I need to write another comment. THIS IS WORKING!!!! My knees don't crunch as much, I don't hurt much and I am so very grateful. I am also taking supplements but I have improved so much in one month. Thank you.
Thank you, especially for this video! I have been diagnosed with osteoporosis 5 years ago. Since then, I lived in a permanent stress (not good for any disease, I know) with looking for the best food supplements, exercises and so on. Some things, I did, went wrong, so as the daily trampolin hour, which caused often horrible headaches and neck tensions (right word? english is not my mothertongue). I am so happy, to see you doing the bumps and the breath "exercises". This is a smooth and practicable way to do something for bone strenght. Fine, that you spread positive and humorous vibes! I will follow you!
Thank you so much. I was looking into Dr. Rubin's vibration machine, which is very expensive, and saw this. After doing this I vibrate and will continue to this. Very grateful for this video.
I jump on a rebounder! Just bouncing my feet don’t leave the mat! I love it, feel totally stimulated but not too too! And the process calms me! I hope the rebounding is ok! Love the presentation! I’m going to implement the movements ASAP! TYVM for sharing!
I began doing these exercises a few days ago as soon as I learned I had osteoporosis.Tiday I learned I have osteoporosis of spine, and that twisting and bending is not good. What do you recommend for spinal osteoporosis? I assume these may not be the best. I enjoyed them! Thank you.
Hi, I have been treating patients with osteoporosis in my clinic for two decades. i have always used these with no issue at all. Now that being said, I would never speak against the instructions of another practitioner without doing a proper evaluation myself. The RAG Doll qigong exercise can be done without turning if you have concerns with rotation. you can also use empty palm patting over the entire body to stimulate osteoblastic activity (bone creation) if you or your doc have concerns.
Good day Sir, can you plse mention the fact that calcium and bone building pills are dangerous for the heart and therefore the body will deteriorate. I love these exercises. Thank you so much. I have just stopped taking Osteobon and doing your exercises. God Bless you!
Hi Patty, I'm so glad you are enjoying my channel and my programs. No i actually don't have one, but that is a great idea. Stay tuned I will put one together for you. I'm sure many people would be happy to have one.
Thank you for your concern Claudia. I appreciate that. Forward flexion is more of a concern with osteoarthritis in that forward flexion puts pressure on the connective tissue of the spinal column. Whereas extension puts pressure on the vertebrae. I've used these exercises for over 25 years with patients in my clinical practice without issue. That being said, of course always consult with your health practitioner for your specific situation. We are all different. But I do appreciate you words of concern. thank you.
I won't do any forward flexion activities because I have osteoporosis. Forward flexion is ill advised by the medical professionals for those with osteoporosis.
@@dianab6042 Hi Diana, I hear you. I've been treating osteoporosis in my clinic for many years. Although I don't share that opinion, I do strongly believe you should always do what you feel comfortable doing and are advised by your own person health care provider. just the rag doll exercise is enough to stimulate bone creation activity in the body.
@@dianab6042yes, forward flection is dangerous if you have advanced OP, which is tricky to know exactly. One certain case is T score - 3.5 and less. Other is really bad bone quality...
HI Ma, yes of course, have a look at my 5 stretches for lower back pain video, as well as my lumber decompression stretch video. My patients use them a ton! There are in the stretching section.
Love this for bone strengthening. What is the minimum times a week it should be done and is it OK to do daily? Also what is your take on spine flexing (backwards, forward and even twisting)? I do a lot of qi gong practises that sometimes involves such movements, gentle as they are, are they safe to do if you have osteoporosis? Practitioners will say no but they would also say qi gong has no proven benefits either!! And personally I know what qi gong does for me and how much I benefit. But I must ask cause I don't want any counter productive practises for my bones. Any feedback would be great thank you
Hi Leigh. So glad you enjoyed. This program can really be done as often as you like. I would recommend at least 4 days a week. You are correct that from western perspective spinal flexion and extension need to be done with caution and on a case by case basis. that being said. In the 20 years I did rehab and now almost a decade doing TCM i do often use limited range flexion and extension when treating patients. What is most important is that the core muscles are strong enough to stabilize the back, so that the spine and connective tissue play a minor roll in physical movements. If however the muscles are very weak, than those types of movements would be contraindicated. So rule of thumb would be to strengthen the core first and then mobilize the spine to encourage blood and oxygen flow to heal the tissue.
Thank you for your reply. Any spine extension/flexing or twisting I do is only through tai chi and qi gong movements (ie 8 brocades, bear turns and similar) and there's never any pain. Yes core strength is so important for spine stability as I've been told ( Western and Eastern practises actually agree on this). This is where I find it hard to improve...do you have any recommendations? Again, thank you for your time and advice 🙏

One important word of caution: Bending or flexing the spine forward is contraindicated for those with osteoporosis.
