Dude I enjoy your channel. I absolutely love 2 stroke engines in general, I ran a chainsaw for a living during the winter months. Though I have a Chevy Silverado, I regularly ride my motorcycle bicycle to town and back.
Since these are supposed to be triple 40 then they should all have a high hole piston correct? After mine is broke in I have a ported cylinder to install and while it's apart I was going to add a windowed piston and reed valve but I can't remember what piston it was when I put it together
I'm having major problems with piston clips finally after going through losing 5 of them I have them in but now my problem is 1side is in further than the other side and i think that's a problem am I correct?
How do you take the engine apart if you ordered pre-assembled, but want to grease the piston to be sure? Can u just pull it off? or will tht break the piston rings?
You can remove the top end from the bottom end as many times as needed for repair or gasket change out. You will just have to torque the acron nuts again putting it back together. We always grease the piston before assembling it here in our warehouse. Just becareful you can tear the gasket by taking it apart. Here is the instructions from our website if you want them. www.bicycle-engines.com/product_images/uploaded_images/Cylinder-Assembly-Instructions.pdf
There are two main types of piston a low hole and a high hole. If you try to use the wrong combination of connecting rod such as a long connecting rod with a short full distance it's going to hit the head. Confirm you have the correct piston with the correct bottom end and if still the problem persists maybe check the bottom gaskets
Good question! The ball goes in first then the pin. I add some grease while I'm in there. No trick just slides in. It goes in the little hole in middle of the drive gear. Just in case you are not sure.
We have the front engine mount for a large downtube. www.bicycle-engines.com/front-engine-mount-for-large-downtube/ that is the only thing we currently have.

Thanks that's just what I did my concern is the arrow on should it face the intake ?
Thank you so much for explaining it properly.
I like to install 1 of the clips before hand that way 1 clip is in there to hold the wristpin in place when you push it all the way in
My engine came with some metal shavings in the crank. I had to clean them out, but it should be good now. Cheers
I just ordered my new engine from you guys
How is the engine going?

Does it matter which way the windows are facing o the piston
Yes, the arrow on top of the piston has to face the exhaust.
My cylinder isn’t sitting all the way down on the engine and I’m not sure why, please help me
couldn't you slide the first ring on from the bottom? turning the piston upside down first
I thought the same thing.
Sir, can you help me to know all fundamental of engine kit of cycle?
Hope you had some luck
Question if I have to attach my chain and bearing plus a small cylinder rod falls out how do I reinstall it?

@BicycleEngines okay and best way to get the bike warmed up before some steep hills would be if you have any tips
Do you guys sell the engine assembly mount?
We have the front engine mount for a large downtube. www.bicycle-engines.com/front-engine-mount-for-large-downtube/ that is the only thing we currently have.
So fhe ring openings point directly to intake
Yes but what about the windows
Hopefully the cylinder and head don't come in a box bouncing and clanging around together like you showed.
Can you buy that black engine assembly stand?
I can't attach my piston, it's pre installed, how do I get it out without damaging?
Can you explain more on what you are wanting to do? The Piston should come out with out damage. Are you talking about the cylinder?
@@BicycleEngines I got it out, it was loosely fitted inside it.
@@BicycleEngines however I am missing a black washer would I be able to use a regular washer, it sits under the head
Is there a size difference in the two Rings?
They should be the same size
Can. It be. Brought. Altogether. With the bike
no
Is this where you are now Alex?
Just wait buddy
Enjoying it. Subbed.
Great
