the touring is much faster than the 2.0, but sacrifices maintainability (premium fuel, wears engine faster, etc)
Overall I found the Corolla is a few thousand less for comparable trims so it gave me the better value. Styling wise I love the new Civic.
Keep your hybrids....theyre just trouble!
I love the sport back Civics but the pricing is ridiculous for a compact car with tons of road noise, manual seats, cvt…..etc..
The seats are the most uncomfortable seats I have ever sat on. The HRV’s and Corollas are pretty horrible as well
2022 hatchback sport touring pretty worth it
For 32k you can buy a camry with options or a 6 cylinder camtry even or awd
32l for a underpowered stupid 4 cyl is crime.
The 2003 Honda Civic I hand down to my youngest sister...the car is still working. Honda lasts forever!
You can get a Camry SE Hybrid for less than a nice Civic
Premature 1.5T blown head gasket is the deal breaker.
That's why I went with the sport with NA engine
Airbags should be standard all over the car. SMH
Tôi muốn mua, khoảng sáng gầm thấp quá phải suy nghĩ lại
If only it had ventilated seat
Great slow car that’s primed too oil dilution cvt failures
It's a K20. So... No it isn't.
Have you experienced oil dilution, or just read about it?
Premature blown head gasket is very common for 1.5T
Lol where....
@@Hondaddy Google ‘Honda 1.5 turbo blown head gasket’. Sell yours before the warranty expires.
Show the data.
The car is almost as big as an Accord now. The grid on the dash will be a pain to keep clean
civic should have never gotten that big
I could live w/everything but that CVT
yea that’s booty but shii it’s a good gas saver and that’s what i need
I got it with 6MT. (6 speed manual). Great car!
Automatic? Manual is better.
Ok, fórmula1 pilot
eh i dont care about hybrids anyways
Toyota , Nissan, mazda,Subaru all went to hell the last 5 years!
How do you figure Toyota went to hell?
Stupid
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Never take an advice from someone that says he wants a”hybrid”.
lololol dude really said "hybrid"
Terrible interview of this Car... you Bad Mouth the Car.. oh' it's not the Type -R response as in Power.. you Forgot to Mention the Type-R is Double the Price..This Car is Fast without being in Sports Mode.. Its not All that Slow.& its still Close To 30K with finance 😐
Drives noticeably better than the Elantra? No it doesn't lol
Honda design is awful.
You mean exterior design? Too bland? 10th Gen was better?
