- This car has been sitting for 6 or 7 years and we dragged it home, cleaned it up and have offered to any takers out there!

Definitely rough around the edges but it's a great color and a good runner for someone that just needs a solid ride.

This is the kind of video I love on UA-cam
An enthusiast that's buying cars that he loves and resurrecting them to go back on the road
Well done Dean 👏
Just a guy playing with old Volvos! Cheers Phil!
@@DeanofMachines that's perfect to me
Wow that really cleaned up nice! Amazing that it ran with minimal effort. I installed a reproduction factory hood liner from Swedish Auto Parts yesterday in my 92. I'm expecting a 20 horsepower increase!
We really are not surprised it ran. Kinda hurt the excitement of the video LOL. Anywho, we need to find it a nee home!
The judges have weighed in on that magnificent dismount from the trailer. The US and Canadian judges gave it a 9.5, the Swedish judge a 9.6, the Norwegian judge abstained and the East German judge gave it an 8.3. Seriously though, well done! If you can't keep 'em, rehome 'em!
Its funny how difficult it is to aim a car with 3 flat tires. Ill work on my dismount lol
@@DeanofMachines Cars are just so complicated...
dirty Volvo cleanup is becoming a staple of this channel. maybe a name change? Dean of Cleanup? Cleanup of Machines? Dean of Junkyards? ok, maybe not.... Great video.
Clean of Machines! Someone make the tshirt!
Never seen so many 240 even here in sweden😅keep them coming❤
I love 240s!!!!
Seen alot of them around northern Sweden though.
Nice clean up Dean! Amazing how they turn up so nice after a powerwash ! And that she runs so nice! Thanks for giving this 240 a second/third or sixt chance! I have so much nice memories of these 240’s it was my dad’s favorite car ! Hé sadly passed away 3 years ago . Keep up the good work Dean! And like always 👍🏻👍🏻 🆙
Arie! Sorry to hear of his passing my friend! These cars hold a special place in a lot of hearts!
That’s for sure! That’s why i appreciate your channel so much! 🫶
Yey! It's sunday volvo entertainment time! With my favourite volvo enthusiast! Oh Dean, it's so heart warming to see all those 240s just run after some minimal effort. This one cleaned up so nicely! Love the interior! And steelies with hubcaps fit perfect! Perfect sunday! Thanks Dean for delivering! ❤💥💯👋
Welcome back Marcin! Sunday is Funday around here!!
That 240 is very saveable. The body look to be in great shape... Impossible to find Volvos in that kind of shape around here... Except if it was stored in a barn...
The front is a little bent but I might be able to straighten it out.
You missed a spot.
But then you got it. I can relax now.
Great find, in amazing shape
It's a nice little car!
You guys are the best Volvo whisperers 😊
I love whispering sweet nothings to these bricks!
Good looking car and running nicely, all things considered. Steel wheels were the right call.
Its a little rough but maybe it’s savable?
Прекрасный ВОЛЬВО,,,спасибо что даёте машинам вторую жизнь,такие авто должны приносить владельцам радость❤❤❤
It will be happy in a new home! Someday soon.
What a beast! I even said to Mrs S I bet that just fires up and it did! Love the colour to. Great video dude! Maybe one day we can hang out and do Volvo things 👍
I like the way that sounds! We can find you a 240 somewhere!
@@DeanofMachines yeah boi! It’s the dream! 240 to sit with the amazon one day.
We will make the trip over there one day dude
@@SimpsonsClassicsI would also like a trip to the States and recover classic Volvo parts!
Another terrific video from dry wit and quirky jokes man, and his lovely 240 of course, cheers mate.
Thanks Karl! This 240 needs a home!
those black steelies with the chrome caps is mint!
Definitely a good look for this one!
Keep the videos coming Brother all great stuff!!!
Thanks Peter! I’m doing the best I can!!
That's the blue-green metallic. It was available until 1998. The '93 240 Classic was only available in this or the ruby red.
Its a great color!
That '92 245 that I had a few years back did something similar. You'd check the oil at a gas station, and nothing on the dipstick. Check it a few hours later, oil all the way up to the seal on the dipstick. It eventually decided to puke oil everywhere. Even lubricated the passenger front Virgo rim that was on the car at the time. Never did find the oil leak. Cam seal was dry, as were the other front oil seals, which were all the modern Volvo gray seals.
I's the great Volvo mystery of the indecisive oil!
@@DeanofMachines lol, that's one way to put it...
An old 240 what a wonderful daily driver that could be I’m intrigued 😊
Its a nice little car! I’ve been driving it as an errand car the past week or so. Rough around the edges but keeps on truckin!
Love the progress on your channel and all the small editing stuff you’re getting into. Keep it coming!
Thank you! I appreciate the love. Its been a lot of work but im enjoying it!!
Sunday night is Volvo time. Another one saved 🙂
Enjoy your evening!!
Hi Dean, a local Volvo dealer in my suburb insists that there is still a market for the 240 and its derivatives.
Given the "disposable" nature of some vehicle manufactures product range at the moment, I tend to agree with his assertion!
There absolutely is a market for 240s!
What another lovely Volvo
It could be yours if you want it!!
@@DeanofMachines trouble is, Dean, i live in Brittany(France).!!!!
Great episode 👏
Thank you very much!
Love your videos, keep it up.
Thank you! Someday Ill dig out the TDI Commando.
After a clean it looks a million dollars.!
A fine automobile!
i guess the mold protected the paint, it really came back nicely. That would be a nice car to ride around town in. Lmk if you ever find a 60's p1800s or a 73 1800 es.
You might struggle to get that one from me!
ya those are like a unicorn@@DeanofMachines
@@donsmith8614 exactly! Only having less horns! Antler? Is it a horn or an antler?
i'd say horn@@DeanofMachines
James Bond was probably the former owner.😎👍
Top secret agent guy!
Nice ,maybe U need A Big Red Battery operated INFLATOR..just maybe....Air makes everything thing look better..
You might be on to something there!
I'd be interested in this 240. Does the fan blower work. Can you fill me in with the good bad and ugly
Shoot me an email!
Good evening Deano, i dont know if my hearing aides r too loud or if u had alot of loud noises in tonights video, Lol, keep up the great content my brother!😉
Could be a little of both! I did try to dip the audio when the pressure washer was running and brakes were squealing. Hope all is well!
That’s the same model I had but in beige auto aswell great car
You had yourself a 240?
@@DeanofMachines yes one of the best models ,I had the estate then got the saloon which lasted till the engine died
@@MrDibs9989 sounds like its time for a new one!
Sheesh. Ive seen chips that were less crispy than that marker light
That sounds delicious
It’s Sunday already?
Dang near came and went.
@@DeanofMachines The days blend together lately. I only really know what day it is by people’s YT releases.
Since pressure washing old Volvos seems to be your kink, it might be cheaper to just take your washing gear out to the seller and offer to clean them all versus buying another and dragging it to your place. :-p Just giving ya grief, Dean!
But then I wouldn't have a massive Volvo horde!!!
It came out good lookin.. but the two centercaps is not junk..save them or sell them..i bet someone wants them. Great video and job done 👌
Thank you! Sadly the center caps were brittle :(
@@DeanofMachines Ur welcome. Oh so brittle sad :( even that thick plastic?
@@honda4185 The cap itself was good but the plastic tab/fingers that whole the spring clip broke off :(
@@DeanofMachines Then u should save it anyway. Could always fix that with plastic welder or something or just save them.. they are rare.
@@honda4185 they function by being flexible. Once the plastic is brittle its not doing anyone any good.
SORRY TO AFFECT THE CONTINUITY OF YOUR VIDEO BY HELPING FIX STUFF GOSH.
also that unload off the trailer without it being hooked to the Toyota is absolutely barbaric lol
Some things were unavoidable. LOL
Well, that's one way you can destroy some nice classic rims! 😂
They are bent badly.
@@DeanofMachines yeah, I saw them bending while you drove on them without air in the tires.... 😁
Well, maybe someone else did the same before you and they were already ruined
Beautiful Volvo , well i should say all the volvos that you have in your back yard are nice .How much are you planning to sell it for?
All your videos are nice brother , i love Volvos because my grandfather specialized on european vehicles , but the Volvo was one of his favorite because of the engine and the tough body.
If I could get a grand for it Id be happy!
Flame trap is plugged
Are you suuuuuuure?
what a peach.
It looks better in video. It definitely cleaned up from what it was
I'd be interested in this sedan, where are you located?
Atlanta
Why is the front abit crooked?
Great question! It looks like it was hit in the front at some point.
My fuel pump is twice as loud
They do get quite noisey
where and how do you find these cars??
@@endebtedone typically word of mouth.
do you sell parts?
On rare occasions.
How much are you asking for it?
