I just bought the Chevy 2500 ZR2. If they put the foot step on the rear bumper, it would make it better in my opinion. I like having the ability of getting into the bed of the truck without always opening the flex tailgate.
Thanks for the AEV bumper info update. The 1500 rear bumpers were released for $3k. AEV told me the HD rear bumper should have a similar price tag. I was afraid to ask how much the front bumper will run.
@@R1MDUDE would you mind sharing the bed payload for a camper from you glovebox? I'm itching to buy the 2500 at4x and a hawk slide in camper but i can't find this spec for the at4X after all the suspension and skid plates are added
I've been looking at this truck and the Chevrolet 2500HD ZR2 Bison for the past year. Love the look of the GMC. But you can't get it without a sunroof. The ZR2 you can. Hate sunroofs. Cost is terrible. But...I drive for a living. Deliver hog feed 5-6 days a week 350-400 miles a day. Tractor/trailer. Rough roads bad driveways to farms. So when I get out of my T880 Kenworth I want something comfortable in a fullsize diesel pickup. Nothing will ever get cheaper. Period. These 2 pickups ride and drive really nice. Due to the specific trim level. Will the price suck? Yep. Will I travel to get the best price? Yep. Will I get one? YEP! Do I need it? Nope. But it is what I want and I work hard every day. I've waited 3 years. Long enough. I'll enjoy my truck every day. Price be damn. Can't take it with you. Thank you for the video.
JB, I have seen a picture on an online forum that supposedly showed a 2025 with the aux switch bank in the center console in front of the trailer brake controller.
GM will be releasing a kit to make the 6.6l gas hood functional. It's in the catalog already with a PN and price. Should be around $1000. Also found an exhaust for the gasser from GM but no pricing yet.
The two features I would wish I had that I did not get on my 2021 GMC 2500HD is the massaging seats (not an option on that model year), and the AUX switches. (Those can be added later through GM parts division for about $400 if you do the install yourself. )
It's mostly in the bumpers and wheels. I'd argue the bumpers are pretty damn good too. Skid plates arnt bad. Lift and stitching and all that is whatever. Also have to add they are much better looking in person than in video. I was indifferent until I stood next to it. Some guys are leveling these and fitting 37s which is pretty crazy. Of course there's always the argument of buying a lower model and building it yourself. You'll likely spend alot more by the time it's all said and done. But if you're good with this its a damn good truck and it's all under the factory and extended warranties
I have noticed that the factory is installing the spare wheel/tire incorrectly, according to their own manual. Seen it on multiple Chevy and GMC models.
Its a different bumper, but in that spot where GM has a step, there is a blind spot monitor. Do you really need a corner step when the tailgate makes a stairway into the bed?
I wouldn't mind renting one but I just wouldn't go out to buy one. It's a sick and neat toy at a glance just the parts, that weak under coating just aren't premium enough to justify the asking imo.
@@fattie2550 right, I just picked up a 6.2 1500 LT Trail Boss and I put $25k CAD down between cash and trade in, and my payment is still $872 a month. It's done nothing but save me money every year.
New trucks are depreciating assets. Unless you own a business and the truck is used to make money, every doodad and thingamabob you buy to dress it up is basically going to go up in smoke. If you have endless financial resources, then you are welcome to spend it anyway you want. But with the sharp increase in prices that have occurred in this industry over the last few years, more than a few naive buyers may find themselves in financial trouble for years to come. All I heard was an infomercial, plain and simple. When I hear someone gush about something that is so wildly overpriced, I can't help but feel embarrassed for them...
@@BisonMan-im4zx I'll try to use simple words to explain it to you. These trucks have increased in cost at a rate that has far outpaced inflation. For those who do care about the outrageous prices (perhaps you don't), I intend to join many others to voice my disgust in hopes the manufacturers will hear it. Gushing will only encourage such increases.
@@andrewmartin5531 Why do you not think I can not understand your statement? You do realize car manufacturers are very good at reading what the market wants. Can you disable the heated seats in the back row? It would be full of car seats.
The heaters only turn on if someone manually pushes a button so no worries, my truck has car seats also 😅
