Totally agree. I’ve seen too many aunts, uncles, and both sets of grandparents were unhappily married. I’d rather be alone and single than live with someone that treats me like shit. I kid you not, the saddest thing I ever saw, my grandma was making me and the cousins breakfast and broke down in tears when her husband of 60 years started telling her how much he appreciated and loved her, only for her to turn around and see that he was talking to the dog and not her…this woman made him breakfast and had dinner ready and waiting for 70 plus years and he never appreciated it. He would openly flirt with and appreciate strangers over her. You go out to dinner with him and he talks to everyone else. It was one of those marriages where they were miserable but at that point weren’t going to divorce. Looking back he and many of his children are emotionally abusive….I’d rather be single and lonely than married and depressed.
Honestly I'm a dude and I'm not sure what men want from yall at this point. 100% I'd love to get married and have a family, but it takes two people, and if I can't find one single man who can provide the bare minimum (like I'm ready to offer that bare minimum myself and a big surpluss because I've done the work, including being financially stable), then my only option is to remain single. Also, in my experience, when I have accepted men who brought too little to the table they felt insecure and left me, and if they brought more to the table financially then they were too cocky and manipulative playing games and I left them. In either case both groups of men lacked maturity and emotional intelligence. I know there are good guys out there, but they are really hard to find. I know some good guys also struggle finding good women, but those good men are certainly not bitter and blaming women for everything, and focus on what they can control which is their own self-growth and being a good person.

I didn't settle (although some people may think so based on their standards) but I disregarded things that were not deal breakers but only luxuries and got a man who offered qualities that I valued most. For me it was his ability to be a great provider, kind and respectful, dependable, classy, has integrity, highly educated, health conscious, and from a good family. Those were my must haves. Everything else wasn't important.

These days anyone can just label any thing they like as feminine or masculine. Who gave you the guide on what's feminine or masculine? I don't see any other female creature labelling stupidity as being feminine except humans.
Totally agree. I’ve seen too many aunts, uncles, and both sets of grandparents were unhappily married. I’d rather be alone and single than live with someone that treats me like shit. I kid you not, the saddest thing I ever saw, my grandma was making me and the cousins breakfast and broke down in tears when her husband of 60 years started telling her how much he appreciated and loved her, only for her to turn around and see that he was talking to the dog and not her…this woman made him breakfast and had dinner ready and waiting for 70 plus years and he never appreciated it. He would openly flirt with and appreciate strangers over her. You go out to dinner with him and he talks to everyone else. It was one of those marriages where they were miserable but at that point weren’t going to divorce. Looking back he and many of his children are emotionally abusive….I’d rather be single and lonely than married and depressed.
Honestly I'm a dude and I'm not sure what men want from yall at this point. They complain about women sending mixed messages, but I just see it as them returning the energy men have given them for centuries and not being able to take what they dish out based off of my experiences and what I've witnessed. They complain that yall are complicated but from where I'm standing, it looks like men *invented* complicated.

I realized 15 years ago that no matter what I did, it wasn’t enough for men (not even my father). I’d read all of these self help books and manosphere articles, and no matter what, I was always wrong. So I figured it was easier to be wrong and alone than wrong with a man.

Half of what I've learned is the dumb stuff that they hear, that NO MAN ever says in front of me. The "spotlight" would include everything from being told to "smile" by complete strangers to catcalling, stalking, and on-the-job sexual harassment. 100% I'd love to get married and have a family, but it takes two people, and if I can't find one single man who can provide the bare minimum (like I'm ready to offer that bare minimum myself and a big surpluss because I've done the work, including being financially stable), then my only option is to remain single. It's that simple!
Also, in my experience, when I have accepted men who brought too little to the table they felt insecure and left me, and if they brought more to the table financially then they were too cocky and manipulative playing games and I left them. In either case both groups of men lacked maturity and emotional intelligence. I know there are good guys out there, but they are really hard to find. I know some good guys also struggle finding good women, but those good men are certainly not bitter and blaming women for everything, and focus on what they can control which is their own self-growth and being a good person.

I didn't settle (although some people may think so based on their standards) but I disregarded things that were not deal breakers but only luxuries and got a man who offered qualities that I valued most. For me it was his ability to be a great provider, kind and respectful, dependable, classy, has integrity, highly educated, health conscious, and from a good family. Those were my must haves. Everything else wasn't important.
