@@trevorcronin9249shut the hell up always somebody to criticize
Having someone gush about the removal of stalks doesn't make the absence of the indicator stalk any better. This is a pure cost-cutting measure and a UI disaster. To push this as "amazing UI" is laughable.
To have videos like this, with the actual brains that have designed the car is amazing. Not two PR guys that have learned words but two passionate guys here
One of Tesla's biggest unsung abilities is to accumulate geniuses. You guys are both geniuses.
Very true
The original ones were the geniuses in thermodynamics aerodynamics electronics and connectivity.
Fettling for 5 years is no way to prepare for BYD et al …….let alone the Hyundai Group.
Gigacastings are causing serious indigestion to the insurance industry and undermining second hand values.

Ok genius
Have you sold the M3 yet?
@@rogerstarkey5390 it went because the decontenting message was received loud and clear. Unbelievable.
Love the nerd talk! ❤
After driving a highland for two weeks, I am blown away by the increase in comfort, noise, and quality, adore my car🎉
How much was the total cost?
It’s an amazing car
@@tpad6 the base price for the 3 fortunately is the same $38,000 as the last 3. Most likely the same prices all around for the top spec long range 3.
Its a massive improvement. I cant wait to get mine!
6 months with mine, still putting a smile on my face everything I get to drive it.
Three years years for me, I love my TESLA
Congrats to the Tesla team for such a great achievement with this vehicle. I can't wait for the new Model Y Juniper
I’m waiting for the refreshed Y 🙏🏻 also
That's awesome!
How about the New Tesla Innovation shares?
Do you have any?
The reason why Tesla is such an amazing success: brilliant minds on the Tesla Team! Congratulations guys, I admire you so much!
18:37 Lowering sentry mode consumption by 40%! That’s a huge improvement. I’ve all but stopped using it since it draws too much power
My son did not have his century mode turned on when he first got his car and someone backed into it so now he’s responsible for the repairs, not worth leaving your century mode off
I have a highland and two weeks after getting it someone backed into while parked. Sentry mode caught everything. Def second the above reply, def worth the extra battery usage. Charging a little longer today will save you tons of time/money debating insurance adjusters in the future.
there's a feature to have it turn off when you are parked in your garage.. i keep mine on 24/7 and have it turned off in my house because the only other person that can hit my car at my house is my wife lol. But seriously it doesnt use that much power.. youre at work for 8 hours and thats only 8 miles of range to protect you from thousands if something were to happen..
To me, the dominating factor is not the power draw, it's more the extreme sensitivity. If I park on the street in Denmark I will often get about 1 clip per 2 minutes, mostly from pedestrians just walking within a feet past the car. That wouldn't be a problem if it was very quick to both review and delete the clips, but for me it's often been very slow, buggy and laggy.
And I have a friend who was hit by small debris from a semi and Tesla's camera resolution just wasn't good enough, and it doesn't provide timestamps or travel speed on the video either. So even though Sentry Mode was a great unexpected addition to the car, it's still lacking compared to a 3rd party dashcam - on top of the power draw.
@@Muskar2 if you have hundreds of clips then you dont need to review them.. only review them if you notice something thats wrong with your car.. basically its there if you need it and you can ignore the clips if you dont need them.. it auto deletes old clips and replaces them with new ones
This is a beautiful drive compared to previous generation. You have to feel it to believe it. Well done team. 👏🏿
The fact that Tesla is still marketing and updating us on the new model 3 is so nice about them
Awesome! Beats advertising any day to have these guys talk and answer questions. Great job!
You two should have your own Tesla comic strip called Franz ans Hanz.
I’ll pay for that❤
The Highland is my second M3 after 2020. Massive improvements!
I was fortunate enough to drive one a week ago, and have a 2022 Model 3 for comparison. Extremely delighted to see the ride quality improvements. It would take me a while to learn to use the new directional signals, or no stalks on the steering column. The front end redesign with headlights looks great!
Hi from New Zealand been driving the highland down here for a few months loving it.
New Plymouth ?
Try driving a real car, you'll love it so much more
@@URsooomad8613Yeah as if… have you even driven a tesla?
@@URsooomad8613last time I check it’s is a real car infact I prefer it to any cars I’ve ever owned over 40 cars
@@URsooomad8613 Have had a Charger SRT 392, Genesis G70 3.3T and a few others prior. Love my tesla the most idk what you're saying.
This is the best form of advertising
What’s happening with the Model 3 Performance?
Could they be waiting on some roadster tech.?
Should be coming super soon. Performance trim Model 3s were spotted recently, Tesla is making promotional videos of the new vehicle.
Pay more attention
Oh damn, I love your guys' channel.
@@dantebarnes8187 Probably on some high power density cells from china and a transmission with a different gear ratio for the rear motor since it's probably going to be a Plaid motor.
Lets go Franz and Lars!!
Best buy in its class

Too bad it's only 1 layer of paint☠️

Why not?@@InfernalOd1n
You guys forgot about usability in roundabouts, when going stalkless.
It is a cost-cutting measure, not an attempt at improving usability. Note how he led with "efficiency". People appear to think they are hearing "real talk" from engineers, but there is a lot of marketing BS in what they say.
Awesome that you two took the time to do this. Keep it up please!
I ordered the new Model 3 in Oct 2023, without even taking a test drive. So convinced was I that this would be a fantastic car. I haven't been disappointed. The new Model 3 offers the best value for money at the moment. Keep delivering magic for your customers! ❤
Proud owner of a 2023 Model 3. Great video guys
Do you like the suspension? From what I have seen, I would get motion sickness from all the rocking and bouncing.
@@Garrison169It’s great! My GF usually gets motion sick and so do I when I’m a passenger. But she loves driving and being a passenger in my Tesla. Already over 86.000 km in and enjoying every minute.
@@nielsvandenkieboom5034 I was hoping to get a response from someone who has driven the 2024 M3 with the new suspension.
@@Garrison169 I have, don’t own it yet (ordering next year). It’s a lot smoother and removes bumps.
@@nielsvandenkieboom5034 The suspension is supposed to be a lot softer. But from what I saw in a couple of videos was a car that bounced and rocked on bumps. The suspension should absorb the impacts and not transmit them to the chassis.
Got the refreshed M3 RWD in Dec and since then it has clocked 5500km. Its efficiency has been amazing with an average of 137wH/km. Simply the most efficient EV out there.
In what temperatures? My 2018 Model 3 hits that efficiency daily in the summer. But in the winter, it goes down to ~180/190Wh/km
Appreciate the whole team
I just got one here in California and its amazing! I got the white with the nova wheels and don't regret it. I usually prefer all black wheels but the new Nova design are definitely "non-basic" and look really nice in person!
Thanks for the stream and for answering our questions!! Amazing work on this new Model 3.
Thanks also for uploading this on UA-cam, I thought I'd have to watch this on X :)
This car is gorgeous!!! I fell in love with this car. After several test drives it is quiet, comfortable, refined and very fast. I love the tech, minimalism, stalkless design it's futuristic. In beginning of February I ordered the M3 LR. First EV🎉🎉. It now says delivery between March 15-31 !!! Can't wait to be part of Tesla family. Phoenix AZ. Stealth Grey black interior.
Ordered the same as you. 3 weeks since I got it, it’s a fantastic car!
Awesome how they explain all those design and engineering features. No other companies do it in such an interesting and informal manner. In addition great advice / guidance for BMW, Audi, Mercedes 😅.
Test drove and then bought the refresh/redesign. These two aren’t salesmen: this is the best car you can buy for the money. Insane value, superb vehicle.
Excited to be getting the Model 3 in one week! Live in Thailand
Wow that’s cool congratulations 🎉
Nerding out right now and loving it
Perfect timing for this video. Day after the Rivian R2/R3/R3X reveal 😮😮😮
It's always the day after/ before something
@@rogerstarkey5390 I learned something new. Thanks.
Nice refresh! I'm glad to see styling growing more differentiated from the Y platform.
Awesome. Great to see the team producing their own content
Gonna get this one, working towards it.
You need to add auto indicators/blinkers on roundabouts when navigating. It is awkward/dangerous to indicate roundabout exits manually on the wheel.
Where is the M3P ????
I think we are going to get a M3 Ludicrous announcement within 6 months, but I don't think it will have a tri-motor Plaid drive train
@@SonderCrowYeah tri motor won't fit. They said it in Jay Leno's Garage
M3P means Model 3 Performance, not Plaid@@SonderCrow
Coming Soon
Is it really safer to have look down to find a button in a roundabout?.
Огонь! 🔥 Огромное спасибо, снимайте такие live'ы почаще, пожалуйста!)))
Nobody thought of making the Chief Designer and the Chief Engineer work together and complement eachother. 💕
But then of course, like the two of them explained, there is a huge team of brilliant hardworking people behind them ❤️
I truly appreciate their attempt to highlight the improvements and some of the statements are so underappreciated, perfect example is blind spot monitoring which is a real improved safety feature that I would never buy a new car now without it. Missing are enhanced suspension, quieter sound quality etc
I love designers and engineers. This is so fascinating. Makes me grateful for the chances I get in life to think in similar ways. Wonderful humans ❤.
Now I want another one of these video explainers for M3P.
Loved this. Thank you guys. Please do this more. Wonderful for the Tesla community.
Where is the Ludicrous?
Two weeks.
@@davincisghost9228how you know
really liked this format, hope to see more of this
It would be a big upgrade if the trunk could open like a hatchback
It would be a complete restructure.
Not happening.
I did a test drive; can confirm it’s absolutely sick
Love this content.
Great team with fantastic cooperation.
Great to see your passion about what you worked on. Really inspiring and one of many things that makes Tesla unique is something like making these presentations.
They’re here to 👏 to pump us up!
Awesome. Totally. You guys are rockin it.
Test drive this car and was blown away.
test driving a highland today, super excited 🎉
Did a test drive on the new model 3 last week. I think the main thing missing is definitely a heads up display, it would make the life so much easier for the driver to easily see the speed while driving. All the rest is spot on!
Instead of a screen placed in an inconvenient position in the rear, how about adding a binnacle in front of the steering wheel. Head Up Display would be a bonus, but so would physical buttons and stalks. Tesla has gone too far with the minimalist interface.
I’ve had the Model 3 for 3 months and I am loving it!
Picking up my new red beauty next week!
Pumpin' up Tesla with Franz and Hans
👍👍👍 awesome Q&A, can’t get enough, we love you guys!
Love the focus on quality. It’s something customers can be proud of.
These videos are brilliant, thank you
Thank you gentlemen, truly remarkable, always pushing the limit.
Great upgrades! Hats off to the TESLA team.
Love it, waiting for the refresh model Y🙏🏻love the new red, I also love the ventilated seats❤️ this is an excellent refresh
Better than any ad would ever be, great A Team presence, taking time to inform like with the Sandy Munro special with the entire team.
I'm an all in investor & have been following you guys since the very early days, one day I might get to buy & drive a Tesla, hope to do so before I die, maybe an unboxed model Tau if it ever makes it over here.
Love from Scotland
Tesla's biggest assets are not the car's, it's the people behind them. These two gents prove it.
Great video. Would have loved to hear thoughts on steering, the new control arms, different ratios and deets on the new Performance model.
Awesome info... nice and casual delivery 🙌
Great car overall❤ Only think I wish it would have more room for my feed under the Pedals and on the left side. On AP I need to stretch my legs sometimes. Also the space for the seat controls on the driver side is pretty tide to reach as soon the door is closed. Can't wait for the Model Y facelift, great work Tesla Team❤
Love it, you should do it more often. More information for public
You guys are rockstars! Love my model 3 🇨🇦
Thank you Lars and Franz! It was interesting
Incredible car, great job tesla team
Ambient lighting is nice, hope a Model Y refresh isn't too far down the line. My preferred model, I like hatch/sportbacks, the second screen in back would be a winner for the kids.
It's so cool to see high level execs geek out and be proud of stuff being created.
You guys did make a beautiful car even better. Honestly, would have been perfect with stalks.... don't know if I'll swap my 2019 model 3 for a new one because of that. It's a safety issue for me.
Test drove this Monday and it’s the best driving car ever created.
Did a test drive yesterday and was indeed blown away, absoletly want one.
No stalk for turn lights is outright dangerous in a country with mostly roundabouts like Norway making them unsuitable for driving lessons and it is confirmed to get a reduced security score because of it. Not a dealbraker, but in reality it will just result in me not using turn lights in situations where I should.
Tesla vision also seems to have a lot of improvement potential and downsides to sensors.
Overall the price, drive and ease of use puts it ahead of it's competitors for me, but still on the fence financially.
Great guys, keep doing it more often!
Awesome explanation, guys! Thanks so much. Super excited about this car.
Can you make the side repeater lamps (turn signals by the side cameras) always on with the parking lights, then flash off & on then the turn signal is activated? Acura had a sedan like this several years ago & it was safer & looked great.
Had a chance to test drive it. It is a great car! Real smooth! Very quiet! Quality improved!
❤ Needed this! 😂 just because you are an executive doesn’t mean you have to hide from the customers the fact that you have a personality!😅
Love these guys
Are you guys putting back the indicator stalk that doesn't change the location and orientation of it?
When’s the 25k Tesla coming out
Cheers guys
awesome job guys! 👏
We are two wild and crazy guys!!!
Would love to see Tesla and spacex collab on some inhouse tires 🥰
I can't believe you didn't take this opportunity to make it a hatchback like the Y or the S so the rear glass lifts up with the trunk, that would actually make it practical.
You know how much more structure that would need?
Structure is weight.
They did that back in 2014. It’s called the Model S
@@RayNLA this video is specifically about the 3, sir.
@@rogerstarkey5390 you know how much better car that would make?
Beautiful refresh of a wonderful car.
Love you both 🎉
Thanks for the great video!
Great overview 🎉

I have a 2018, will I be able to upgrade the battery pack if battery tech improves in the future?
Franz AND Lars?? 🔥🔥🔥
It’s obvious they are feeling the crunch from the ‘best economy in years’…and not to mention the Rivian event yesterday. This car is already in production and they marketing the heck out it! I do like it very much. Competition is good for the consumer.
