The best hotel on Khao San Road Bangkok Thailand is Dang Derm Hotel

Dang Derm Hotel is located on the world famous Khao San Road in Bangkok Thailand. They offer 6 different room types catering for 1-5 people. The room price start at 1000 baht ( $30 ) upto 2650 baht ( $85-$90 ). Breakfast is inlcuded with all room bookings. You can walk in off the street to check availablility, but to ensure a room is available it is best to book online. If you dont like sleeping with loud noise, ask for a room at the back of the hotel. There is a roof top swimming pool to help you keep cool during the hot days. The pool has great ambience with music playing and alcohol being served poolside. Dang Derm Hotel has the same owners as D and D Inn, which is also located on Khao San Road. Dang Derm is alot newer and slightly more expensive. They also own a cheaper hostel named Lucky House. Hey DF, next time you there could you ask if they have a monthly rate (would be May if it matters). and what is the charge if any for an overnight guest.Thanks
Hi, we booked to stay there - we told them we would arrive after midnight by phone and by email - no problem they told us - however when we arrived (about 1.30am) they told us they cancelled our booking and that the room had gone and we'd have to pay for a more expensive room (2000 baht). We told them where to go and stayed in a different hotel. The next day they then tried to charge us for the cancellation! We called booking.com and it turns out they had cancelled the room AFTER we had turned up! Luckily we had evidence we had been there. In conclusion be VERY careful with this hotel.

stayed at the D&D before had a room no good never again but that places looks ok
Hi Bradley, Dang Derm is alot newer and a higher quality hotel than D & D Inn. They have the same owners. They also have another hotel which is on the cheaper end of the scale called Lucky House. If you look at the description i have included a link to there website ( khaosanby ) of all 3 hotels. I have stayed in all 3 over the years and all of them have been great for me depending on the purpose of my stay. Nowadays, i prefer Dang Derm over D&D and Lucky House.

Christiaan Dijkstra You are right, it is not a cheap hotel for the Khao San Road area. Not everyone visiting Khao San Road wants to stay in 200 baht a night shared room and bathroom. There are people travelling with enough money that dropping $30-$40 per night on accommodation in Bangkok is not a big deal. Happy travels mate and stay safe. Regards DF
Thanks for the heads up. The same is going on across the road at their other hotel D & D Inn. I stayed there recently and there were also renovating. No safety deposit boxs at reception or in the rooms. I'm sure once they are finished everything will be back to normal again. ua-cam.com/video/j50JA59z-YQ/v-deo.html
I might stick my head in to see how D & D Inn looks after the renovations, but it's Dang Derm for me anytime i am in the area. Chokdee!

been in this road twice, first time in 2004 in the off season, wow that was a bad idea, a wall of heat, second time 2008 subprime meltdown and it was even cheaper in the busy season as nobody had money to travel.
