Interesting to note... I found the Manti's secret mission slate on a Spacer randomly on a planet. I think just ANY Spacer has a chance to spawn it, not just ones from the station.
I just randomly found the note after a random fight on a planet. I followed the note and got the sweet rewards. Great little side quest, and the pirates running away from "The Mantis" during random space fights is nice
After you finish the 'Space Frog' mission, while on Cydonia you can hear over the loud speaker that graffiti is illegal and results in a hefty fine, but the the space frogs are allowed to stay, and people are to stop taking them down. I thought that was a nice touch.
I enjoyed the little side activity on Mars where you have to climb way up to the top of the structure to place a beacon to track the criminal. It was like a little mini platforming/climbing activity in the game. Super random which made it kind of cool
The first time I did it, it was real hard to figure out the route to climb. The second time I had the route down pat and it was much easier. The third time I did it my jetpack was so good I just flew up to the top. 🚀

@@GannaGame I’ve had it happen to me a lot. I had to change ships because I wanted more ship combat. There’s some reading material in the mantis cave that talks about the cockpit being the part of the ship that’s iconic, so if you’ve changed that then you probably lose the unique encounter if that lore holds up.
I've had it happen several times now. Even had one guy who as going to attack my ship hail me down first when he saw I was in the Mantis and apologize. I told him to give me all of his credits and get out of there before I changed my mind. Made a nice little chunk of change on that one lol.
So far had it happen to me once. We started fighting it was 2 against me. And they both fled before i can get them halfway. I was sad because i wanted to capture their ship lol
This is nice. So tired of the videos crapping on this game. Its a decent game and to be honest i needed something new that wasnt a FPS/Battle Royal / loot/shoot type game.
A hint: don’t watch videos and go in blind for future new games. I always do this and if I like the game, I keep playing. If I don’t like it, I watch videos to check what the public opinion is before I sell the game. Trust me, this is much better than listening to others. I missed out on a lot of games which I had really fun with later. Everyone is different and likes other things. Only if a game is broken, is it a different story.
@@rando653 sadly nowadays people just forget to think for themselves. The "Secret Outpost!" slate is not exclusive to the Nova Galactic Shipyard. I found it on a dead Spacer at an abandoned scrapyard on Kreet (I explored other locations before taking care of the Crimson Fleet captain during that first Main Quest).
Yeah, blowing up an entire colony ship is definitely the darkest moment I've experienced. Besides Vasco, literally everyone will hate you for it though.
I did this option, you don’t really get anything from doing it. 6500 credits and some resort privileges. Whatever that entails, definitely woulda quick saved and did a different option if I remembered too! 😂
Titan was one of the first places I went Thursday night when early access launched. Since it's the most probable place for biological life of some sort in our solar system I wanted to see what Starfield did w/ it. I talked to literally everyone that I could during the tour. There's a girl living in shipping crates that is scraping by while also trying to get her degree. I felt super bad for her and gave her 20k credit (alot for me as early as I went to Titan). Turns out at around 50 hours into the game I came across her again post college degree. Turns out she's now crew on my ship because her skills were undeniable. Full circle moment, I invested in her taking a chance and it paid off later. There's also a family who wants to explore space but the father is stuck to tradition staying on Titan. I talked space and new atlantis up making the wife and daughter super excited, so I wont be surprised to see them outside of Titan at some point.
No Groundhopper? This was one of the best Bethesda game quests I’ve ever played. Seeing the UC and Freestar Rangers fighting together was so wholesome.
Thanks. Just finished Starfield today and spent nearly 200 hours on it and found every one of these quests myself, apart from the Tourists Go Home quest you have at number 3. Going to have a go at this 😊
Kinda sucks though, because that Mantis armour will probably be the only armour you wear the whole game! I’m level 33 and only find trash gear. The mantis is probably hands down one of the best early on
In Oblivion, there is an umarked quest, where if you find the supplier for Skooma ( only appears once a week at a certain spot only if you find all the clues about it/his/her identity), and end them, Skooma stops being found all over the map from shops and spawns. That is unless YOU now go to the dead drop, pick it up the Moondust, and give it to the distributor, who makes the Skooma for the whole region, then it becomes available all over the map again.
The note that starts Mantis can be found on any spacer. Doesn't have to be in the Nova Galactic shipyard. It's just a random drop. Probably best rewards in the game for early levels. You can do Mantis at level 6 (I did), though it's TOUGH. Lvl 30 enemies at lvl 6 are nothing to sneeze at. Bring LOTS of medpacks.
Pro tip on the Aurora manufacturing quest-you are not only rated on time, but also by taking the correct ingredients from each box, not all of the ingredients. Hense the "smuggling" aspect of the operation. Your ingredients have been smuggled with other items and you just need to pull the right amount out.
I started the crimson fleet mission, got distracted by the spacers mission on my way to the key and now before going to alstair II, I am figuring out the mantis mission. So many side quests ❤️
For Barrett’s side quest you get $30,000 at the end, also while in the same town talking to lawyer you will be sent to talk to bartender who has her own quest line looting a ship for liquor but you will find a lot of good stuff.

It started with just collecting 5 pieces of iron and ended with possibly blackmailing the mayor of mars and solving a theft mystery. I’m the end I got a mining suit set with a custom skin… this game is great.
I haven't watched this video but will come back to it after I put down my first playthrough. My favorite random encounter so far has been the Juno space ship.
Very good video. After several days looking at reviews and reading about Starfield I think that the missions are the best thing about this game. At least in this section Bethesda is still one of the best.
I have been addicted to this game for over a week now. I had one annoying bug with Xbox cloud gaming that deleted my save and restored a much earlier save making me lose about 20 hours of gameplay or more, but it’s actually been enjoyable getting back to where I was. It wasn’t identical too. Missions and interactions this “second” time around were in a different order and some even new ones (I got the crucible one a few hours ago for the first time and now have Amelia as a companion). People who are saying this game is basically “Skyrim in Space” have no idea what they’re talking about (and have probably not even played the game fully, you need to sink 100’s if not 1,000’s of hours into Starfield to get the whole experience). I’ve played the shit out of skyrim multiple times. It’s probably one of the single player games I’ve got the most time on, but Starfield is a whole new thing. They are different on a fundamental level, yes they may share some things, but what games made by the same company don’t?
Ahhh I want to watch this so bad, but I’d like to experience these missions first hand myself first. Love seeing Starfield content tho, keep it coming!
They used to just point you in the right direction but lately, as early as hogwarts legacy, they’ve just been blatantly spoiling the endings and rewards… also not to mention the misinformation of at least one or two things in each video😭 what happened to their quality
I stumbled across that mantis quest almost the the very start of my adventure... i was SO excited at the end thinking i had some super dope armor, then i hop on YT and within days theres hella vids on getting the mantis stuff lol😂
This is what I tried to tell a streamer who was like “game bad” but he was doing no quests to side quests 😂 If a streamer is shitting on the game but they have not done any quests they are farming you for hate watching 😂
IE “ game bad “ ohh? Why is it bad “ I’ve been walking on this planet for hours “ or “ I’ve been wandering around after starting the game and ignoring everything and everyone “ 😅 ohh? So you are actually trying to create hate content ok then
Streamers are not reliable when it comes to opinions. They intentionally try to shit on games to get clicks; this isn't just the case for Starfield, but for most games.
Facts bro. This game is amazing. Most of the reviews who are trashing Starfield are just straight up lying. It’s just bandwagon type of hate coming from these haters. I’ve never seen this kind of hate with Diablo 4 or Cyberpunk before. Like, how can Blizzard be hated far less than Bethesda? Doesn’t make sense to me man… oh well. We keep the haters up at night 😂
Anyone on the fence about the game because of what they have been reading, do yourself a favor and get the game. It's pretty incredible in my opinion and the good far outweigh the bad.
@@Shmew455r a sale really, the game is on Game pass. I know you want to take a cheap shot at the game but price is probably the easiest hurdle to play.

Good list, I have done most of these and love them. The Mantis quest slate can drop off any spacer, by the way. Doesn't have to be on the shipyard...that is just a place you normally come across them early and will always have spacers...and will always drop the slate.
@@Zeptre_ so each playthrough raises it? Cool! I had been wondering about that (still on playthrough 1) Do they say anything strange about you already having it maxed the 5th time around?
This game is so easy to sit down and say “oh I’ll just do this mission/explore this area then I’ll get up and doing something irl, it’ll just be like 30 mins” and then it’s several hours later
So... I first found the slate for the Mantis questline when I was taking out the Spacers on the space station for the LIST settlers of Tau Ceti. Then, I found another while clearing the Deep Mines of Mars for the Vanguard quest line. I'm pretty sure it's just randomly generated on Spacers after a certain amount of in-game time or a certain number of Spacer kills.
Great set of strange missions.....Nice one, Cheers !! I love developers that go the extra mile like this and add these types of things into their games, I can only hope though, that Bethesda has hidden quite a few of these strange missions dotted around the distant planets and moons.....For example.....We scan a planet / moon and it seems like it's a barren wastland BUT if we decide to land and look around, we come across someone that's been hiding by having the ability to block all types of planet scans and they give us a series of cool missions to play through which reward us with unique items etc. etc. Basically, there's a crap load of procedurally generated planets and moons out there and it would be really cool if they've hidden some secret missions and quests for us to stumble across for some rare and cool rewards.....Fingers crossed that they have actually done this !!
There are some side quests on the procedurally generated planets like Earth for instance. There was one quest revolving around the Empire State Building in the remains of America. But from what I can tell they're kinda hard to find.
Lots of people hating on this game unnecessarily across the Internet. I enjoyed my 200+ hours I put into it, and I didn't even find that bonus clones side quest! A quest that wasn't mentioned was the one where you're teleporting between the past and the future and by the end, you basically have to decide on the elimination of one of the two timelines by killing one man or killing an entire colony of scientists. True sci-fi dillemas in this game, it is and will become a classic Bethesda title.
To note: Save your file before opening the Mantis suit case. It's randomly generated stats, so if it comes out less than optimal you can try again.. and again
Got super lucky with the mantis quest.......haven't left New Atlantis with Sarah yet, I've gotten to rank 10 doing side quests and exploring the area outside the city and found a group of 6-7 spacers hanging out in a POI on the other side of lake that's outside of the wall behind the lodge and one of them had the "Secret outpost" note!!! 😂😂😂 You don't need to get it at the ship yard, just random encounters with spacers OH AND CHECK THE ROOM to the right of the mantis display because people have been getting a better armor set from there!
everyone knew the game would not have this for such a long time lol. there are plenty of good reasons why people might not like the game, but people hating on this like its the most important thing are just annoying lol
I can see why people have issues with that but at the same time you can still space travel and you go to planet to planet on your ship so it's not as much of an issue to me as this is clearly an RPG first and foremost.
No Man's Sky, Fallout 4, The Outer Worlds... It fits in to the list of games I enjoyed for hours. Now hoping to getting Starfield on PS6 or 7 some day in the future...
The reward for the space frogs side-quest is not just that you can craft them, it's that you keep hearing NPCs talk about space frogs all the time as you're exploring. There's an announcement on loudspeakers in Cydonia that asks people to stop reporting the space frog posters as vandalism because "the artist" has special permission. Yesterday I landed on Titan and someone told me they liked the space frog posters they now have at the base. It never ends.
Side note on the Juno quest... as you left the 2 operatives a speech subtitle appeared from Operative Khambatta. Persis Khambatta played Illia, the navigator turned into a drone by V'Ger
QUESTION: Have you yet done the multi-part mission that involves Captain Myeong? I'm trying not to say more so as not to spoil it, but it's great, and has a second part/'epilogue' in space! Thanks for the video!!
“The Audition” was such a great mission. And I found Mantis early in my first playthrough and wow, it was a huge boost - and fun as hell. The only faction quest I didn’t do was Ryujen, because to me corpo = boring, but I’m definitely gonna go play it now!
Oh I also wanted to add if you haven't tried it, but for the system I was in, I encountered him at a sensor contact. At another planet I saw a ship icon so after taking some credits from him I followed your steps and then headed to the other planet. Ran into a dogfight, after looting the ships, I went back and spacer was still there and tried this trick, it was still working! So I think you can come back to this spot as long as you don't select the option to let the ship fly off
My favorite quest so far is the UC Vanguard quest. Well, I guess it's considered to be a faction quest but it's still my favorite. Just enough creepy with the story to keep you on edge a little. And you get access to a place you wouldn't get without the quest. Plus, you get a cool spacesuit and an awesome penthouse.
if you wear the tardigrade costume when you make first contact with the ship above paradiso and walk around the ship with it you get some funny unique dialogue. It's a nice little detailed touch that I wish they put more of in the game.
When you're on number 4 - save before doing the last missions where the two gangs fight it out. Oner of the possible random loot drops from looting the bodies is the Disciples outfit. If it doesn't drop just reload and try again. You could end that short quest line with both the Strikers and Disciples outfits. Both outfits are unique and masked.
Say what you want about starfield, but this game is filled with deep and amazing faction and side quests. I am 40 hours in and still have a huge backlog of side quests and am probably just halfway through the main quest
it’s a frame of mind for starfield. it’s fallout in space. looking at it in that view point changes everything about the game. for me makes it way more fun that way.

Haven't played the game yet but I'm really loving how much Starfield content you guys are putting out. Never a dull upload.
I'm rank 22 and just finishing the main intro story and I've barely scratched the surface lol
@@jaymac7203 lmao I'm currently rank 22 as well
I enjoyed the little side activity on Mars where you have to climb way up to the top of the structure to place a beacon to track the criminal. It was like a little mini platforming/climbing activity in the game. Super random which made it kind of cool
The first time I did it, it was real hard to figure out the route to climb. The second time I had the route down pat and it was much easier. The third time I did it my jetpack was so good I just flew up to the top. 🚀
That mission reminded me of Far Cry 3 back in the day lol
Some of these side missions are absolutely wild and worth it.. i recommend the UC vanguard quest chains as there really good & stretch out to 6-8 hrs depending.. no spoliers but you can grab some dope legendary loot here.
man if you’re talking about the terramorph quest i genuinely think i might’ve messed up started my game with it because i don’t think i’ll enjoy the rest of the game as much😂
@@JohnnyDang117 yeah I didn't think the mission was gonna take so freaking long to complete! I was like shhhit I'm not gonna be able to finish this in one night xD but it's one of the best faction missions I've played yet.
@@JohnnyDang117bruh my new atlas got attacked by these terramorphs and I didnt even went talking to Sarah to begin the first main mission lmao
I completed it yesterday
The Freestar Rangers side quest chain is well worth doing too, especially for the great ship you get at the end.
I did the alien costume quest on Titan, but also while I was on Titan, I said why not, let's do the museum tour! I can't believe this game had what felt like an hour long museum tour coded in the game. And it felt 100% legit with probable topics.
All this was discovered was because it's Saturn season for us nerds with telescopes and I've been obsessed with Saturn.
Saturn is retrograde rn along with uranus
That tour was pretty awesome too
Some of these side quests sound really fun, thanks for bringing this to us!
👍🏼
Spacers and Crimson fleet are scared of the mantis ship and will fly away instead of fight you if you're using the Mantis ship too.
wait is this true? ive been using the mantis and literally not ONCE has this happend to me literally like 4 hours ago i got wrecked by a spacer (yes it was in my mantis)
@@brocktucker7790 ohhhh interesting, i may have done that tbh, thank you
I've had it happen several times now.
I wanted to play Diablo IV with a friend but he checked the Metascore user rating (2.0, it’s really bad) and decided not to get it. The game’s not great but still: I just can’t understand that people don’t wanna try things out before they form an opinion
It's a decent game but it's definitely not their best work.
The "Secret Outpost!" slate is not exclusive to the Nova Galactic Shipyard. I found it on a dead Spacer at an abandoned scrapyard on Kreet (I explored other locations before taking care of the Crimson Fleet captain during that first Main Quest).
I found mine on Kreet also.
pk cus i searched every inch of this place and cant find it.... maybe its elsewhere in my run
It's a random spawn on enemies@@thecellardoor54543
You find it everywhere
For First Contact there is a third option. You can overload their reactor and blow em all up. Kinda reminded me of Megaton in FO3.
Yeah, blowing up an entire colony ship is definitely the darkest moment I've experienced. Besides Vasco, literally everyone will hate you for it though.
I'm gonna take the third option on my second or third playthrough
I did this option, you don’t really get anything from doing it.
6500 credits and some resort privileges.
Whatever that entails, definitely woulda quick saved and did a different option if I remembered too! 😂
@@robertashmore1942I had no companions with me when I did it, so no one knew 😂😭
I did it the first time i got on the ship before I talked to anyone other than the captain and I didnt lose anything from Sarah!
Startfiled is for sure the best open world game I have played. I can never predict what comes next and that's very exciting
Just went there cause of this comment, thanks. This game is so big that it is like a completely new world with its own cool little mysteries.
Where did you run into her again?
No Groundhopper? This was one of the best Bethesda game quests I’ve ever played. Seeing the UC and Freestar Rangers fighting together was so wholesome.
In the Tree quest, you don't have to steal the branch. You can persuade the lady in the museum to just give it to you.
She really didn't want to give that branch up at all
Thanks.
Just finished Starfield today and spent nearly 200 hours on it and found every one of these quests myself, apart from the Tourists Go Home quest you have at number 3.
Going to have a go at this 😊
I was so glad I came across to Mantis quest so early in the game , level 7 with a Legendary suit and spaceship 😎
I didn't have enough gas to get out there but I will make my way soon
I am not sure what everyone is talking about. This game has almost become my home. This game is everything I wanted it to be.
I was a little skeptic about all the hype but it was worth it. And now I think I need that addiction relief stim. 😂
For Barrett’s side quest you get $30,000 at the end, also while in the same town talking to lawyer you will be sent to talk to bartender who has her own quest line looting a ship for liquor but you will find a lot of good stuff.
If you want to avoid details here's the list of names:
Breach of Contract
Junos Gambit
Space Frogs from Outer Space
A Tree Grows in New Atlantis
Sabotage
Loose Ends
The Audition
Tourists go Home
First Contact
Mantis
I did this unprompted quest on mars where I had to ask the manager at the mining cite if he had any work available. It started with just collecting 5 pieces of iron and ended with possibly blackmailing the mayor of mars and solving a theft mystery. I’m the end I got a mining suit set with a custom skin… this game is great.
Falcon is the best. Love all of your little comments.

It's GOTY, This and Tears of the Kingdom.
Not at the level of RDR2, but I haven't been glued to a game since that one. I'm loving every moment of playing Starfield.
@7:45 Good to see Steve Harvey's lineage is still going strong.

I stopped watching about 30 seconds in for the same reason
They used to just point you in the right direction but lately, as early as hogwarts legacy, they’ve just been blatantly spoiling the endings and rewards… also not to mention the misinformation of at least one or two things in each video😭 what happened to their quality
Watch the first 5 sec of every number so you have the name, then go find out yourself! That’s how i do it
@@Soradakanizat that’s good advice honestly I’ve started doing the same
Your avatar wearing the Neon dancer jumpsuit in a VERY SERIOUS BUSINESS MEETING was all I needed to watch the entire thing.
I'm literally lost in the game there are just so many missions to go to and side missions are interesting so far. Really love the game.

I found the slate for mantis quest literally on Kreet. Fresh from touchdown I straight up went exploring, instead of tusling with brogan. Then I cheesed a terrormorph, loot the then-dead-spacer that was running from the monster just a few reloads ago, and the game told me to read.

Ryujin has been my favorite side quests so far, the entire corporate espionage approach is so sick.
Mine too 💯
How, it's so lazy and shit. I just walked into another company HQ, straight through the front door into their office, hacked and planted evidence on the PC in front of everyone and walked out. Glorified fetch quests

@RR-od8hu so, you only did the first quest for Ryujin? Come on now, bro. 🤦🏾♂️
Nah bro, legit all of them. Can not tell me those mechanics were well thought out. The first was legit the most interesting, killing the ex employee. Even then no one was really batting an eye lmao@@Theresnotenough
Also don’t miss entangled, best side quest I’ve hit up, so far. Starfield reminds me of being a kid, I love it
Thats not a side quest its a main quest you have to beat it to progress the main story
Just don’t let Amelia fly the ship.
I honestly think Starfield has the best sidequests Bethesda did since Oblivion. I'm LOVING the game so far!
Oh my God I need more money so I can get this game already.
Get Game Pass and you can play it right away.
Good list, I have done most of these and love them. The Mantis quest slate can drop off any spacer, by the way. Doesn't have to be on the shipyard...that is just a place you normally come across them early and will always have spacers...and will always drop the slate.
The manipulation ability is not only found in the ryujin quest. It's a perk.
But it's deep in the social skill tree and this is just rewarded to you
@peterhans3791 yes, can max the perk too if you do ryujin 4 times over via NG+
@@Zeptre_ so each playthrough raises it? Cool! I had been wondering about that (still on playthrough 1)
Do they say anything strange about you already having it maxed the 5th time around?
This game is so easy to sit down and say “oh I’ll just do this mission/explore this area then I’ll get up and doing something irl, it’ll just be like 30 mins” and then it’s several hours later
So... I first found the slate for the Mantis questline when I was taking out the Spacers on the space station for the LIST settlers of Tau Ceti.
Then, I found another while clearing the Deep Mines of Mars for the Vanguard quest line.
I'm pretty sure it's just randomly generated on Spacers after a certain amount of in-game time or a certain number of Spacer kills.
Loved the editor Daniel's input 😂❤❤
I wonder how many people bought an XBOX to play Starfield 🤔
Good question
That would be rough
PC only, baby.

Maybe don’t spoil every mission.
Love it so far. Mantis is a must do
Weird side quests ? I think I took Weird Wanderer as one of my traits...
Might have to buy a Xbox to play this game
I did, was worth it, halo is cool too
You don’t have to steal the branch. But yes that quest was really sweet, I loved how long it kept going
To note: Save your file before opening the Mantis suit case. It's randomly generated stats, so if it comes out less than optimal you can try again.. and again
Just like The Witcher 3, it's the side quests with great stand alone stories that make a game like this great.
👍🏼
I’m not buying another Bethesda game until they change the engine!
Won't happen
Then don’t quietly 🤫
Then dont. I don’t care?
Why watch a video about the game then?
😂 It's okay, Others will.
😂😂😂 You don't need to get it at the ship yard, just random encounters with spacers
OH AND CHECK THE ROOM to the right of the mantis display because people have been getting a better armor set from there!
The ultimate side quest? Getting the game to have seemless planet-to-space-to-planet vehicle flight
everyone knew the game would not have this for such a long time lol. there are plenty of good reasons why people might not like the game, but people hating on this like its the most important thing are just annoying lol
Now hoping to getting Starfield on PS6 or 7 some day in the future...
what you are going to want to do is miss the whole game -100
The reward for the space frogs side-quest is not just that you can craft them, it's that you keep hearing NPCs talk about space frogs all the time as you're exploring. There's an announcement on loudspeakers in Cydonia that asks people to stop reporting the space frog posters as vandalism because "the artist" has special permission. Yesterday I landed on Titan and someone told me they liked the space frog posters they now have at the base. It never ends.
Starfield is bad.
It's not bad for all the people who like and love it like me.
Saying it's bad shows a bad lack of understanding.
Side note on the Juno quest... as you left the 2 operatives a speech subtitle appeared from Operative Khambatta. Persis Khambatta played Illia, the navigator turned into a drone by V'Ger
Well spotted.
QUESTION: Have you yet done the multi-part mission that involves Captain Myeong? I'm trying not to say more so as not to spoil it, but it's great, and has a second part/'epilogue' in space! Thanks for the video!!
That's one of my favorite sidequests so far! 🥰 I got to run into her (ship) again later, and it was awesome.
So I think you can come back to this spot as long as you don't select the option to let the ship fly off
Awesome! Have done half of these already! The Mantis rewards are wicked!
Do the freestar ranger quest , quite possibly one of the best rewards in the game
if you wear the tardigrade costume when you make first contact with the ship above paradiso and walk around the ship with it you get some funny unique dialogue. It's a nice little detailed touch that I wish they put more of in the game.
always wear the alien costume when boarding the colony ship, its going to be important
Great video!!! I am missing 3 from the main list and the bonus but I will definitely do all this.
Glad I'm not the only one to see the batman-esk theme of the mantis quest
@0:47 where do you find that outfit??? I have the crazy hat that goes with it but can't find the outfit
it’s a frame of mind for starfield. it’s fallout in space. looking at it in that view point changes everything about the game. for me makes it way more fun that way.
