Nice camper ! 😊 I was 11 years old in 1973, i just turned 62 last month ,and all the vehicle's were awesome in those years made to last and way easy to work on ! The seventies were the best times ever , I really enjoyed growing up in those days I miss them alot !😊
Needs an overdrive, expensive but worth it!
I LOVE the layout and a HUGE crapper!!!!
If it was my camper, I would paint a red stripe right down the middle all the way around. Would look pretty cool I think.
I am 64 in age and I say this is the best camper I have ever seen so far. Here in New Zealand camper touring is popular, 🪲most of the old ones are on Japanese forward control 2 tonne chassis. The latest models are the now very popular Fiat chassis, and Mercedes-Benz too. The crew cab arrangement on your camper makes it the best, as on the drive its as handy as a car with everyone properly seated as in a car for that grand tour.🐸
On the mechanical side, if all the bearings, seals and whatever that moves is in order than it should give plenty of trouble free motoring. It is a simple vehicle, no computers to go wrong here! 🐞
Absolutely right
What a score!! That is a sweet camper! Raising those kids to have a love for classics!
That’s the idea
it still look new from the 70's that a true keeper camper... maybe needs few upgrades
You have some beautiful children!!! The glasses and pigtails precious!!!
Love the truck. I would take the Camper off , put a nice aluminum flat bed on it.😊
Beautiful camper. Mom don't look happy at all. Kids will love it.
Thanks, my main job is make sure mama likes it so that’s the mission
@@FordEra YOU ARE SO SWEET!!!! I could hear the excitement with you I was hoping she would like it too hopefully it will grow on her! As a woman in my 40's I would LOVE this truck gem great buy! Awesome family moment thank you for sharing
Beef up suspension, drop in a Ford Godzilla and new trans, repaint the front red and leave the cab over silver, replace trim with aluminum. Restore inside as original as possible otherwise go all custom with style. Nice find, Fun project, Have fun.
thank you
Always check the fluids, all of them 😊
Add solar, but don't change a thing! Especially love the old aluminum window, sort of like old trailer park. Love Clifford the big red camper..
I have fond memories of my Dad's 72 F250 XLT with a 390. When my Father passed away in 1990, I put a new engine it, and had it running great. One day I came home and it was gone. My mother had given it to my older brother saying he needed it. After that the truck was never taken care of, rust started to eat into it,(I live in Southern California) this should have never happened! I was only 12 when my father bought it new from freeway ford in east LA. They often say the youngest child is spoiled, (me) but my brother the oldest was the spoiled one.
Man thats tough
I’m interested in the yellow B250!!!
If I were you I'd keep the truck red and paint the inside the same color of red. IDK I like the look of the red on the truck it looks like it came from the factory that way and It looks really clean like its only a few years old and still shiny. I think It would ruin the originality of the truck if it got repainted. thats just my opinion but you can do what you want with it brother.
I think that will be thevplan
Not to mention the fact that it will be a bitch to paint the roof again with the camper aboard .
Oh my gosh, my cousins had that exact same wallpaper in their guest bath back in the 70s!! 😅😂
Lol
Congratulations on your major score. I look forward to seeing you refresh this beauty!
Love it…keep as is…Add new Rims and Tires
Boy that's one hell of a camper I would love to have something like that on those Sturgis rally events but I know one thing as big as that thing is I'd be putting me a backup camera on it. And personally I like the yellow truck the best of the two
I remember when Supercabs and Crew Cab trucks of that time were rare, now they are commonplace.
And I never saw a Crew Cab motorhome of those years. 😊
You need to go from front to rear n fix everything you need to, then donate it to a 70 year old man who has no chance to own another vehicle and let him live his remaining years living his dream . Its a classic camper that is worthy of every dollar you invest in it. It is my dream camoer for sure. I hope you and your family enjoy it for many many years. But i Don't know if your wife was to impressed with it. But im sure she will come to love it as much as you do. Hard to beat a older Ford .great video young man,
What a beauty , just modernise the inside living area keep the rest original , but boy does she have some overhanging out the back 👍👍Australia 🇦🇺and that yellow truck is a beast man looks tuff 👌
thanks man
Love the new/old camper truck. Awesome
That truck is definitely a unicorn., a lot of green inside and a hell of an overhang behind the wheels.. looks great
Screams the 70s
Love them old ford trucks ied leave just like it is very nice
What a time capsule. My father had a 72 F-250 that he pulled a 28" fifth wheel. The original 360 would do the job, but over the Thanksgiving holidays we injected a 390 FE between the frame rails. What a difference in torque, adding a cheap set of Doug's headers also added to a great truck. He said better gas mileage too. I wouldn't change a thing on your camper, because it's only original once. You'll be surprised how many people will walk up to an original, compared to a new unit.
yes sir
Sweet 4x4s, camper. reminds me of my grandfather. He could make ah Hearse, look like ah factory Cadillac pickup truck 😊
Very cool . I have never seen a crewcab Ford Bumpside with a camper built on . That's a lot of overhang !!!!
A work of art, this is a beautiful camper 👍😮
Awesome as is !
I Love That Camper Wow What A Beast, Bro Keep It Red And Paint The Inside Red To Match The Truck. I'm A Ford Man Myself, You Got A New Subscriber Here From Sydney Australia 🇦🇺. ML&R
Don’t change a thing. The paint and motor are primo. The interior is awesome. Just upkeep and enjoy.
Wonderful find! Keep the outside colors. Fix what is loose or broken and brakes for sure. Enjoy camping with the family..
That’s the idea
So jealous, awesome truck!
It really is!
Very nice! Congratulations!
That type of truck and and camper, chassis mount motor home. I don't think the guys at the RV museum have a club cab in Elkhart Indiana.
🤔
Leave it RED, and yes to the 4X4 idea👍
Love the videos bro
Your dad looks younger by the day lol
Miss the old hood
thanks man, we are still here man
I see that. send regards keep up the good work
Camping with my kids are some of the best memories.
Beautiful. One thing I would do, is swap out the blue battery isolater for a continuous duty solenoid. Our family had a auto electric shop since 1938. Those have diodes inside and are very prone to pop. A continuous duty solenoid is like a ford starter solenoid. Only very heavy duty. We used to swap them out all the time. Good camping.
Thanks for the tip I’ll do that
Love it, a great classic cab camper to make family memories. Enjoy the journey!
I took 2 trips in a cab like that. From southern tip of lake michigan, in Indiana, to disney world in Florida. Mid 80's. Grandparents took me and my brother. Amazing memories!
❤This camper is absolutely stunning really is a beautiful thing I could and would 100percent live in that 😍
Beautiful Bumpside crew cab camper also these B250s are so cool because they are definitely an early Excursion
The RV industry referred to these as "Chassis-mounts".
Cool camper indeed! Definitely not go 4x4 as the rear overhang is massive!! Restore the interior of the camper and tidy up to make reliable❤
oh definitely an on road rig
Never seen anything like the two trucks you sold. Love to have one of them. The camper is way cool. Gotta delete the green paint inside. White would be my choice.
Gotta have the crew approve of it, lol! I got 3 daughters of my own and trust me they become more like 3 wives, lol! Open that 390 up and let her breathe! Duals, headers (If possible), 4bbl/performer, fin some bucket seats and a cooler as a console! Sweet trucks out and camper in!
Right on, thanks for watching
Totally AWESOME I love it
I'm glad you like it
I'd definitely leave it red. If you wanted green, I'd swap the motor home part over to the green F350 from TX, then get that truck's bed painted red and install it on this one. You'd probably have to swap the dually rear end to the green truck and put the single into this truck. Drivetrain-wise, maybe do the Holley Sniper FI, and either swap to a ZF 5-speed, like what Craig has in his '86 F250, or find a good E40D and convert to an automatic, which might make more sense for roadtripping purposes. Other option would be the Gear Vendors Laycock de Normanville overdrive unit. On that, I'd install a lockout switch so it can only be engaged in 4th gear, though. I've actually blown up one of those in a 1983 Volvo 240 Turbo by accidentally engaging reverse when it was engaged. I would keep it rear wheel drive. With all the weight on the rear, it should have decent traction, if you ever wind up being in an area with snow.
That’s an idea
You don’t want to be anywhere snow could be in the winter, salt would eat that truck alive.
I live in miami, FL@@c50ge
Those were some nice trucks you sold. Works of art.
Thanks, can’t keep them all
The one thing to keep in mindnis these arw cast iron engines, keep them cool, stay out of stop and go traffic, I've had these old Fords and older an know it's better to leave at 4 or 5 am and avoid the mayhem for peace of mind.
Congrats on getting ur new 72 Ford F350 Camper. too bad about the brakes. looks Cool. the two trucks u sold looked Awesome..
Thanks man, glad we sorted that brake situation out quickly
Im a kid of 1970s Dont change a thing. It's perfect.
Awesome! Very clean truck, Lots of overhang behind the axle. I believe that in 73
Ford moved the axle rearward on the Super Camper Special chassis reducing
some of that overhang and providing for a more stable ride. I would definitely
remove the wooden box at the rear
Thanks man, yea it’s going to go for sure
@@FordEra make a replacement out of diamond plate aluminum
was thinking of doing aluminum cabinets@@jamesklima4078
only bad thing about alot of the old campers an trailors like this to me is the price because i cant afford it anymore but do miss some of them
haha those even look like old school xmas lites up in the loft ill be
it wasnt very expensive i got it for $15,250
@@FordEra well when i add up what my current payouts are an living on disability pay it is expensive to me.Besides i had 2 fifth wheel trailors over coarse of maybe 10yrs an it did go go up for me but you have a great time you will remember good luck
Thanks bud@@williamescolantejr5871
Make absolutely sure you go over the fuel system on that truck...every hose and connection from the tank to the engine. That thing catches on fire it'll go up quick. Travel with a good fire extinguisher in both the camper and the cab. Some people here on the 'Tube have bought these older vehicles without doing that and they've gone up in flames. Brakes and fuel...do that before anything else.
Thank you
WOW!!! For once im a lost for words!!! Green my brother is a great color!! Just saying!!
For sure 4x4 and beef up the suspension beef up the engine, keep the truck red and tie in red on camper , get rid of the green inside camper and brighten up inside camper with red and white !😊
There's a window to see the back of the truck! Really neat
Both truck and camper look to be in mostly original and very good condition considering their age. If the truck is original paint, I would keep it. If it's not original, paint away. I suspect that the green in the camper is not original but would have been stained wood paneling originally. And I've got my doubts about that A/C unit on the camper being original as well as that toilet. But there is nothing wrong with going for some more modern amenities. If you plan to use it for camping in cold climates I'd recommend installing a modern furnace in the camper if that roof mounted A/C doesn't also provide heat.
Thank you
Amazing condition over-all, a few cosmetic minor fixes needed , unbelievably beautiful huge cab for a big family 👪/dogs 🐕 cat's in 🤠🤟🪓 living the dream man 🤠🤟🙏🇬🇧🇺🇲
Wow that crew cab camper is fully optioned.Love the Old school interior design & killa red paint beautiful package all round guys..greetings from sth Australia 🇦🇺 👍 🦘🪃🐪
Cheers 🍻
Do a BJ and the Bear truck stripe. Large white and black stripe on the cab, paint camper top and bottom red. Leave matching white with black stripes in the middle!
Sorry to hear about the brakes in the first drive. Pretty interesting that this was only used as an air b&b the past 11 years.
Things happen glad it wasn’t all that bad.
This is the first of your videos I’ve ever watched & I loved it. Can’t wait to watch a bunch more!
PS - I LOVE the pro-Israel sticker on your wive’s white minivan!!
I had a 68 ford just like this with a caveman camper on it. It was single cab but i loved it.
My Dad special ordered a 70' F-350 cab and chassis in the fall of '69. He specified heavy-duty springs, brakes and radiator and the same trans as yours (he always took off in second gear). It had a 360, but I guess the 390 was available. Great truck, but sadly it was totaled by a semi in '82 (he got out without a scratch). I did not see the frame on your '72. Coming from Vermont I'd be concerned about rust.
You are awesome. Thanks for entertaining us fools!
Thanks for watching
That camper is truly awesome! You have a nice find there. I just started an automotive youtube channel and that is how I found you. I immediately sub'd and have already enjoyed a few of your video's. Thanks!
BadAss , Red stripe on Camper , Red Interior . . . NO GREEN TRUCK ! ! !
I think that’s the move
Best $1200.00 you ever spent, good luck.
😂
I'd paint truck green because during prep you can fix that bit of rust while at it.
Keep it as is, don’t change the color of truck or inside the camper. Add a red stripe to side of camper like you suggested.
👍
All three of those trucks appear to be in excellent shape. I can tell the pickup is a 1977 as it has orange turn signal lights. The yellow one must be '73 to '75, but I have never seen anything like it before. It is similar to an Excursion although goes back earlier. What model of Ford would it be?
Thank you and they are B250s imported from Colombia
I think that’s the same truck I seen on Facebook marketplace. Beautiful truck.
Probably
MASSIVE BEAST 🤠🤟🪓
Very cool 😎
thanks
Love that camper, looks so retro & clean!
Thanks it is cool
I first seal up everything on the camper that way you no it's water tight then I check out everything under the truck make sure everything is safe like the break lines and last I change oil ...
Great job man!! Love to see all the cool stuff!
Thanks
I have seen a camper like that before.it feel like going back to the 70s in that camper. Leave it as
That's a very rare truck leave it original as much as possible
Ha ha love your wife's reaction not my style . My wife would have had the same reaction. I love it, paint the interior white or white ever you choose, recover seat cushions and it will brighten it up. solar panels on the roof and some batteries plus electrics and good to go
Right on!
That is 70s avocado green, but it was probably stained wood paneling when new.
Probably
OMG love those trucks
Damn that’s so beautiful
After getting it mechanically sound, and fixing the cosmetic damage, I'd install high quality LED headlights and tail lights. That green interior color in the camper was very popular in the 70s but I think it would look much better with a more modern interior . Keep it retro but still add some up to date touches. I wouldn't repaint the cab but I'd definitely add some stripes to the camper's exterior section that would match the cab. It is probably ruff on gas so I'd consider a modern powertrain to help with fuel mileage and reliability. Depending on your budget of course. But maybe a diesel.
All great ideas
Don’t change anything. Leave it alone.
There was one for sale near me recently. It went super quick.
When they are good they usually do
Avocado green 1970s indeed🤠
Every time
Es muy linda!! Impecable!! Q la disfrutes mucho con tu familia!!!
My brother has this exact same camper, but the rv inerior is tan and red tweed, and black interior for the truck. Wanna say its a 428 FE,
That’s too cool, would love o see some photos. My email is sl@fordera.com
Leave it like it is
why
Beautiful truck man
The overhead is comprimised. The wood may be rotted and you'll not be able to attach the siding and rail.You. will have to replace the floor the mattress sits on.Additionally, the entrance sides on the left felt wet.I'd bet the roof leaks. This is big, better get it to an RV shop. While there they can tell you more about what you'really about to get into.Good luck
That’s what I was thinking also
I have someone coming to look
that should be fun to store inside!
Haha yea right inside storage like in rich
Holy cow! That is sweet! When you tired of it, I will be happy to take it off your hands, lol!
I’m sure that time will come
Add white to the cab you know that 78,79 2 tone style, The canister with the fuses is Not a film canister (they are black and shorter yes I'm that old) That stuff under the dash is part of the cruise to control and to disengage it (Yep im still that old). It needs New wheels and E rated tires And a lil TLC. Nice buy, I want one as well. No to 4x4.
Thanks for the tips Eric
A Time Machine.
If the Truck and Camper are original Leave them the hell alone man 😂 kill the value and the Vintage Vibe Leave It Alone man!
I put a 2 inch lift kit and good truck tires on 2010 minivan. No regrets
Heck yea
