Damage. That's pretty much it. Usually, its rust. In my case, the engine mount ripped off the subframe. Usually an accident. I have replaced 2 in the last 5 years. The second time was debris left on the highway. A ball hitch with a hook managed to tear the subframe. I'm now doing my kids focus. Rust...sucks, but hitting crap and bending the crap out of it...
