  • Tune in for a mini band leg workout with big results in the latest installment of my at home workout series. One band, stronger quads, hamstrings, and glutes. A few rounds of this series could be a great way to warm up using a lighter band or finish off a leg workout with a stronger band. Also works well to pre-exhaust the legs prior to squats, lunges, etc. It's like a story where you can choose your own ending...or beginning.

    I really like these, thank you! On some of them, the band flies up my legs, though.

      Yes unfortunately sometimes they do. They also make fabric/cloth type bands now do that tend to stick to you better/don't slide up as much.

    Hi I am doing your mini band exercise everyday.i have weak legs due to GBS syndrome.is it beneficial for weak muscle for strength?

    • @ExerciseLab
      @ExerciseLab  2 роки тому

      Sorry to see this. I have treated a number of patients with GBS and it can by very debilitating. Any exercise that allows you to safely progress loading should help with strengthening, so yes many of these exercises can be beneficial. Focus on the movements that are especially difficult and put extra emphasis on the weaker side if you have one. Glad to see you've been doing these daily, but a day off every now and then isn't always a bad thing - make sure you're recovering. Best of luck and all the best 💪

    Thank you very much! How many reps and series is best to do?

    • @ExerciseLab
      @ExerciseLab  3 роки тому

      Personally I like doing a little bit higher rep count with some of these exercises (15-30 per set). Current research seems to indicate going to failure (or just short of failure) is key so whatever the number is make sure it's about the last one you can manage with decent form.

    Im unable to order as i am based up from India can you suggest best mini bands in India

    • @ExerciseLab
      @ExerciseLab  2 роки тому

      Most of these bands are more alike than different these days. I've found the Perform Better bands to be a bit more durable than some of the others I've tried but I'm sure there are others I haven't that are pretty good too. Get something that look similar/have decent reviews and you'll probably be fine 💪

    Can I get leg and arm like ur by mini band workout🏋🚴💪??

    • @ExerciseLab
      @ExerciseLab  3 роки тому +4

      I've built up my legs and arms over several years (which many fitness athletes and celebrities don't talk about). Unfortunately aside from PED's (which I don't recommend) there aren't any short cuts and it takes a lot of time and hard work to build a natural physique. These are great accessory exercises and as long as you're progressively getting stronger at them, for example, using more tension/doing more reps over time (just like how you use more weight in the gym) they can definitely help. You should also be doing exercises like squats, lunges/step ups, dead lifts, and intense cycling to maximize development of the legs.

  • @HarnekSingh12345

    How much reps???

    • @ExerciseLab
      @ExerciseLab  3 роки тому +7

      8-12 reps for 3 sets will give you a good balance of strength and muscle size. For a while less than 8 reps was considered the "strength zone" and more than 15 reps the "endurance zone" though more recent research has shown you can still gain muscle size by going upwards of 20-30 reps (you just don't get as strong).
      I like to do my first two sets (often supersets) 8-12 and then do a "burnout" for my final set where I will go to failure where I can't do another rep (whatever that number might be). Hope that helps.

    Please suggest me exercises for ACL tare with loop band

    • @ExerciseLab
      @ExerciseLab  3 роки тому

      Hi. The best exercises are going to depend somewhat on how large the tear is (partial/full) and whether or not you had surgery. Sorry if this doesn't quite answer your question, but I would need you to tell me a little more first.

      @@neelimakandi8688 Ok great, I just needed to know it well it was healed. Assuming it's well healed by now (and of course you've been cleared by your surgeon to exercise), any of the exercises in this video should be helpful. Emphasize doing one side at a time to make sure your strength on the operated side catches up to the "good side". You can add an extra set or two for each exercise until it catches up. You can also watch the Chair Exercise video and try the leg extensions I show in a chair (towards the end) which is great for the quadriceps (which are often quite weakened following an ACL surgery). Eventually I plan on adding another mini-band leg video part 2 with some seated/standing variations, but these exercises should be a great place to start.
