Brother, hearing you share your views IS “open air freedom” aka a breath of fresh air…I much appreciate your “just the facts, mam” approach, laced with just the right amount of humor…you’d also receive a 10 on a 10 scale in the exuberance category. I am currently in the midst of negotiations for a new 2023 F3S with one of my semi-local dealers…should know if it’s a go sometime manana. Thanks for your insights/suggestions & keep fight’n the good fight✝️
Thanks for the nice overview and yes, you called it perfectly: the F3 lineup really is pretty confusing at first. I'm currently riding a Ryker 900 sport, but definitely eyeing an F3S already, just not sure whether in want (or need) a tourer or a cruiser. Your video cleared up some misconceptions I had, thanks!
Open-air freedom 😂 Thanks for all your information. My wife had a RT Limited that I rode more than she did. I’ve been riding since I was 18. In mid 50’s now. Currently have a 2022 Triumph Rocket 3R. I added the passenger backrest and a luggage rack for my wife to feel a little more comfortable and to be able to carry more stuff if need be. Even after doing that my wife just isn’t all that comfortable riding. A lot has to do with where we live (metro Atlanta) and the fact that she just doesn’t like riding like me. She actually wants me to sell my bike. I’m on blood thinners for life and she fears the worst. I’ve recently thought about getting another Spyder so your videos are helpful. It’s just the two of us and there’s so many wonderful roads nearby. I don’t want to give up riding and would love for her to join me. I found a 2021 Can-Am® Spyder® F3 SE6 but I really would rather have an RT Limited. I keep searching the net and hope I can work a deal. God bless you and Coach Vick! Stay safe!
@@CoachBob3 as I’m surfing the net looking for a RT Limited…. Torn because I love the new design but there are some really good prices on the 2019 and older models.
“Open air freedom” whoo hoo! For me, I rode the RT-L and F3 -L and chose the F3 based on sitting position. It was just more comfortable for me. You do give up storage capacity though. The new RT’s sit a bit different than the previous model.
"Open air freedom"... Love the channel! Been watching everything Can AM and your channel is the best. I can't give up my R9T but may add the Can Am for touring this year!
If I ever go to a trike, it will be the F3 ltd. Like how the rider sits lower in the bike. Rode one when my wife got her Ryker and I liked it. Keep up the great videos!
Open air freedom...lmao I enjoy your channel, but I have a 2013 so you don't don't cover much for me. I would like to have a canam patch. thank you and have a great day and ride the bike of your dreams
'open air freedom' LOL. Looks like BRP needs a new marketing team to replace some of these catch phrases. I gotta say, I just love my '19 F3 Limited. I love the feel, the sitting position and the ride.
Open air freedom amazing, I have a 2021 F3 Limited and it was less than 25K. I changed the windshield for a larger one, added fog lights and highway pegs. I really like it and me it was the best buy, nice job with the comparisons CB.
After owning my F3 Ltd here in Perth Western Australia 🇦🇺, after three weeks. I can say the open air freedom is amazing...! Here in Australia, we can only buy black on black. 😉
Coach Bob If I keep watching your videos I’m going to sell the whole stable and get a spYder! A lot options. The only one I’ve ever ridden is the f3 limited. I like the Petrol metallic!
New subscriber. Enjoying the open air freedom of your channel and great info. I'm dealing with an off-the-wall situation. Bought a Goldwing, realized that my knees and hips are shot, so I can't ride it. :( Looking at trading it for a Spyder of some flavor. Appreciate your no-nonsense (ok, maybe a little nonsense) reviews and ride vids to help guide me along. :)
I hate that the Wing is problematic for ya... that is a fine machine. I think you'll love the Spyder.. It takes a bit of time to adjust your riding style but in the end it is very rewarding. Thanks for watching and welcome to the channel!!!
Another great video. Great analysis and “open” opinion of the different models. Your enthusiasm is always a breath of fresh “air”. Thank you to the ever beautiful, always effervescent, Coach Vick for giving you “freedom” from the dreaded to-do list in making these videos. Cheers to your week.
I found your information very informative thank you today. I bought the Can-Am RD spider F3 LTD red . Very pricey toy, but boy I will have a whole Lotta fun
FREE Open Air AND Freedom? That you BRP for inventing something I already had. I can't believe I spent years in closed air environments. Thank you BRP for our new "Open Air Freedom". If only I had an F3 and not an RT Limited I could also snack on bugs as I drive in my new open air (and now snack rich windshield free) open air bug in the face design. Now I can breathe and be a free American on my Canadian bike. Coach Bob, thank you for taking a boring topic and making it interesting to the very end! I am once again well informed because of your videos!
"Open air freedom" is really code for your dealer ( or the one you trust for service) is 2+ hours away. That and BRP connect are 2 areas that need vast improvements. But I wouldn't trade to ride anything else.
Hi Bob great video! I ride an F3 Limited 2019 and i love the "OPEN AIR FREEDOM OPTION" LOL. I love your videos keep informing us like you do. Have a blessed day. Hope to see you in Deland!!
Man awesome video very informative! Liked and subscribed! I’ve had a Ryker 900 for 3 years now but next year I’m going to upgrade to a Spyder and this video definitely helped me out alot so thank you! Definitely going to get the F3 S Special so I can keep my Sport mode😂
The praying mantis lizard 🦎 green F3-S is the one that catches my eye. Open air freedom! 😂😂 Cheesy and brilliant marketing for a shortcoming. Well done on the breakdown Coach Bob.
Coach Bob, Thank you I personally think you did an excellent job explaining the F3 models. Actually last Thursday I ordered a 2023 F3T, Blue model, I have been patiently waiting for the 2023 models. I know it will be a long wait to get the 23 model probably 10 months but that's ok as I just bought a 2014 Honda Valkyrie to ride during the winter months in Florida. So I will have something to ride and enjoy until I get my new F3T. Thank you very much for explaining about the F3 line up.. Joe.
Yes I believe all Motorcycles gives you Open Air Freedom don't they. LOL I can see with the open engine that it MIGHT be cooler because of the wind going over or hitting the engine. But I till like the RTL with enclosed engine. Not into the next one at all but I will still watch. Some people like them, I am thinking they are more of a play machine. BUT, to each their own. Have a great day Coach Bob.
Dang coach, I would have waited for the new models to come out if I would have known they included open air freedom!!! I wish that was offered on my 2020 model!!!!
"Open air freedom" is such a catchy phrase to say. Alrighty then. Have you heard about the cyber attack on BRP? I've got my Spyder in the shop for an oil change and that was completed. Since I took delivery of the bike, the signature LED lights have not worked. Since it's still under warranty, I told them to look at it. They were going to contact BRP to start the work then the cyber attack came so the bike is stuck there. 😠 Going on 3 weeks now.
Maybe that had something to do with all of the confusion surrounding the acquisition of our taillight... Brother...3 weeks.. that is PAINFUL!!! Also.. glad to see your doing better.. my cough lasted almost 6 weeks.. hopefully yours disappears more quickly. God Bless ya buddy. Always great to hear from you.
Thanks coach Bob, what are the Can Am Spiders like for price depreciation? Say I bought the bike and after two years I decided to move it on. Do you think they hold their price like the more popular motorcycles and cars do, say for example BMW? Bye the way, I love the freedom of open top cruising.
Now..thats a tuff question, in this economy. So far, mine has actually appreciated in value. However, I did buy at the "bottom". I think with an aging populous and kids not growing up on two wheelers. The 3 wheeled market, I believe, is going to explode. Which means prices are gonna continue to go up (in Theory). The BMW's definitely hold there value..unlike most of the other European competitors. Which I honestly ..I am confounded by that. The GS always amazes me at how its value has held on for so long. Even as the model evolves.. the old ones are still drawing the big bucks. They are definitely "unicorns". I don't know if that helped. Thanks for the question and ride safe my friend. CB3
I have a 2013 Spyder STS SE5 Finding information particular to my bike has proven somewhat troublesome. It gets thrown in with other models and newer models and includes information that is not applicable to my bike. Can you help me in that respect ?
Thanks for the video. I'm considering making the switch from 2 wheels to 3 and the Spyder lineup is my leading choice if I do make the switch. After reading and watching too many videos about the different models I'm currently trying to decide between an F3-S setup for light 2-up touring or an F3 Limited. I like the "open" look of the F3 compared to the RT which seems to allow more "air" to flow through the engine area. I'm looking forward to the Spyder providing the "freedom" to continue my riding years as I get older. In all seriousness, I would love to see a comparison between an F3-S and the F3 Limited when it comes to performance. I.e. does Sport mode on the S model make a noticeable difference when compared to the Limited. Do the different shocks (even the 2-up rear shock) make a noticeable difference between the S and Limited. Finally, how does add on luggage (SHAD and others) compare to the integrated luggage. As you noted, there are so many aftermarket options for these things that you could probably make an F3-S nearly as comfortable for touring as a Limited but can you make a Limited as sporty as an S?
I will see what I can do with this suggestion. I have some cool stuff coming up in late August. Hopefully it will be helpful in getting the perfect model!!!
Hi Coach, a great run-down many thanks, as & when it happens it will be the F3s (was married for 24 years & now a devout singleton) so single seat & seat cowl will be spot on. Sadly my brain was fried before watching so will give myself another viewing when its cooled off a little. I've been watching Can-am news releases on 2023 models & from what I can see BRP's imagination seems to have been in reverse for the F3/F3s, not even a colour option which sucks. Prices in the UK start at £24K GBP ($28,325 USD)with a dealer network of only 4 in the Country making after sales support limited at best as & when something does go pair shaped. Take care, wishing yourself & CoachVic health & happiness.
Good luck on your quest brother!!! I appreciate ya watching. We have a lot more dealers here in the States. But, the dealer network and parts acquisition is still a nightmare. Let me know what ya end up getting.
Love your videos and im subscribed to your channel. I own a 2020 Ryker Rally and im looking to trade it in next year for either the spyder f3s or f3t. Thanks for the information
Open air outside, inside a helmet. I did make it to the end of the video. Got some questions. I am 49 y/o male, was a physical therapist up till 6 months ago. Injured back and lost my left quadriceps, unable to keep up my Concours. Most people would say get a car. I was 100 percent motorcyclist up till injury. I have signed up for Can-am course in June. But how much inner leg and lower leg strength is needed to ride this machine? Thank you for your time. Hard for me to think I have to sell my 2021 Concours right now and move away from the beach and attempt to make a living. But sanity of open air, lol, is needed.
First let me say I am sorry that you are going through such a rough time. It is very low strength requirement .. all you do with your feet is press the brake with your right foot. If that is difficult you can buy a hand brake though a company called ISCI. There are many paraplegics riding Spyder in this way. So it is definitely doable. Lemme know what you end up doing.
@@CoachBob3 will do on responding to you later this summer when I take the course and possible purchase of one. I did leave out, it is my left quads and lower calf area that is effected. Thank you for your opinion for riding and possible struggle I had mentioned.
love the open air.....freedom..yea...im in the stage with the f3 t and the limited....i like the sporty look....but the rt's i like too for the floor boards.. the seats on rt to me feel better than the f3-t...i have to weigh the odds me i like touring...im coming from the harley ultra line... any suggestions
I am probably not really objective... I love my RT. It handles well for small in town jaunts and it just absolutely eats up the miles on trips. Like you..I think the F3 looks cooler... but for function..the RT is the machine for me. Thanks for watching and good luck on your quest. Let us know what you decide. CB3
yea thanks for the reply...its a decision....alright....ive done the test rides on both...for my type of riding and health issues.ill probably pull the trigger on the rt limited
Thanks coach Bob on your solid reviews. I just purchased a 23 F3 limited SE and absolutely love it! I have a question for you - what are your thoughts on upgrading to a more robust aftermarket sway bar? Does it change the handling? Thanks in advance!
Coach maybe you cn help me, just bought my Spyder F3 limited (2017) and I have used the back truc a few times and although it is shut and locked I get a mesage that it is open. How can I clear that?
My question is to you coach bob.what made you choose the Can-Am over a Harley, our Honda trike?I have a Can-Am Spyder rt limited but was curious about your reason?
I will be releasing a video this Wednesday answering this excellent question. The list of reasons would be difficult to list. so look for that video...on Wednesday 03/15/23.
Okay I'll be waiting.just want you to know because of you and the wife story and the comments on some of the products for the Spyders the wife and I was interested in buying one and actually brought one a month ago . I think we got one for a lot of the same reasons.but curious about your reason.i hope to meet you guys one day on a trip or at a rally .thanks for responding back.
Love your vids coach. I’m 62, 6’4” 280 lbs, haven’t rode a bike since high school. 8 more years on the job, 5 mile round trip commute all surface roads, want to enjoy my commute. Looking at F3? Should I stick to the boring 4 wheels/4WD or have some fun. Usually less than 3 months of snow with only MAYBE 20” of snow all winter. So coach, advice?
My brother just cut off all of his hair, he now has "open air freedom" 🤣, quick question coach, so I'm leaning heavily towards the spyder as opposed to the ryker, and I'm a perite female 5'3", but i just want to cruise and ride mines to work(which is an hour away from my farm), not gonna be touring on it but I'd still like to have a comfortable ride, which model wld you suggest for a petite female??
The Spyder's are physically large.. but s small person can easily handle any of them. If I were going to ride to work daily.. I would definitely want saddle bags for rain gear, lunch box, paperwork and a place to lock my helmet and jacket. The RT base.. I think is a very nice machine for that. Also.. if you ever decide to go on a big tour.. you can add the back saddle bag or other touring gear... Good luck on your quest and thanks for watching and commenting. CB3
Open Air Freedom I'm spoiled by Cruise control, heated grips and seat. I won't buy anything without Cruise control. I've rode the F3L ,but it wasn't for me. I'm a RT guy .
That is correct. The F3S and F3S special both. The 2 up conversion is a $440 accessory up charge. It isn’t until ya go F3T or higher that it is standard. Thanks for watching and commenting.

I will see what I can do with this suggestion. I have some cool stuff coming up in late August. Hopefully it will be helpful in getting the perfect model!!!
Open air freedom!!!! Great information!
Bob I need help, I have a spyder f3s 2023 and inside the frunk there are 2 usb cables and I can't lift the frunk out, how do handle this...
@@CoachBob3 Will do, have a great weekend !!
Love your videos and im subscribed to your channel. I own a 2020 Ryker Rally and im looking to trade it in next year for either the spyder f3s or f3t. Thanks for the information
Thanks for the sub! I am glad you're here.
“Open air freedom”
A Can Am exclusive!! 😇
😂😂😂 True 😂😂😂
You forgot to go over the "open air freedom" if possible, could you go more in to detail? 🤔 🤣
Open air freedom whooo!!!!😅😅😅😅
Is the ufit on the 2022 f3 base model? What differences are between the 22 and the 23?
Can you add a trailer system to the F3 S
Absolutely. Yessir.
You know, Coach, besides Open Air Freedom, Climatic Air comes Free of Charge.
😂😂😂
Open Freedom Can-Am Spyder.🤣🤣
Open air freedom is a silly selling point since you get that on all motorcycles and even a convertible.
😂😂😂True😂😂😂
My Harley Davidson Streetglide has Open Air Freedom, lol.
AWESOME!!!!
CB3
"Open air freedom" just in case you did not know you were riding a bike!
31:20 Open air freedom!!!
Open Air Freedom
I'm spoiled by Cruise control, heated grips and seat. I won't buy anything without Cruise control. I've rode the F3L ,but it wasn't for me. I'm a RT guy .
Open air freedom 😜
you can’t ride 2 up on the f3 base?
That is correct. The F3S and F3S special both. The 2 up conversion is a $440 accessory up charge.
It isn’t until ya go F3T or higher that it is standard.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
Nice!!
Open Air Freedom. I wonder if the air cost extra?😂😂😂
I am 5 foot 1 can I ride spyder
Open air comfort
Open Air Freedom 😊
Open Air Freedom 😂😂😂

Exactly the same F3’s as 2022.
