  • This was my budget build. Clearly if you know about boats then you know that a budget build becomes a hobby build very quickly and the cost of the build just sky rockets with the addition of all the accessories you want.

You did an awesome job. I just restored my Waterbug, its 15' 2" long. A copy of the Gheeno.

Yea man, enjoy the boat. I like the Waterbugs. Some of them came stock with front decks.

Thanks for the video! Do you think a 13’ Gheenoe is stable enough that you could put a casting deck in the front with a seat on an 11” pedestal?

Honestly, everyone is different when it comes to balance. Mine felt tipsy with me just sitting on a cooler in the front.

Where did you get that speckled paint to paint the inside floor with? I love the outside color too.

It's called marbeling spray paint by Krylon found on Amazon. It shoots out in strings. Just apply while topside paint is wet.

I have an 86 model 13 ft. I want to add the decks like you did. How did you support the decks at the sides ?Looks really good. Yeah oil base home depot didnt work for me either. Great job

Go yo home depot and buy the pvc trim I think they sell it 2x8 pieces. Fiberglass them to the side wall and slide your deck right on top.

What paint did you use and did you roll it on? Where did you get those black Gheenoe trim?
    Thanks

I used home depot oil based paint ( bad idea because it's to thin) rolled on. The black things are called rub rails. They are sold by gheenoe or fairly often you can catch them cheap on FB marketplace. I would go gelcoat on any boat I build going forward. Thanks for watching.

The boat itself not including anything else the total was about $600. With everything else like motor trailer, speakers and accessories probably close to 5k
