hanks for this nice video, nice bike,i have a 1978 honda express nc 50 that has a loose handle bar when i bought it,i tried to tighten it but its still loose about a half inch that wiggled, any idea whats wrong?i still drive it lol" how do you clean that carburator air filter when it gets dirty?thank you and drive safe.....
Thanks for checking it out! The handle bars could be a bearing issue, could be that the guts under the bars are loose and need tightened as well. The air filter just gets washed with soapy water and dried before putting it back on.
They're great bikes but the thing is that the gearing is limited, I don't see any aftermarket parts for the final drive. No matter how much performance stuff you put on it, the final drive also called the gearing is just limited. That's a sweet bike for sure.
Yeah my first one (when I was 13) looked exactly like this, same year and everything. The yellow ones must have been the most popular, because you see them everywhere!
Hey Evan, where did you get the carburetor from? I’ve already bought two from eBay both 15mm for a stock Honda nc50 and they didn’t work. Would you what size jet it has?
All the carbs I have got for it were from eBay. I have played with several combinations of carbs and jets. I will have a new video out soon where I do some more upgrades and play more with jetting.
It SUCKS that it's getting cold out and I can't ride! I had fun with this one over the summer!
Sweet! I just pulled two express’ out of the shed. I’m going to make them one of my winter projects. You inspired me.
That's awesome! Have fun!
Always fun to try to squeeze out more speed out our smaller bikes. Nice project and mods to get a few more on the speedo.
Thanks! Maybe a big bore kit over the winter for a little more? Not sure yet :)

I figured y'all were sneaking up on winter up there. Thanks for the update on the HOG, looking forward to seeing what's next with it.
I'm surprised it held out this long. It was still 70's 2 weeks ago. Just took a nose dive the end of this week.
Nice to see more NC50 content! I own a 79 but the weather is real crappy here in Scotland.
Thanks! I've had a bunch of these over the years and they are fun to ride for being so slow! Good luck with your weather!
@@EvanWells07 Thanks, I've also got a 1976 NVT Easy Rider that I'm slowly rebuilding.
@waynekerrgoodstyle Nice!
Have you tried stiffer clutch springs or lightening up the clutch shoes by drilling a hole in the side to increase the take off
I haven't tried anything more yet. Once it gets nice again I will be back to playing with it.

Thanks! Yeah the gearing hinders it for sure. I'm not the type that needs to be going 40 on it, but it would be nice to keep up with traffic!
Good to see you back on here! Good content bud.
Thanks! Hey shoot me a text or something. My phone broke a while ago and I lost all my contacts.
Haha it must be an Iowa thing I have a yellow and green express my green one will do 38 and the yellow one I have runs about 28 stock

Dude..PLEASE wear eye protection when you're using the plasma cutter or grinder. We want to see more of your moped videos, not eye injury videos.
