Damn, perhaps if Aladino invited Vlad Putin and Donnie Trump for a pond circle, sans rudder, and Maya played a little Mozart, sanity may return.. If not just tip your beautiful dingy and enjoy the worldwide cheers...😉
WOW - excellent work Aladino! She came together so nicely, and your attention to detail really shows. We are honored that Scout will have a beautiful life exploring the world with you and Maya on Magic Carpet II! 💙⛵
P.S. If any of your viewers are interested building their own Scout kit, we've been answering questions about it over on our Scout overview video: ua-cam.com/video/u8t9IRoNq98/v-deo.html
Oh my, what a lovely little tender. The humble work horse’s first outing ; ) and those salvaged oars have such unique lines, real beauties for sure. Maya, you have captured all the fun and exquisite attention to detail that has made this project such a labor of love. Excellent work by all involved.
I don't need a boat, and I have nowhere to store a boat. I can't build the simplest thing from wood, and I'm not specifically interested in boatbuilding. But now I've watched Aladino build this dinghy, and all I can think of is that I want to build a dinghy, too!! Of course it will never happen, it's just how my brain works. (Btw, a want to learn how to play the violin, too 🙂) Jokes aside, these videos showing the process of building the dinghy were amazingly good to watch. The way the two (sometimes three) of you worked together with the filming and building was very close and personal - in a very positive way. Hard to explain in a foreign language but i hope you're able to read between the lines and understand what I'm trying to say. Good luck with the work on the big ship!
Two wonderful masterpieces created by two amazing craftsmen. The boat built by Aladino, and the video created by Maya. Great job guys! Stay safe, and keep well. So looking forward to seeing Sailing Magic Carpet Two once again.
Aladino, you are truly an artist and craftsman. And with such care and professionalism, a work of art has been created. Maya, thank you for the great videos. Wonderful to follow you.
Your dad must be so proud of you both. I lived in Canada for 2 years visiting family. Mainly in Alberta but also time in Vancouver and Victoria. An amazing time surrounded by some amazing people.
Fill it up with food and freshwater and sail around the world! After that we all say this is a perfect project! Still it is a real good step at right way!!! 🥸 /Mikael
Knowing that paint hides all the flaws must have been a real problem for Alidino, because there weren't any flaws, and that had to make painting it that much harder. Special thanks to Dad, he wired the shop in a special way. When someone flips on the light switch, magical things happen. His son begins making jewelry, his daughter becomes a cinematographer, his son-in-law turns into a master boat builder, and llive music begins to play. Best 3 part series ever.
Alidino's grasp of American English has improved greatly over the years and his comfort in front of the camera has grown just as much. When are we going to see more duets and trios from Maya and her Inflatable Sisters?
The christening of your magnificent Dinghy was truly significant. in our popular culture a saying goes: "...wet bride, lucky bride..." Starting with the Dinghy this is undoubtedly the wish of all your fans.
very nice !
Excellent results Dino and Maya for the dinghy and the video. Both transpire Dino's satisfaction and your enthusiasm for future adventures..... Buon vento! and congratulations!
Amazing lines! I can only imagine how cool it is to slide in it! 🎉 Super 3 episode “Aladino wonderwork”! The little moment about little coin with the lamp going under the mast was a touch if a genius.
Switzerland has enough watchmakers Aladino. We're glad that you decided to build boats instead - same skills, but far more practical when it comes to sailing around the world ('as slowly as possible').
The company that made this kit should buy this video from you and include it every kit sold. What a beautiful job ,Aliadino! Now it needs its own name. A pole of us viewers will make for some excellent comments. Maybe a few humorous ones.
Like Allidino, I'm someone who really enjoys the building process and attention to detail that comes with it, so I can recognize its Mia who has the toughest job of the build.
My father, his father and a few generations before them, where traditional boat builders ... They where all perfectionists like You Aladino ... Only one word for you: RESPECT 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you, Aladino. This series took me back to when I build a stitch and glue Argie 10 dingy some 30 years ago. It turned out well, but sadly, my craftsmanship didn't match your exacting standards. You regularly inspire me to up my game in all of my DIY projects.
Aladdin you are the best..... You are a fantastic couple. Looking forward to your future projects, with the new boat. With friendly greetings. Piero Mengarelli
Aladino your dingy came out beautiful because of all the prep work you seem to live by. Thank you for making your project enjoyable and fun to watch. You are the man.
Looking guid man. Well done. Just the start of more amazing adventures with your talented wife. More fiddle playing please. Love it. Best wishes both, please keep safe. Bye.
iT GAVE ME GREAT joy WATCHING YOU ALL LAUNCH AND ROW ABOUT THE BASIN WITH SUCH HAPPINESS ON YOUR FACES. bRAVO AND cHEERS !!! OOPs, sorry I messed up the caps.....
Guys there's nothing better than watching your family come together and help one another. It's such a nice feeling I get. And I agree with Maya the boat is exceptional - well done Aladino! Yet no surprise because he always gives 100 percent of himself.
I have never won anything, until now, with the following statement I am proclaiming myself the all-time champion of the understatement, "Aladino you do outstanding work". tm
It hard to find new words to discribe how I feel when watching your videos. The peace and traquility that you bring have no words. Your little boat is a work of art and the mysic is my therapy. I am an old sailing and you bring peace to my soul.
"Just a kit", perhaps, but I'm sure that the kit manufacturer will be very happy to show off this result. That is a very nice build. It makes me want to build one!
As usual, excellent craftsmanship. And you got it done within your deadline. I don't know if you've been following the Golden Globe race. It looks like Kristen is now very likely to win it. She is in the lead, right now, with approximately 5,000 miles to go.
Aladino, you never have to tell us how focussed you are!😀 You always amaze in how you deal with pressure and the strains, notwithstanding the charm and magic you two give thousands of us. Sail on, lovely Carpet.
You musicians are so smug and assuming...and I'm immeasurably jealous. That music was pure delight and so calming, and I still don't comprehend why you don't have a million+ subs!
When you find yourselves moored next to an exquisite, multimillion pound yacht, they will be looking at your yacht and your dinghy with envious eyes, much like mine..
Lovely happiness with that boat, Aladino, Maya, Dad. I felt the melancholic music - beautiful though - did not reflect the happiness of the moment, but it did not dominate the story. Your videos and storytelling are really up there, believe me. So this is not a complaint. Just thinking out loud the Dutch way - about 11 miles away as the crow flies from the epiphany paint company. The oars - human powered - thing make it nice and remind of moments where an outboard engine did not want to start while being rather far away from the mother ship ;) It makes me curious to see where you take yourselves and the YT-viewers.
What a beauty. What did I tell my sailing pupils for years and years? The fun of sailing has nothing to do with the size and the price of a boat. It only comes to the feels you can get from a vessel. I can imagine your children once will have fun with this boat.
Even with a puff of wind in a pond, the Scout moves beautifully! Thank you, thank you, thank you for producing this channel. We look forward to it every week. The music with your friend, Rick, was exceptional, as always. It's so rewarding to watch Aladino, who shares a bit of our favorite "Who are you?" question, the answer being, "We just love boats." Namaste.
For months now I can't imagine a better way to start the weekend than having a glass of wine watching the next episode of Sailing Magic Carpet - thank you so much😘
It's also how we start our weekend, Christine......but as it's usually early Saturday morning for us, it's a bit too early for wine.....more like tea & toast here! 😊🌻
All those logs in the water!.. where are the Beachcombers when you need them! Relic and Bruno would have taken care of that! Cool little boat, I enjoyed following your progress. Enjoy!
Great episode!! Alidino, even when your rushed you find time to do a professional, top quality job. What a nice looking dinghy. I can’t wait to see you guys sailing in it.
I loved that duet music. You already had it in the video before the visual reveal. Nice!. Just that strange big violin with its strings in the same plane that can only be played pizzicato - what the flauto. But seriously, really nice music.

So much art...the boat, the music, the editing. If UA-cam had awards, I would recommend this series.
There is .. best boat UA-cam show was chosen last month. Parley revival won.
"Is that a sailboat in a puddle?" Hilarious! Hope this little sailboat works well as your tender. That guitar/violin duo was heartwarmingly beautiful.
Zen and the art of boat building!❤
Absolutely amazing 🙏🇬🇧🙏
Bob Emser of the “Art of Boat Building” says, “If you are going to make it, make it beautiful.” Your work, Aladino, is a case in point.
A super small boat that perfectly compliments your stunning work on your other two projects. Well Done Aladino.
The boat looks amazing. Aladino has worked his magic.
The live music was also worth watching. :)😊
An absolute "master piece". Aladino, you are surrounded by captivating music. Maya, thank you for sharing you music.
It is such a pleasure to watch masters at their crafts. Boat building, film making, and musicians.
Thank you so much Judith!

Aladdino and Maya, u guys, make my heart sing. I know what it's like to build with the hands ur joy is intoxicating. Thank you 4 taking me along
Aladino, you are truly an artist and craftsman. And with such care and professionalism, a work of art has been created. Maya, thank you for the great videos. Wonderful to follow you.

Ich könnt mich wegschmeißen, wenn ich Dich in dem kleinen Tümpel segeln sehe 🤣. Ist toll geworden das Boot, Aladino!
Delighted you are both delighted with your dinghy, Magic Carpetto - ha! Ha!
Fill it up with food and freshwater and sail around the world! After that we all say this is a perfect project! Still it is a real good step at right way!!! 🥸 /Mikael
"Turn around, let's see that transom," made me laugh out loud!
Wow, the boat, the music, the episode🤩👏construction on the New boat

I got choked up with the beautiful live music and the silence of the painting. What a beautiful episode!!
Marina pickup lines - "Turn around and lets see that transom" 😆

So that coin with the lamp is a dirham from the UAE and it’s a coffee pot. Just in case you were wondering!
The boat looks great, but this video could be a masterclass in filming and production! Well done!!!
Excellent results Dino and Maya for the dinghy and the video. Both transpire Dino's satisfaction and your enthusiasm for future adventures..... Buon vento! and congratulations!
12:53 best scene in the film. 🙂 Really oustanding couple!
Perfect conditions for your first row-row-row your boat. Nice Outro - puddling around.
The return of the "99 Problems" riff/dad joke! 🤣
Amazing lines! I can only imagine how cool it is to slide in it! 🎉 Super 3 episode “Aladino wonderwork”! The little moment about little coin with the lamp going under the mast was a touch if a genius.
I really like the tanbark vibe of the sail. She's a beautiful little boat. Well done.
OUTSTANDING Aladino! OUTSTANDING!

Wow, nice work Aladino! Maya you did also amazing by Filming, cutting and supporting. Amazing!
I've really enjoyed this little series, and that construction method is just fascinating. It's genius. Wonderful work.
A piece of art depicting a piece of art. Wonderful
Like Allidino, I'm someone who really enjoys the building process and attention to detail that comes with it, so I can recognize its Mia who has the toughest job of the build.
What a masterclass in boat building and music too. It looks fabulous

A beautiful job…but of course, Aladino is such a perfectionist. The design of this little vessel is so good and the completed project is perfect.
Aladino your dingy came out beautiful because of all the prep work you seem to live by. Thank you for making your project enjoyable and fun to watch. You are the man.
Well done! your dad seemed very proud of both of you!
Looking guid man. Well done. Just the start of more amazing adventures with your talented wife. More fiddle playing please. Love it. Best wishes both, please keep safe. Bye.
THis project has been really inspiring. I wonder how many new dinghies are going to be built over the next 12 months? Absolutely brilliant.
iT GAVE ME GREAT joy WATCHING YOU ALL LAUNCH AND ROW ABOUT THE BASIN WITH SUCH HAPPINESS ON YOUR FACES. bRAVO AND cHEERS !!!
OOPs, sorry I messed up the caps.....
Alidino just loves doing the sign-offs! You can hear the delight!! 🤣
BZ Aladino 👍 another notch in the old toolbelt ☺
As with all your videos, its been a real pleasure to watch. Dedication, craftsmanship and a stunning result.
Just because it was a kit doesn’t mean it will turn out beautiful! Alidino, it was your craftsmanship that turned a kit into a beautiful boat :)
This is one of your best. Talented people who are kind to each other are inspiring. Splendid string section!

Love the thumbnail! Definitely was worth the effort to set that up.
Aladino, you never have to tell us how focussed you are!😀
You always amaze in how you deal with pressure and the strains, notwithstanding the charm and magic you two give thousands of us. Sail on, lovely Carpet.
Authentic beauty is an artist capturing an artisan displaying the craftsmanship of boat building.
Great job both of you.. loved the music Maya.. Love your dad gave you the oars.. Aladino cracks me up hahhaa too funny! He is no show pony LOL..
You musicians are so smug and assuming...and I'm immeasurably jealous. That music was pure delight and so calming, and I still don't comprehend why you don't have a million+ subs!

Ihr seid echt sweet und habt gut durchgehalten! Schickes kleines Boot!
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!! No words... chills...
Maya's music and Aladino's work is an aural and visual symphony, great work you two. 👏
You are great. Always a pleasure. Thank you very much.
What a beauty. What did I tell my sailing pupils for years and years? The fun of sailing has nothing to do with the size and the price of a boat. It only comes to the feels you can get from a vessel. I can imagine your children once will have fun with this boat.
Comment, yes. Well done guys. Thanks.
the mix of doing stuff and play handmade music is unique. i like this verry mutch.
Even with a puff of wind in a pond, the Scout moves beautifully! Thank you, thank you, thank you for producing this channel. We look forward to it every week. Your synchrony and love is something to behold. If only most people were so lucky.
Very impressive boat building, musical performance and of course video production.
In land locked Iowa, never sailed a day in my life, as always thanks for sharing this wonderful world with us.
For months now I can't imagine a better way to start the weekend than having a glass of wine watching the next episode of Sailing Magic Carpet - thank you so much😘

@@mareegodleman1347 - there is a word >it's always five on the porch< 😅 especially on saturdays - so go for it🤣
That was fun. Don't be afraid to scratch that new car
An amazing achievement guys , a beautiful build well done, loved the music while painting etc so much so that I fell asleep, well it was 4-30 am 😂 GL
Amazing so well done Aladino. I hope you and Mia enjoy your Dinghy and your boat.
All those logs in the water!.. where are the Beachcombers when you need them! Relic and Bruno would have taken care of that! Cool little boat, I enjoyed following your progress. Enjoy!
very tender tender. sailing her may require a load. But beautiful work, beautiful little boat and may she serve you for many years.
Congratulations on your completion of the dingy! Beautiful music
Great episode!! Alidino, even when your rushed you find time to do a professional, top quality job. What a nice looking dinghy. I can’t wait to see you guys sailing in it.
Guys I couldn't wait for the episode to end I had to let you know how incredibly professional this video looks! Wow!
Hey guys..great job! FYI that's not a lamp but an arabic coffee jug :)
I loved that duet music. You already had it in the video before the visual reveal. Nice!. Just that strange big violin with its strings in the same plane that can only be played pizzicato - what the flauto.
But seriously, really nice music.
I wondered if you looked at a PT 11 dingy? Tally Ho skipper liked its nesting capability on deck. Beautiful work Aladino and great video Maya. The talents you put together with family are just amazing! Thanks for sharing.
Fine video !! I have three suggestions......First, its very handy to have a list outside of the gunnel, since there will be numerous contact there, hard or soft....Maybe a square wooden list, screwed on and either dyed and oiled , easy to replace too. Or a thick rope, could also work as a buffer....... Second: a tiller extention/extension? . Good to have when sailing, since you have to use your weight to balance the dinghy. I am 74 and my first boat was a Finn dinghy, which I still have, and the wooden pin on a universal metal knot is either laying along the tiller, or used when need be.Absolutely useful.... Third: For sailing its very comfortable to have a band on the bottom to stick your feet under when sailing, as I have two of those on my Finn, which is 4.50 m long and 1.6 m wide, with 10 sq.m sail. As I write I might mention over time, maybe two planks under lenghtwise would stabilize the boat, and also protect the bottom when dragging it up on beaches....They could have a alu band under, then they will last longer too.....
Anyway, just my five cent suggestion, and all the best and varm greetings from Sweden !!
A work of art Aladino be very proud of yourself. An excellent little craft I can see it will serve you well for many years to come.
The music was wonderful also thank you both for a great video.
Alidino does a beautiful job and I love the music.
she rows nicely you chose and built very well .
M- It was a real treat to hear your music with a proper microphone.
A- I always enjoy seeing the technical side of boating and it has been great watching through this build (even if it’s just a dingy) from start to finish. A real craftsman enjoying his work.
Your attention to detail and your sense of practicality are, to say the least, amazing. The Dingy turned out beautiful. May you and wife and Magic Carpet find calm waters and friendly breezes to glide upon. Bon Voyage.
Hi,a tip for storing any half tins of paint is to make sure that they are sealed, and store them upside down…no skin when it is reopened,I am enjoying the build and the quality of the videos, entertaining and informative.Thank you,Roly🇬🇧.PS.would it have been possible to put a dagger board slot on the other side for sailing on the opposite tack, just a thought that I had.
Beautiful boat but it looked a leeetle rocky when Aladino first got in. Better with the added ballast of Dad.
Shows real dedication to go out rowing in the rain. Oh wait, Maya and Dad are Northwest Coasters so a little rain doesn't dampen anything.
Someday when you are ready please do a proper showing of the boat under sail in a bit of breeze. And with a rudder of course.
