Congrats on the pickup! As for strap suggestions, I've found the Artem Loop-less Sailcloth to really suit these well. They offer 19mm and can be optioned to work with the OEM fat-springbars. Black, Navy Blue, or Grey all would look excellent with this particular colorway, cheers!
My SLA043 is one of my most favorite pieces and just has to be seen in person and worn to be appreciated. I actually love the brighter hue of the ever brilliant steel in the light. Makes it feel that much more special. Being able to say it's "just" a Seiko let's it fly under the radar as well adding to that feeling. One of those if you know, you know pieces. I've found mine to be a strap monster... Looks great on either a Blue Joseph Bonnie tropic, a blue Montreax strap, blue sail cloth, or Blue delugs CTS style strap and deployant. I just love wearing it.
Congrats on the pickup! I have this watch, and love it. Best strap for me hands down is the original Tropic strap in blue. The color matches the dial so well, it appears to be OEM. Also, the bit of flexibility in the strap allows the watch to remain centered on wrist. Enjoy your 62 MAS!
Incredible piece, no doubt, is in my list of purchases 2025..seriously a collector piece,,Congrats on the stunning 62mas .. one of my favorite Seikos... Thanks again for reviewing this magnificent piece ,until next time all the way from St. George Utah....
I have this watch and absolutely love it. For me, the perfect strap is the Meraud Blue tropic strap. I use thicker tip spring bars ordered on ebay. Meraud advised me that the 20mm strap would fit the watch, which is correct. As for the misaligned bezel insert, you might try the method explained by Mark at Long Island Watch using golf grip solvent to avoid scratching the watch.
Thanks! Did you use 1.1mm tips on your spring bars? Also, I thought about using grip solvent and even made a video while giving Mark credit. I might consider it. 😊
Great pickup, it’s a beautiful watch!

Thank you! Artem makes great straps, especially their hydro flex. I really like your SLA017, jealous of your bracelet!
just one more is marathon straps. incredible quality if you intend to use it as a tool watch. I have my 62mas on a marathon 20mm navy black.
@Abhi-ff2cr I had the GSAR and yeah that’s a good rubber option.

It truly is a strap monster! I’m glad it has that going for it when it didn’t come with a bracelet.

Thank you! Can’t go wrong with a classic tropic strap!

Man, that Erika's Originals is my pick of the litter. Looks so good!
Thanks!
Great watch, love the blue in the strap and bezel
Thanks! The strap goes really well together.
I also wish it came with a bracelet- would look great. Thanks for an awesome review!
Thanks for watching!

@@BrokeWatchFanatic Yes, 1.1mm tips
Tropic all the way! That strap you have looks great too though
The beauty of options!
I would stick with a sailcloth strap, personally. Great review!
Good choice! Thanks!
Fellow owner of the SLA043 and congrats on the pickup. Is the Erika’s Original strap you use in the video the 19mm or 20mm version?
Thanks! It is the 20mm hence why you see some excess. I plan on buying it in 19mm on Black Friday to get a better fit.
Congrats but I would get that bezel re-aligned as it would drive me nuts...
Thanks! Eventually, I might have to... smh lol
Great review. I would stick with the strap you have on.
Thank you!
4500?????? For a seiko????????😂😂😂😂😂😂
A fabric strap on a diver? Seriously? 😳
Crazy, right?

Should be on rubber
@pokie6087 I switch it from time to time.

Why would Seiko do this terribly
