With that Bass Pro Hat we need to see a fishing video now! Lets GOoOoOoOO 😀👍🔥😜
Peter, as a 30 something starting out in Ireland my video/photography journey, can I just say you are a great help! Learned so many things from your content and just wanted to say cheers 🤟🇮🇪🍻
New camera day!!!!❤Excited
So clearly Peter is going to be dropping a Matte Box with Polar Pro. Or have I been sleeping under a Rock! 🤣🎥
I was about to comment about that!! Looks pretty slick...
Literally called me out by saying "this is for the content creator who has a canon RP and is looking to upgrade without breaking the bank". Thanks fellow Peter. Thank you.
Such a beast of a camera, but you also make just about any camera look amazing with your skills.
I missed those part when Pete is punching in the air ugh smash that like button. 2022 style! Thanks for this review Pete...
I really like that 6k raw update!! I think that overheating was always a problem while shooting 4k with these canon cameras, i hope they fixed it, otherwise filming for more than 30 min is not valuable..
It's been fixed, he just didn't mention it
@@semahj did he say you can film for 6hrs straight without any issues?
I think 6 hours is record limit more or less but everyone else’s reviews did mention overheating not to be a thing really
@@EugeneKam by 6hours does this mean straight without non stop?
@@royaltykidstv about 40 min 4K 60fps and 6 hours 4K at 30fps nonstop… Given you got card space and battery. So in regular 24-30p it probably will never overheat under normal use
I have the R6 and gosh I love that they added that video to photo switch especially as a sports photographer 😭
Interesting seeing you here!
@@marcoavaldez haha omg hello!
Not Log, Ungraded - looks fantastic! A testament to Canon color science. For a colorblind person who hates to color grade, this is sweet!
Does that mean its just shot in the standard picture profile?
I'm SOLD. Perfect upgrade for my EOS R. And its only $2500!? I paid $1900 for my R a few years ago and now the R6 Mark II is selling for that price plus a few hundred more bucks. GREAT timing canon hahah yasssssss.
With the new 24 MP sensor, did they fix the "yellow-ish" hue a lot of photographers were noticing on the Mark 1?

Yessss to the dedicated photo/video toggle button.
So glad they added the switch between a stills and video. Hopefully making hybrid shooting a bit easier. I hated not having the ability to set custom video settings on the 3 custom dials on the R6.
This is also the most annoying thing about the R6 for me. Has this been fixed on the R6II?
@@34crustydemon from what I can tell from videos, I’m not sure if you’re able to set custom video settings to the dial. But since you have the photo/video switch, it should still be a little easier to switch between video and stills in an instant. What I am hoping is that you can set your custom dials in stills and video mode separately.
@@the.jonfernandez thanks Bro I hope so.
I just want to cut that part where Pete is making those 40fps noises and watch it on repeat all day long!
Killer video Pete, as usual.
Quick question though. In your opinion… would you step up to the MkII from an R6 or just bite the bullet and go to an R5 / R5C?
R3 is still a bit out of my price range.
Hi Peter. When you used the words "wish list" it triggered me back in time to the early 1970's and on my wish list was a Hasselblad.
Does he know Nikon Z9 can do 8K Raw internally? Needing an external recorder for RAW isn’t really a standard anymore 😅
This would be a great upgrade from my 90D. Might upgrade this year 😁👍🏻
Most of the features could be applied to the original R6 with a firmware update. Let's see if Canon really care about its customers.
so true!
That won’t happen. Canon’s job is to make lots of cameras and lenses and make you buy lots of cameras and lenses. If it makes sense to upgrade go for it, otherwise make great pictures with what you have. New features will always make you want it and that’s just life. There’s no excuses with any modern camera, they all do a good job.
😂
Yeah I’m sure Canon will update a first Gen camera to specs of a new camera they’re trying to sell. Happens all the time
@@sinjon bro what are you talking about. remember when they opened up all options with magic lantern....oh wait...ur right
I feel like I’ve been waiting for this exact camera to be released! 👌
the EOS 5D Mark II was 2.249€ (probably roughly the same in $) when it came out. The original 5D did cost 2.150€. After a few months u could get one for way under 2k. So either ur memory is way off, or somebody scammed the heck out of u. Also u could buy it anywhere, where they sell cameras, at least here in Europe.
he i talking at the beginning about the 5dmk2, then toward the end about original 5d in the sam sentence and ads them the price of the 1dmk2 that he bought...Peter it is time for some Ginseng tea 😆
He is probable talking in CA$😅
My beloved mentor! I missed you, Pete! I am sending love from Europe!
My only question is does it have improved color science from the original R6? I know the original had more of an orange color temp compared to any other canon camera.
clips shown on video were ungraded, if you have R6 or had a chance to use it, please do compare and let us know, if you see any difference
every canon sensor is a bit different and has a different colours. even the 5dmk4 compared to R is different and they share same sensor with some little tweaks on the R. I think the same goes for all camera brands. I have both the R5 and R6 and I prefer the colour of the R6 so I guess that is also subjective.
I'm totally diggin the bass pro shop hat :) its def a vibe!
Definitely curious about the wobble with the wide angle lenses.
Wasup Peter!
Thank you for such an amazing breakdown of the Canon EOS R6 MK II as I just converted from a Canon EOS 70D, but been so nervous to open the box for almost two weeks now. 😅
Love your energy, enthusiasm and overall delivery of such camera knowledge!
That 4x4 extended Ford excursion is a beast.

Man.... that intro Iceland music almost had me breaking out in the hives!!!!
Great autumn coloured hat 🫡
was contemplating buying this camera the entire day! so I appreciate this video. Order placed.
Really great impression of box noises.
2:16 someone’s really getting into their F1
We are blessed with 2 videos today 😂
Bass pro shop! Are you becoming a bass angler now as well? Can’t wait for those videos man! 🥳
Looks great! Would love to see more videos on Leica tho👀
Wow, have you heard of the Tornado EOS utility program for Canon cameras? It's worth a try, super user-friendly.
Sound effects on point Pete
Funny you mention it…. I’m THAT person who shot a Canon R and upgraded to the R6 Mkii this week. Exactly for the reasons you mentioned!
New camera day!!!!❤
That Stretched Excursion wow!
Nice hat. Just took my son there to BP for the first time, amazing place. Great video as always
New camera day!
Thanks for the update. I see the 135 on there are we gonna get some info on it too?
Good video. Big Thanks. I just got to say that rant about the 5D killed me, this destroys that, man, im excited to see the new mirrorless coming. sounds like this is the step-down version of the r5 with the r3 options at 24.4mp heck, the flagship 1dx 2 and 3 has less and performs like a beast. looking good.
That's an amzing offering by Canon 🖤🖤

Me.
They made it for me.
Thanks! Great review as always 🤘🏻
Love how honest you are Peter it’s hard to find these days. Appreciate you buddy.
As a Fujifilm shooter, I absolutely hate flip out screens. I much more prefer the 3 way hinge design in the X-T series. Love you Pete!

Awesome vid as always 🔥
"Who's this for?" Me. It's for me.
I'm upgrading from an RP for concert photography with some video sprinkled in. I cannot WAIT. It will be here Wednesday!!
Perfect person . Good attitude good explanation awesome video and shots . Take care
5:02 😂 You represent the voice of the world well, Pete!
A good ole PM vlog is coming....
Think I’m sold! Give us more from the Iceland trip Pete !
I have the R6. Great camera. Love it. I hate when they release an update. I want it. Don't need it. BUT DEFINITELY WANT IT
Brother seems to be canon lover
Should I step up from the original R6?
I didn’t expect a Canon R6 Mark II that soon…
I’ve just uploaded a video on how I’ve (almost) got rid of the overheating issue on the R6 😅
Pumpin out the content Pete
That camera looks so clean 🤤🤤
