  • Went down to my local spot for a few herring. I predominantly fish for them on soft plastics off the rocks. Video includes outline of the gear I use, soft plastics and how two techniques to how to use them.

    Great work mate. Looks so easy. I’ve only been able to catch herring on bait so far and have tried out metal spinners when they are on the bite so I might try plastics next. Thanks for sharing 🙏 🙏

      @@DangasTackleTips I used them because they were the smallest white bait fish profile I could find. They worked pretty good but did get a few tails bitten straight off so not as tough as a zmans

    caught 10+ herring in 40 mins using these tips legend. only thing is, when I set the hook too hard the fish come flying out of the water straight at me, but if I dont set the hook they shake it pretty easy. Any tips?

      Nice work mate! It is always a bit of a hard one, i tend to have a light drag and aim my rod as low as i can so they dont jump out. Also if you can find lighter gauge jigheads (thinner hook) seems to help a little but will always lose a few 👍

    What size of Zman did you use?

    • @DangasTackleTips
      @DangasTackleTips  4 роки тому

      2.5 inch mate, if they are a small school can chop 5-10mm off the head of the plastic to make is smaller
