Found an 84 242 Turbo for my Uncle in Hollywood Florida not to far from where I live. Bought it for 600 bucks. He was supposed to have it shipped to him in Massachusetts but let his Brother in Fort Lauderdale keep the car in his back yard. Long story short, the car rotted and I’m pissed because I should have just got the vehicle for MYSELF 😢! It was a B21ft I believe. Had the old Mechanical fuel injection similar to the K-Jetronic I had on my 85 Saab which I drove in Highschool.
I thought for a second those were GTA wheels but straight fit, they're great! Also the deep dish steels on the wagon are fantastic! What wheels are on the white 244? Serious wheel action going on! Great videos!
Your dedication to the marquee is admirable. Driving without brakes, registration and inspection reminds me of my youth when I had determination and few brain cells. Enjoy your videos.
Subscribed! I cannot believe I found this channel 😮! Imma go back and binge watch EVERYTHING 😂! Volvo is my first love. My mom’s side of the family always had 240’s when I was a kid and Ioved visiting my Uncle up in Massachusetts during the summer cuz he was a Volvo nut! But at age 41 I still haven’t had the chance to own one yet. I’ve always settled for Mk2 and Mk3 Volkswagens as a pacifier.
@@kevinruger8819 WELCOME TO THE CHANNEL!!!! I think you will like it around here :) old Volvos are a bit maintenance heavy for daily duty BUT they will indeed do it better than most older cars!! Enjoy!
Love the ride along vids! The suspension seems to be working pretty well - more than enough to handle the amount of power produced and she seems like she's going where she's pointed. Nicely done!
Fantastic video Dean. That is truly a beautiful car. Today I did some floorpan work on my 164. Progress has been slow for me, but I'm glad to have gotten something accomplished✌️
Great to see you having a good time in the mountains dude, hope you enjoyed your vacation and didn't hear one damn leaf blower! The car came together real good man looks frikkin sweet 🤘

Here in sweden we have scrapped to many old volvos cause of age not cause they are finnished as working cars. That gets the price of simular cars like yours to get up in price. Of course salted roads in winter and owners who only driven not and not washed and take care of their cars made rustcancer to eaten up them. Nice colour on your car and the best of all rims. /greetings from Sweden.

@@DeanofMachines I appreciate what you’re doing with all these cars. Where I live, there are very few of them and nobody tinkers with them, but me and a couple of others. We’re not all in the same place though. Keep rocking.
Almost didn't make it this year!! Happy I made the decision to trailer this year and tinker on the car in the mountains. Unfortunately I spent a ton of time working on the warwagon out of necessity. It was suppose to be the reliable chase car...

You're a lucky man. I would be nervous - if my wife called me honey ... Especially when she asks how it feels to be a genius. I would be more comfortable by her just calling me a nerd. Then things are back to normal - she doesn't know why, how or what I'm doing - nor does she care except for never understanding why you would be getting your hands dirty doing some shady tree mehanics - especially when there are professional workshops down the road you could pay for not having to curse and swear like a drunken sailor... But old cars and vehicles are like a marriage - you cry both when it works and when it doesn't - and don't tell my wife - they both cost a bloody fortune... Well it's almost like a cease fire - I don't ask what her things cost - she doesn't ask what my things cost. You know you've done well when you get to keep your vintage stereo and loudspeakers...
I think we can all agree that in the wife/Best friend/ bad ass department. You scored big time! She is right beside you. Very Very fortunate people!
Shes always down for my ridiculous shenanigans!
Smiling through the entire video. Making this car work and look as good as it did? CUDOS!
